Speed 99 Finishing 99 First touch 99 Those prime Owen years, he was like a cheat video game character on the field. If he stayed at Liverpool he could still deliver at this rate for another 3-4 years.
You forgot to add reaction 99. See how quickly he reacts to loose balls in thr box, like a cat. He should never have joined Madrid . It slowed him down immensely
LFC Fan - Don't care what he transferred too, Man utd, wreal madrid whatever. this man Michael Owen was in his prime for Liverpool and he was just a goal machine, literally nearly every match, it was goal after goal after goal.
One of the all time great finishers. He’s right up there. His injuries and decision to join Utd shouldn’t detract from just how good he was in his pomp.
@@bryanleeyf87 His stats from 1997 -2004 are seriously impressive if you do some digging. Two time Golden Boot winner by the age of 19 years-old. Nobody has achieved this before. Won the Ballon D’Or. Henry, Keane, Beckham, Gerrard, Scholes, Vieria, Lampard, Rooney… the list goes on. None of these players ever won one and yet all are widely considered Premier League all time greats.
What a footballer I can’t help but feel at the time Liverpool needed him to play all the time where in hindsight he should of played rested a game or too played. Top Many games before the age of 22 won’t have helped. But hey he had a great career and that’s what it’s about and I’m an Everton fan.
left foot right foot, headers, long range shots, tap ins, penalties, free kicks 1 on1s .... for couple of years at liverpool he was as good as ANYONE yep that includes ALL the brazilians, greaves, gerd muller
Prime Owen was unbelievable. World class. Injuries killed the latter stages of his career & prevented him being England's greatest ever goal scorer.
Your not a Newcastle fan he was shit for you. Also proper over rated
@@matthewdoyle3877 prime Owen I said. Owen at Newcastle was very injury prone. But still averaged a goal every other game.

Yeah, I was shocked to see he never scored more than 18 in the League in a season, yet he won two Golden Boots by the age of 19.
What a player!
Bit of a twat though 🤣

He is and will always be. Back then, if kids didn't want to be Ronaldo, they'd want to be Owen.

This guy was really good
Owen is a striker that he rarely being pushed down by other defenders maybe his CG is so low.
Some of these commentaries sound like they are made in someones room.

Mr. Side Net
Simply great, what a player !!! He committed enormous bullshit leaving Liverpool to go to Real Madrid.
very similar to coutinho
I don't know what convinced him that he would play ahead of r9 and Raul
