BRITISH PATHÉ'S STORY

Over the course of a century, it documented everything from major armed conflicts and seismic political crises to the curious hobbies and eccentric lives of ordinary people. If it happened, British Pathé filmed it.

No one being vitriolic on social media.
No nutcases and cranks having a platform to communicate with other nutcases and cranks through social media.
People having a sound perspective on life.
@@ArchieFatcackie Just people being vitriolic and cruel in person. No escape to online friends, no connection to the outside world, just whatever dot on the map you were stuck in.
The first, left-handed batsman in a mustache is the Australian cricket captain, Joe Darling. The second batsman is Monty Noble. The batsman is Victor Trumper. The last, left-handed batsman is Clem Hill.
Dilhan777 how do u know?!?!?!
Tibby cotter also in the footage
How do you know?
Well i could make out Joe Darling, Trumper and Hill from the clip but i couldnt see any 4th batsman, so how did you figure out Noble

It's like a very traditional festival.
hahaa, good to see the old footage of Cricket. I wish they would be back to see how things Changed after 100 years later.
Love it..Who says we don't have much history
This whole footage is a collection of video shoots done during the 1905 Aus's Ashes tour and not necessarily from a single test match. Aus lost 0-2 to a very strong Eng side. Some of the shoots were only done for motion picture entertainment as was common then. No live cameras then.
Legand watch after 11 years ago this match
Filmed at Lord's in and around the practice ground.
Days were simple and happy compared to today's life
World war 1 would happen after 9 years of this match.
Everyone in this clip is dead right now, including children.
Imran Sahir may be you too
Imran Sahir omg that’s sad
It's just awesome
the footage is very good
Fascinating
Old is gold
I saw Author Shelby batting.
Good Footage but it would have been nice to see the likes of Fred Spoofhorth, Clem Hill, Bobby Peel , George Lohmann, Victor Trumper and Jim Thorpe feature as well.
Are you having a laugh or just thick ?
@@jahno7154 What makes you say that ?
Well Clem Hill and Trumper are there.

The way those batsmen are holding bats it seems more like local gully cricket.

You will need to go back to 1877 to record it
@@mansimishra9073 czcams.com/video/ro5X_wZLA68/video.html
It wasn't recorded bro
My wife who probably picked up the bat first time had a better stance than that😂
watching in 2023😢
All the players were above 50😮.....even in 1905
How is that even recorded
oh this game older than titanic ship 😝
I wonder the people in those times had such robotic movements or it was just an issue with camera/video quality and frames?
Watch in 0.75x. The video is sped up, most likely to achieve 30fps.
Look at bat's width
I like the guy giving the V sign at 26 seconds in.
Batsmen in those days had terrible footwork.
The game was still forming, really. It was probably cutting edge for the day.
@@utha2665Absolutely correct

I thought cricket was invented by Indian
No
This is fake......, before 1930 there were only 2 stumps
farooq Ahmad who told you idiot?
The 3rd stump was introduced in 1775
womens cricket looks more professional than this...how things have changed.
In comments Indians and Pakistani behave like, they invented cricket
Not me
@@NikhilPanchal-ct3cv you might not do it but majority of indian and pakistani do it and they come to unrelated videos and argue with each other thinking they are inventors of cricket
