I _pray_ she returns, as well as Greninja. I'll give like literally anything for some new interactions between the two and another battle with Ash-Greninja (preferably against Alan so my eternal salt from Ash's Kalos League defeat can be satiated)
The only reason I don't want her to return is because I'm worried Journeys will do it dirty.

I absolutely love Serena more than any character in existence and I definitely think she'll return for sure , its alright if there's nothing related to amourshipping even though I would love it if there's some ship related things but I atleast want to see her again and she definitely deserves to return along with Clemont and Bonnie
I agree that I would love to see her return, but at the same time, it might things a little weird because of the last scene of her (you should know what I’m talking about). If they do bring her back, the best thing the writers could do is just act as if it never happened.

Yeahh. It seams that way. Especially even in the leaks, its talked about how MAY may return, dawn is coming in episode 89 and 90 and then last but definitely not the least serena!
While I would like to see her return, however, her return must have a very strong purpose and must be very special. Her return can’t be half-baked and underwhelming like Dawn’s return.

Serena is one of my favorite traveling companions. I really hope she does return, but in a unique way alongside May and Greninja.
In my opinion, I want to see the writing team do two things they can do with Serena now we know she has gone through a lot in the XY era, as well as a huge truckload of character development to go with:
1. Make a dynamic story with her and May.
2. Meet Ash's mother, as well as Ash's other friends and other Pokémon. Those include Goh, Misty, Brock, Gary, May (as I said earlier), Lillie, Dawn, Max, Tracey, etc.

What if serena returns but she doesn't meet up with ash, instead have her own side story with either those situations that you just suggested. Although it would be cute seeing both ash and Serena's reactions to each other given their last goodbye, especially an awkward goodbye again since they left each other to achieve their goals but neither of them have reached that yet, so they'll probably leave each other again by the end of that episode. Would probably confirm finally if ash really was oblivious to what Serena's kiss meant. But I also think Serena was a big enough character to warrant a solo catch up episode with her journey so far.

Serena will always be my #1 favorite PokeGirl and one of my favorite traveling companions. We haven't seen her, Clemont, and Bonnie since the ending to the "XY/XY&Z" series. I would absolutely love to see Ash reunite with his Kalos friends in some sort of arc that might or might not include the return of his Greninja as well. However, if these characters return in separate ways, then I really hope that Serena's return will be very satisfying and give us some idea about her progress as a Pokemon Performer.
Serena will definitely return in Pokemon journeys, their are too many pokefans , the co-ordination of Serena and ash is also to good and most of the pokefans are watching Pokemon journeys because of Serena and they want Serena to return in Pokemon master journeys or upcoming seasons of pokemon

Honestly, I more hope that she returns with her performance rather than Amourshipping.
Sure I am an Amourshipper too, but that's like 20% of Serena.
She herself is a very good Character and yes, I somewhat agree that the episode where she decided to impose Ash in his clothes was somewhat weird and creepy, but well I assume it was for Fanservice, like any other Anime, there is always some drop of Fanservice and there's nothing wrong with that.
But also I might add, that the execution matters for me the most. If she gets thrown in for one or two episodes I would be hella mad, since her personality can be expanded much more, like what did she archive? What's her next goal? Does she still want to pursue a career in Performing?
There is so much room, it would be sad to throw that away.
But sure I also don't deny some Amourshipping, I mean it was a part of XY, although I don't get my hopes up since well, uh, it's a show made for kids where they're 10 y/o... (why?)
However, we have to wait and see what's coming.
Yeah I get why some may think her wearing Ash's clothes is creepy but as u said fan service isn't bad if it's enjoyable but other than that there was a clear reason why she did it and she clearly had no other choice and also she did it with good intention only so that Ash gets well , and yes Serena's character is much MUCH more than amourshipping , the ship is just a small part of sweet entertainment and a small part of her character , she is an amazing character and one of if not the best characters in Pokémon , overall I'd say a bit of amourshipping and mainly her development and progress is what I want to see , its understandable if there isn't any shipping moments but atleast she deserves some focus as of what happened with her and what progress she made while we didn't see her
Big time Amourshipper here, and I have nothing against you (or anyone) having no interest in the shipping; it's always good to see different views on this sort of thing that aren't filled with spite. I'm one of those guys who would love to see Serena again, even for a little while; and hope to see more amourshipping scenes. XD
However it is far more important to Serena has progressed as a character and/or see her continue progress while she's being shown and not just the romance; we came to love having her around for who she is as character first (but not gonna lie, amourshipping had a huge role in her popularity). Here's hoping for her return, and hoping she brings some interesting dynamics to Ash and Journeys as a whole! ^w^
As long as its better than Dawn's return, she needs to do something instead of just being there like Dawn was.

