    • @zeizaze5159
      @zeizaze5159 Před 6 lety

      All the power, footwork, movement and defense comes from the legs, even if you're hand is injured you can still make use of all the other tools, but when it's you're Achilles, you're fucked no matter how good you are unless you you're enough to take a guy out. That injury being healed will make a world of difference imo as long as its not his legs getting injured it will be a different fight if it lasts to the second half.

    A win is win. No excuses. Haye got his injury IN the fight and without the adequate footwear, gassed etc. Bellew won fair and square. You have to take advantage of any situation of a fight. Bellew did that. I knew the ending would be all respect. Great promo and fight well done to all those involved.

    He took Haye's shots all night. They were both starting to gas a bit so who knows what would've happened had David not hurt his leg. All I know is, Tony "Bomber" Bellew got in there with a massive puncher, took his shots, stuck it out and when the opportunity to win presented itself one way or another, he took it!

Even the knock down was fake. bellew skimmed the top of hayes head and yet he decided to fall opposite direction out of the ring and strangly his corner threw the towel in at round 11

    If haye didn't get that injury bellew would of got finished he was spent .he did not knock haye down or out he couldn't support he's weight simple as haye was actually growing into the fight bit sloppy but he was learning bellew couldn't cope with the extra weight no injury believe haye would of won

    • @liverpoololdschool
      @liverpoololdschool Před 7 lety +1

      Lol and haye wasnt spent?_._.He was gassed out thats why he was falling he had zero energy, all you bitter internet warriors make me laugh its pathetic, give him credit for stepping in that ring because bellew didnt need this fight, he could easily have taken a gimme so respect a fighter who dodges nobody.

    • @markward6356
      @markward6356 Před 7 lety

      Not taking anything from bellew but everyone's making it sound like he went in there and destroyed haye which is absolute rubbish haye lost the fight bellew didn't win it

    • @liverpoololdschool
      @liverpoololdschool Před 7 lety +1

      Mats please haye is at his weight and was blowing after round 2, he doesnt want to train hard anymore and its showed not only here but the 2 gimmes before this fight. No matter what you say his corner threw the towel in and he was behind on points, give bellew some due, he came up in weight which showed, he fought in hays backyard when he is the champion, bellew has always given people a rematch and this will happen again with haye. But the thing is haye as a natural heavy had 4 rounds and couldnt do the job, he has admitted as much.

    We learned 2 things that night: 1) Hayemaker v2.0 is not better than his younger self, and his body is past it; 2) Bellew is not a world class fighter, if he can't decisively finish a one-legged man, so should ignore any attempt at the HW title.

  • @angelameynell7970
    @angelameynell7970 Před 6 lety

    FairPlay to Haye. soon as his Ankle went I expected him to just throw it in and do a rematch but to see him go on was impressive, showed heart. Tony showed he could not really hurt a one legged haye who was just stood in front of him, if Haye comes in fit ( massive IF ) I expect him to wrap it up quickly this time.

    A lot of people seem to think that fighting with an injury is something new in boxing, when in reality it's very common ( quigg v frampton broken jaw, wilder won by ok with a broken hand, Arthur Abraham won with a broken jaw, joe calzaghe fought most of his career with broken hands ) it's part of the sport . So I disagree with the what ifs

    • @paksallion
      @paksallion Před 7 lety

      Khalifa Al-Ali man could barely stand. you could clearly see just before the injury he was a hero. straight after the injury he went downhill.
      the injury caused his loss

    • @paksallion
      @paksallion Před 7 lety

      wilder faught 1 round with his injury. fighting with a broken jaw doesnt throw off your balance and you can still fight exactly the same. hayes a power puncher. without his legs his useless by looks of it

    • @khalifaal-ali9064
      @khalifaal-ali9064 Před 7 lety

      +paksallion I understand where you are coming from, but I do think bellew won fair even if there was an injury. Corner men and even commentators actively encourage fighters to target wounds such as cuts, or areas where a boxer has had surgery previously . Cuts caused by accidental head clashes cause fighters to loose ( depending on how many rounds boxed ) even if they are better than the opponent it's just part of the sport

