Came across an older gentlemen with a Woodsman. It was a little beat up as it was this gentlemens father's gun. Caught my eye as I thoght it was a Browning. I have a Nomad and love it.
I'Ve got a Huntsman that I bought new in 1972 for $75. Most accurate .22 I've ever owned. I used to shoot at dimes stuck into the bark of an oak tree and had no problem hitting them. Love that gun!
I have a challenger that was passed from my grandfather to my father to me. I got in in 2005 when my dad passed and I just turned 60. It's either nickel or chrome plated not sure which and has faux plastic stag grips. It's priceless to me and accurate as hell. If you miss with this gun it's because "YOU" missed. Not the gun :) It's always a blast to shoot and my granddaughter will have it one day. But, not yet...cuz I'm not done with it. Enjoyed the vid and subscribed just now. Thanks !!
Very timely and informative video. I have my dad's 1952 Challenger that I got after his passing and I just pulled it out of the leather holster yesterday to decide what to do with it. I am going to take it to a local and respected shop/range for a thorough cleaning and inspection then have fun plinking with it. Thanks.
They are fun little guns and thank you
@@TheGunSnob I have owned several woodsmans and currently own a Targetsman and a Huntsman. They are all excellent pistols. The best .22 handguns in my opinion! I'm sure there are others like the smith and wesson 41 or a high standard that might be more accurate but I am confident the woodsman series are all more accurate than I can get out of them anyway. They feel like you are shooting a work of art.
My Dad bought his childhood dream pistol , the 2nd Sports model Woodsman Pistols in 1946 , from his first salary.
He only fired a magazine full then stored it... Till l got it upon his passing at age 87.
I fired More than 300 rounds in it at one session..not a single malfunction using a variety of
.22 ammos..some even from the 1946 vintage.
I saw the original receipt of the woodsman's price..about $60, a very stiff Price then .
Watch out for that slide, it'll slice your hand up pretty good
Nice colt! I have an old colt huntsman just like that little longer barrel it’s the cheaper woodsman.
That’s a super cool little 22lr! I love my MarkIV! Such a blast to shoot 👍
Thanks
Classic
Me trae buenos recuerdo, yo tenia una igual, la Colt Woodsman una excelente arma.
Honestly didn't even know these existed until you talked about it. Cool guns.
Thanks
What's up gun snob I enjoy the show tonight. so I went ahead and subscribe to your channel a few minutes ago thank you.
Thanks man
Would the serial number on my Challenger indicate what year it was made?
What would be a decent asking price?
John Moses who?
He was the guy who walked from Egypt to Israel but took him 40 years. I think he got lost somewhere after crossing the Red Sea on foot.
I guess I’ll 👍
Gee thanks buddy
Do you know where to buy spare mags?
I have no idea where to find them.
@@TheGunSnob Triple K makes mags that will fit, they're the "Late Model" Woodsman mags. They might need a little "tuning" to work well. I've got a bunch of different mags for my 1st Series Woodsman, but only one so far for the Challenger. EBay is a good place to check (expect to pay a bundle for original mags,) right now they've got Challenger mags for $27.50 ea. For other parts, check Numrich.