Serena as a character has.....definitely wained on me. I still like her, yes, but she's not exactly in my top 3 favourite comanions anymore. It took a bit long for her to really do anything significant until Performances were brought up, Amourshipping (and Pokemon shipping in general but especiallly this one) looking back wasn't something I'm exactly proud of remembering and yeah the whole "wearing Ash's clothes and pretending to be him while he's unconcious" thing was a few steps too far to be excused by the crush. Still, I do like her character and would like to see what she's been up to. Just keep Amourshipping to a minimum and we're good.

Yeah. Plus a little bit of jealousy is fine and healthy. But Serena pretty much blew a lid and got disproportionately jealous whenever Ash even interacted with another female. He's allowed to have female friends. She just takes her crush way too far sometimes in my opinion.

@@rirururu4697 the only person who she was jealous of was Miette but that was because she was flirting with Ash and teasing Serena at the same time. But none of the times she ever tried to stop Ash or intercept his meetings. You also remember Korrina? Remember Shauna? Remember (insert all female characters of XY)? The sylveon trainer (or the nursery teacher) who battled with Ash was also kinds flirting with him but at that time Serena was nervous and shy, and not exactly jealous.
How is it that she blew the lid off? While Misty at the same time even became angry
Just leave out the crush non-sense and highlight her growth as a trainer and person.

I do want Serena to return, just because we haven't seen what's happened to her in all the years she's been gone (almost 6 years now which is crazy lol.) I personally think she might return near the end of Pokemon Journeys, since her return was, and still is, pretty hyped up by the fandom- particularly amourshippers who haven't decided that SatoGou is better. I honestly just want to see where she's at, if she's made any progress...amourshipping can come later. I grew up with Serena and Misty, and I really hope the former returns.

I think that if she returns the anime is going to build her up. Like first having her face seen in a flashback in one episode, and then having her name dropped on another, then at the end of one episode we actually see her. Also I think that when she returns the episode will focus on Chloe/Koharu like when Dawn returned.
Either that or she will return when Ash is at a new low point, and be the one to inspire him to keep on pushing like she would do in Kalos.
As much as I want her to return I hope they do it for a purpose by giving her a good story, and not just bringing her back for fan service.

the more I watch a certain series over and over, the more I start to notice the flaws it has (that's just me, I don't know about others)
I was never really a fan of serena but most serena fans out there aren't really fans of serena, they are just fans of amourshipping

I feel like a lot of the xy and xyz characters aren't really famous for who they are, but for the season they were introduced in. The fact that the art style and animation was so good makes them more popular (Even though, I personally prefer the journeys art style)
Dude amourshippers are Serena fans too , shipping works because of the characters themselves , literally every amourshipper which I have seen is a Serena fan , that goes for other ships too

Serena is popular alright, but one of the things which made her so popular is the "thing" she did to ash at the airport. Shippings play a major part in making a character is famous
Look at the frontier brains lucy and brock for example, lucy is remembered for her crush on brock and anabel is remembered for her crush on ash

I'm a huge fan of Serena. I love her character arc, and you can really tell how much stronger she gets over the series. It's also a nice change of pace to see a sweet, caring person still be their own strong developing character - usually those characters are kind and nothing else. My only issue is that if they bring her back, they would either have to address the kiss, or act like it never happened, and I don't think either options really work for the series

