    I feel better on the "not thinking, intuitive diet". Just walk through the fresh food markets, sniff out what looks or smells appetising. Paying attention to salivary gland secretion, colours, freshness and buy whatever the hell it is (which is usually) meat, cheese, yoghurt, honey, fruit, eggs, butter, certain pickled/fresh vegetables/herbs and on rare occasion, nuts. (usually in that order) "for me". I always keep a few different bags of grain in the pantry but don't gravitate to them often and find grains appeal more in the colder winter months.

    One element not many people look at is the way our hormonal fluctuations affect insulin sensitivity. For women, it's pretty pronounced during our monthly cycle but for men, testosterone levels go up and down throughout the month as well. When T is higher, insulin sensitivity is high, and when it dips, IR becomes more likely. Just throwing that out there because it was definitely a major missing piece of the puzzle for me.

    • @Luke_MoonWalker
      @Luke_MoonWalker Před 9 měsíci

      Follow the cycles of the moon and know when the moon is in your birth sign every month. That's what effect T cycles in men in my opinion.

    • @Luke_MoonWalker
      @Luke_MoonWalker Před 9 měsíci

      @@Kinesiology411 You're probably right as far as T level fluxuation. Supposedly, your brain releases a healthy dose of "sacred oil" (milk and honey) as a "seed" for 2-3 days around the time of month that the moon is in your birth sign. This oil travels down the spine to your "sacred region" (pelvic floor) and back up to your brain where it gets converted in to what's called golden melatonin, which causes a new level of enlightenment and allows your brain and body to function optimally. In order for this process to occur properly, you have to abstain from sexual release for about 72 hours around that time every month. I track when the moon is in Pisces, which is my birth sign, every month and I've certainly noticed that people are more drawn to me around that time. VVomen definitely seem to find me more attractive. This physiological process is where the myth of Santa Claus comes from. It's also closely tied to the story of Jesus Christ. This oil is initially released from the medulla and travels through the CLAUStrum in your brain, bearing gifts, down the "chimney" (your spine) then back up the chimney in to the cerebellum. This oil is then "dead" for 3 days before it is released as golden melatonin throughout the brain and body. You can then experience the "land of milk and honey" aka Heaven. During that 3 day period, your brain is actually refining the oil and making it 1000 times more potent. There are 33 vertebrae in the spine and 33 years in Christ's life. Christ was dead for 3 days before being resurrected. The greek term Christos means annoited one or annoited oil. In my opinion, the story of Christ and the myth of Santa Claus are stories about this physiological process in the body that brings humans in to enlightenment aka Heaven on Earth. It's very interesting that these two stories overlap on Christmas day, which is about Christ and Santa Claus. Read about it man. It will blow your mind.

    It's not just protein that is satiating, it's animal protein, specifically. Plants don't contain complete proteins. Only animals contain complete amino acid chains that are in a form that is readily available to your cells (assuming that they weren't denatured from overcooking)

    • @Insp.CountMortisWinshipKlaw

      This is a myth that plant proteins are not complete. if we eat a variety of plant foods in our diet, the overall mix of amino acids isn’t substantially different from what we would get from eating animal protein. I have been raw fruit for 5 years, no high protein foods. I take 15g of alfalfa powder once a day. I lift heavy weights twice a week. I have no issue building muscle.

    I think, like always, it is the correct balance, which is also dependent on the current state of the individual and some other factors. Fibers are important for absorbing toxins that are within the bile the liver produces. If you don't have enough fibers to bind to that toxins in the bile, they probably will get reabsorbed. This is also a common problem loads of people have on carnivore, where they eat loads of fat and protein, but no fiber. Your body needs to produce loads of bile to digest the fats, which isn't bad, but if your highly intoxicated and your bile is full of toxins, your gut will sense that and flush out everything ( i had this so extreme ...) It was similar like you said, when you had liquid fats, that it was just shooting out the other end almost immediately. I loved my butter coffee in the morning, but i am reactive to coffee anyway and with the liquid fat in it it was just an explosion, sometimes in two sessions ... and for food it was always at least 3 times within one hour after the meals. It got so bad, i lost all happiness about eating food and at some point even just scrambled eggs caused it. At that point i knew this is not going to be better, just worse. What helped me was fermented grain enzymes and the water from that, don't know if this exists in Canada, in Germany it is called "Brottrunk" which means drink from bread. It is the water, where grains soaked and were fermented by some bacteria which are good for the gut.
    So if someone has a lot of flushing, reduce the LIQUID fat and increase the fiber and also add healthy fermented stuff and/or probiotics from a good source. This is anyway a point of confusion to me. Gut health is one of the most important keys to be healthy but how do gut bacteria live on fat and protein alone when they don't have any fiber. How does that work for some people? But maybe no gut bacteria is better than too many bad ones. 🤣

