Awsome video! I really like the ace deck a lot of people have been saying it’s not playable but it really does a lot when playing it right even won my locals this week against geko and reiju decks
I am excited to see what you do with this deck. Not easy putting in the time to properly remember searches & card placement in the deck without any "note taking" being legal in official tournaments. Always a treat seeing what you're cooking up. Good luck in your endeavors pirate!
Thank you Lambchop! I was planning to take a break from competitive play, because I haven’t really enjoyed the formats since 05 where you just have to follow a curve every game. However, this deck is making me reconsider because I really enjoy the mechanics and Ace is my favorite character.
@@ReillyTCG I feel it. Obviously I don’t play at a super competitive level but even casual play has gotten a bit stale with the 05/06 format. It’s too predictable & repetitive in my opinion. ST-13 shakes things up a bit & then 07 will bring a bit more diversity so I think people who have been a bit burnt out will be able enjoy a breath of fresh air in the game.

I read the effects of these evolution cards (the 3 brothers) but seeing them in action really shows how strong they can be. getting a big body for the cost of the smaller versions lets you swing with so much power.
they’re super fun! I really enjoy them because they allow flexibility with your don!! and don’t rely on a particular curve like most decks do now.

What do you do if you have a big brother Ace Luffy or Sabo in hand after mulligan at the start? Match-up like Moria or sakazuki you can't be able to keep your body in play after playing on curve
I will add it to life with Hiyori if I whiff a leader effect, or if it is luffy/sabo I will counter with them (unless I value their effect, such as using sabo to remove a character). I will hold Ace because at 9/10 don!! you can use leader effect + a baby + rush Ace.

What’s your technique for keeping track of what you’ve already searched? I would have a hard time knowing how many cards are between first search and rest of deck
I start with 9 cards (5 in hand, 4 life) after each draw effect I add to the count. For example draw for turn + lead effect puts me to 15, meaning I have 35 cards in deck I haven’t seen. Then in my head I will add the first letters of the 5c brother I bottom deck. So I draw, lead effect and bottom deck Ace, Luffy Sabo; so in my head I think 15ALS.

@@ReillyTCG I like the idea of keeping track of how far away what you've bottom-decked is but my God, I don't understand nor would I be able to follow this idea LOL but more power to you! I'll have to figure out a simpler system that works for me, but it's something I hadn't even thought about until seeing this.

I am happy with the voiceover but I agree that taking fifty percent of the screen is a lot. Would be better to see the cards more.
Thoughts on gravity blade? I see a lot of people saying it's core in the list. It's quite expensive, but seems very impactful this meta
for me, the goal of the deck is to make my leader a 7k every turn, every card in the deck is geared towards achieving that goal and surviving the turns that I don’t. That card being no counter and not being playable in conjunction with leader ability and a 2c brother is why I wouldn’t play it. On 8/9 don!! I would rather use leader ability, play pudding and play a brother combo.
No I believe that's a huge reason as to why more people think this deck isn't that good. It is NOT core to the deck and actually hinders the main goal of this deck. Gravity Blade itself IS a good card of course, but in this deck, it not only prevents you from utilizing your leader's effect, but it also lowers your consistency as well. I believe that and maybe even Sanji's Pilaf should NOT be played in this deck if you're playing it correctly. Shirahoshi is just FAR superior to Sanji's Pilaf in every way! It helps SO much with your leader's effect consistency and can be set in life after grabbing it with leader using Hiyori to heal AND get the card draw, plus has counter. People just want to do TOO much with this deck. If you focus EVERYTHING into doing what you can to try and be a 7k leader every turn, this deck seriously shines! And it is FAAARRR more consistent in becoming a 7k leader every turn than even Luffy and especially Sabo. I genuinely believe that Ace is low-key the best leader out of the 3 brothers in terms of power and consistency IF played correctly with the right deck list...

5:04 don’t you have to trash a life with 5 drop Sabo effect?
Hi! The card say "You may trash the top card of your life" That way you can decide whether you trash it or not
Do you always use leader ability on your first turn?
If I don’t have an alternative play such as garp or pilaf, or I think that garp/pilaf will fit into my curve better on subsequent turns then I will use leader ability to get more deck information.