It would be great to see Serena return to the Series again and hopefully with her Braixen finally evolved into Delphox off screen as well as see her full six Pokemon team beside her Panchum and Sylveon. Perhap if Chloe met Serena she'll learn more about Pokémon Performer in the Kalos Region just as she learn from Dawn about Pokémon Cordinators in Sinnoh as well as Hoenn, Johto and Kanto Region. I bet Chloe will also learn that Serena used to travel with Ash during the Kalos journey and maybe Chloe will also learn that Serena had a biy crush on Ash too.
I hope clemont and bonnie return aswell as may at some point! Also we need to see max grown up with his ralts to battle ash
Honestly, 95% of what happened in Kalos doesn't feel cannon any more. Other than the one time return of Korrina and Ash visiting some Kalos mons in the lab, basically no events from Kalos have been referenced. So I doubt that anyone from Kalos will be coming back any time soon.
If we're bring pass characters back, how about previous rivals of Ash's like Sawyer or Ritchie? I kind of want to see that witch woman again from Journeys, seeing Ash become a Pokemon again.

It will be interesting. Amourshippers are certainly the largest group of ships including as, but all other ships are very popular too. Pokémon knows they can’t make everyone happy, and they’ll have backlash by angry fans, which could be a reason they have probably been putting it off.

Her character and development doesn't have that much influence on Ash's or Goh's. Maybe they would bring her back to develop Chloe, they did kind of had somewhat a similar situation - hopefully Chloe doesn't become a coordinator/peformer.

I like to imagine that Serena got an absol since if she was the rival she had one in X andY and it is also a Hoenn Pokémon.
Tbh I imagine Serena winning multiple Pokemon Contests and then going back to Kalos and getting to the Master Classes for the Pokemon Show Case and finally beating Ariana and that she became famous after becoming Kalos Queen and went to Hoenn again for a pokemon contest for her to judge along with other judges including Palermo who is looking for a new idol to train under just like she did we Serena and Ariana and thats when Goh and Ash bring that red hair chick along with them to go to the pokemon contest since her dad recomended to try it out since Ash and Goh were already going for the Pokemon Championship Battles so when they their they sign up they all go there separate ways until Ash mentions that it wouldn't be his first time attending to these sort of things and has flashbacks of all the people he has traveled with but has a main flashback of Serena since she didn't gave up and kept trying and trying even though she didn't win as Kalos Queen at first try but has the flashback of the kiss until he sees her with Palermo when they were coming back from model shoots when Serena had the same bow that ash gave to her but with a key stone she also sees him and their eyes lock together but Palermo tells Serena that their gonna be late for the makeup so they can get ready for the judging of the pokemon contest so Ash goes on silently while goh and him go and find more pokemon and more battles

This video was the definition of a clickbait but I will just share my views.
Serena will definitely return but I don't think Amourshipping moments will be present in more numbers.
She if ever meets up with Ash, will only stay with him once she has achieved her dream. She probably will be with Palermo as she promised that she will return back to her once her journey is over. But in the end she will finally be with Ash (as she said) but that won't happen unless she gets through being a more mature woman and a more experienced person.
Also I have always been indifferent to Serena wearing Ash's clothes. It was funny to me , even now, I consider it as one of the best slice of life episodes. It showed how Serena isn't just Cheering on Ash in gym battles but also learning valuable strategies at the same time (Clemont and Sawyer were the same too). It certainly might be creepy to some people as I have seen. But I don't think it's as creepy as Ash becoming Ashley lol. I am fine with the episode since it had reasons for Serena to actually wear Ash's clothes

Serena is very famous but its because of how many people like her and how many people hate her. She was the top pokegirl for a long time , even now. So the hate is supposed to come.
I understood that the Pokemon community is pretty stupid when I saw them comparing Serena with almost all the other pokegirls and finding out more "flaw-like" stuffs to compare it with the better parts of the latter character.

But, I'd prefer it if the Amourshipping was toned down a bit. Considering the fact that they're all 10 year olds. Had they been 16 - 18 , sure. But the show has made itself known as Ash's journey to become one of their world's best.
I don't think romance should have any room at Ash's current stage. Let him age up 7 to 8 more years, and maybe he can consider that route.

I think ash having a proper love interest is great for character growth and i feel if they try do that with any characters other than serena people would get kinda pissed
Ash doesn't need a love interest in order for his character to grow comone he still 10 also his a dense kid

That may be true but I dont see many amourshippers being that crazy nowadays but sadly the rest of the community still generalizes most amourshippers as toxic