    • @carl8568
      @carl8568 Před 9 měsíci +1

      Yes, this is something important I don't hear talked about much- the detoxification capacity of fibre via being bound up in bile.
      I think histamine intolerance can present a big problem for people if they ingest fermented foods, this is where supplemental probiotics would be necessary. I've been consuming organic sauerkraut/kimchi and home made organic milk kefir daily for years now without any obvious benefits. I only had a naturopath suggest to take a break from them recently due to potential histamine issues I may be dealing with.

      Yeah, I suppose that is a good test. Canned fish is super high in histamines. I work on a farm and have been getting extremely bad allergies recently as it's the end of Spring here in Australia so the grass has gone crazy with heavy rain and strong sun. However, before I had a toxic mould exposure prior to last year I didn't really have a problem with hayfever. I had allergies many years ago but when I cut down on alcohol and started juice fasting, water fasting and doing colonics over about a year it really cleared up.
      Early last year I was literally earning a living doing yard maintenance- mowing and what not in the middle of summer without any real issues. The mould exposure I had in a rental property screwed me over pretty hard. I'm a year out of the mould now and still recovering. I am hoping to get back in to water fasting when I have the time spare, I have faith that fasting is one of the most powerful things you can do to heal.

I adda s much fat as I desire. I would think the body has feedback mechanisms to tell you if you're overdoing the protein if you pay attention. Typical carnivore analysis:
    VPolice's years of eating high-carb vegan has made him what Dr. Omara would call "T.O.F.I." - thin outside, fat inside. Vegans typically build up tons of visceral fat, even while having low amounts of subcutaneous fat (making them look thin on the outside). This visceral fat plays havoc with normalizing blood-sugar levels, among all sorts of other issues...

    no two guts are the same how much protein you need is dependent on how good your gut is at digesting it, to get the nutrients and amino acids out of it. If the gut is impaired by sickness, age, or whatever the person will need a higher level in order to digest sufficient amounts. People who can do super high fat are people whose gut is excellent at digesting the protein so they don't have to intake as much. Never compare your ratio to anyone else, go with the flow of your body. Also, there can be periods of intense healing where the body needs more building blocks so you will gravitate to more protein during those times, as well as people who are in high muscle-building periods. We have to come to trust what our body tells us. Of course if you are a sugar addict it will take a while to be able to trust your body asking for sweets LOL ignore that LOL

    Fun fact, the word Protein, literally means "Prime Importance." I would suggest prioritizing protein up to 3g/kg at the highest limit. After that, your secondary concern should be micronutrients, Minerals & Vitamins. Then, and only then should you concern yourself with Fats & or Carbs.
    Supply your body with building blocks first, then worry about energy needs. Because, natural food already comes with energy packed into it & you'll probably hit your energy needs without even thinking about it.

    Most of us are just as confused as you are when it comes macro nutrients how much protein and fat we should consume. As we age our bodies change so we may need more of certain essential amino acids. We also assume our bodies are extracting all the vital nutrients we consume but this isn't always the case so what we eat is not being assimilated. It's very easy to become deficient even with a balanced diet so when you limit certain food groups you run the risk of becoming even more deficient especially in older adults. This is where proper food combing comes in as well. A lot of this dependent on our gut health and the micro BIOHM. Too much or to little of certain bacteria can make it very difficult to extract these nutrients. When you heal the gut you heal the body.