    • @paksallion
      @paksallion Před 7 lety

      Khalifa Al-Ali they do encourage it and i appreciate thats the game ( for facial injuries and body shots) but its not a surface wound remember. he wasnt actually able bodied like bellew was. and bellew as a boxer couldnt damage his leg as its above thr waist shots only so that concept flys out the window

    Tony was on the back looking very passive in motion. David Haye was so much more patient than I thought he'd be but was comfortable ahead. The fight change the moment he got injured. What would have happened the 2nd half of the fight no one knows but for sure Tony would have had to become offensive to change the corse of the fight. That's a fact.

      Finally someone talking sense, i fully agree haye ten years ago probably would have won, anyone who knows boxing could see by hayes behaviour he was nervous and knew it wasnt going to be easy. Bellews trainer trained haye, lets be happy both ended the fight safely.

      No we are not about to play this "injury" or "no injury" game.. NO its "injury the opponent still struggle and was losing on the score board" and "no injury" HE WOULD HAVE FUCKING SLAUGHTERS HIM!.

    everyone saying tony couldn't knock out an impeded Haye forget Haye was supposed to destroy him. He had 5.5 rounds before the injury to 'destroy him' and he never looked close to doing it. Give Bellew credit.

  • @jezatkinson7243
    @jezatkinson7243 Před 7 lety

    Tony doesn't need to play to the gallery anymore. He can be himself, as in this press conferance, and get top dollar. By being true to himself he can carve a niche in the general public's conscience, not just the boxing public. Just like Joshua. Ultimately that's worth more.

    • @jezatkinson7243
      @jezatkinson7243 Před 7 lety

      It's true Joshua was a bit of an idiot in his teens. But he's been bright enough to learn and doesn't trash talk. Trash talk only appeals to a very limited proportion of the public. There's no merit in remaining an idiot just because you can.

    As if people are saying Haye would have won this without the injury. Did we see the same fight? Haye was slow as fuck, completely judged his distances incorrectly, swung wildy and had no composure about him whatsoever. He hardly utilised the jab, he was gassed by the 5th RND and kept being countered by the jab as he was walking forward. Haye put on an absolute SHIT SHOW regardless of the injury. Bellew was and is the better boxer now. Haye either didn't train or his age is catching up to him. You can only blame an ankle injury for so much.

    Well, that Haye 2.0 fella was pretty terrible. The unveiling of Haye 2.0 was an Anti Climax, couldn't even knock out a Cruiser weight. Haye embarrassed himself.

    l just wish that people understand that the promoters/boxers are taught to sell a fight to capture the publics imagination. Loot at how Haye never mentioned his injury and was full of praise for Bellew and wanted a rematch. Why? Because it is all about conning the public into another fight to make even more money.

      Chris Jericho I don't even like haye. I thought he would and should have managed to knock him out early. but haye was not even setting up his shots, throwing wildly. but after that first round he got better and was beginning to control the fight. Yeah bellew took his punches. but boxers can absorb them in the early rounds. had it not been for the injury, when bellew tired he would have been flat on his face. lucky that haye got injured. simple as that.

You rupture your Achilles, you cannot even stand"........Well guess what Mr Hearn he did rupture his Achilles. Just goes to show how hollow Bellew's victory really is because as you said "You rupture your Achilles, you cannot even stand" and Bellew could barely put away a man who according to you shouldn't be able to stand.

    tell me if I'm talking shit, but I think the min haye took Tony's left hook in the first Hayes game plan changed as they said he didn't expect him to have as much power, so I think haye had to stand off more alot more than he wanted, therefore he was over reaching witch mean his ankle (already a worry) was under pressure 10x more that it was meant to be. haye felt it go and looked for the KO but didn't find it.
