Video games have gotten so realistic that there’s not enough room for improvement. I mean when I look at this, it doesn’t justify buying a ps5. I remember when I went from a ps1 to a ps2 the difference was absolutely CRAZY!
Video games can look even better than this and they already do. Its just too expensive to sell systems that can take those kinds of graphics. The technology already exists but it's not affordable

Ever play games at 60 fps or higher? After running performance mode on my ps5 games, it's extremely difficult to go back and play old stuff with the stutter.

Guys, the PS4 PRO has some color configurations applied I think because default GT7 colors don't look that vibrant by default. You can change some color settings in configurations like contrast, saturation, brughtness etc. to make it look that way, and you can even do that in a normal PS4 so it does look a bit better! And the best part is that you dont lose fps 🗿

Like not saying it looks better or worse it just looks like someone turned the contrast and saturation up and put a slight blue or green tint
The pro looks like it has a bit more contrast, the ps5 has more AA, and the ps4 looks like it has a bit more upscaling happening. I think the PS4 Pro has a bit of a sharper look, this could just be the higher contrast. Hard to really tell with CZcams compression. I do agree though the changes are so small that it doesn't really justify the PS5 for THIS game. That's just my opinion, the biggest difference I see is around 2:15 - 2:30 just look at the text for the Sponsor logo for Bilstein. Great video and showcase

The VR mode in PS5 is now a game changer though.
The ps5 has better shadows, better frame rame (even to it has some drops while playing races with lots of racers like 25 or more) and ultimately, the pe5 has some assets and animations that just go missing on the older gen, turning ray tracing on, makes the game brutaly better thab older gen

@@ChrisE-iy7ok it doesn't look better than the ps5 version. The video just has a more vibrant filter applied (i don't know why) which usually makes people perceive the image as being better. The ps4 pro version is the same version as the base ps4, but at a higher resolution (and maybe with a few other things improved) but overall they're very similar. You can search other videos on CZcams and see that the PS5 is using much better car models while racing, has more vegetation and grass (which is almost absent on PS4), better motion blur implementation and the list can continue.
For some reason the best colors are on PS4 PRO. PS5 has very faded and dim colors.

how do you get the dash board some fast? what setting then you change?
The actually loading time is speedup in video, the exact is timer bottom of each console. Notice the “3x” onscreen when footage is speed up. Also make sure you gota settings in game and turn intro video off so it doesn’t load up every time you boot up the game.
Differences are very slight.
- Different trees and number of trees
- grass is slightly different

The base ps4 has more jaggerd edges, slow texture pop ins, the whole color overall in the ps4 version looks dull/greyish. You need to watch this video on a 4k monitor to see a difference

The PS4 Pro is still an awesome system. They could have easily pushed back the PS5 launch by a couple of years to make it even stronger.
I am left wondering about the set up of each monitor, or is it the same monitor for each console. Minor tweaking of the settings for the monitor on each console (brightness, highlights and contrast adjustments would improve the PS5 as well as the ps4.
As these are probably hdmi captures, I don’t think monitor setup comes in to it.
The contrast in the PS4 Slim is too Low I have the PS4 version and it isn't that low. But minor differences. Even the shadowmaps in reflections during gameplay have the same fps.
It’s crazy that I got a ps4 pro in 2019 for like 300 new with red dead 2. Now they are used for 400. Crazy how bad things have gotten with console availability even with previous gen consoles. You can’t really get anything but for a series x
The PS4 version is very impressive on the Pro. But if you switch both versions on a large 4K screen, not via a CZcams video, the differences are somewhat more noticeable.

That’s because PD are lazy as hell and basically made the whole game for the ps4 then just added a few effects for the ps5 version. They’ve also recycled the tracks and cars from gt sport. They should be bloody scrutinised for it.
The PS4 Pro and Ps5 look sharper than PS4. The load times are better on PS5. But yeah PD is lazy if PS Pro and Ps5 look same.

I really hope that the PS5 gets a patch for a performance setting for graphics so we can get 120 fps at 1440p.
I'd honestly gladly give up 4K resolution (which does look very nice, don't get me wrong), for 120 fps. like Imagine this game at 120 fps, everything would be so smooth, and we know the PS5 has the capability to do it as we can see in many other games. it literally just has to be a patch or an update.
Update: The game finally has 120 fps and seems like people so far are liking it a lot and also seeing the huge benefit of what a higher frame can do you for your lap times.
Not really, the ps5 cannot run true 1440p. You would have to output at 4K and have it be downscaled to 1440p. It really sucks how with thr ps5 you either have to choose 4K or 1080p
@@asianburritoo Hmm odd, because GT Sport on a normal PS4 does run at 1440p 60 fps.
I know it's not the same console, but it's just odd they wouldn't be able to do that again when they already have done it once.
but even then, I'd still go to 1080p to get 120 fps, the experience would be some much better in a completely different way.
@@KarateEmil yes the ps4 is able to run true 1440p but the ps5 hardware itself is limited to outputting either 4K or 1080p output. So if you want to run “1440p” you will have to output it as 4K and have it downscaled to 1440p if you have a monitor allows it. Personally, 1440p really is not much of an upgrade and you would only get 60fps compared to the 120fps at 1080p.

but owning a high end PC myself and having seen how good 120 fps looks in racing games, I'd say it wouldn't be a bad thing to give us the players the ability to choose between the 2 options of resolution and frame rate, like many other PlayStation title.
but other then that, the frame rate is fine, but again, 120 fps would still make it look even better.
honestly, loading from the ps home screen to in game menu in 45 seconds is pretty impressive for a base ps4.

Yes the ps4 pro holds up but there's nothing like racing with the psvr2 on ps5. I've seen games on the ps5 where you couldn't tell the differences between cut scenes. Guardians of the Galaxy for an example

There isn’t Ray tracing during the race. Just the replays. So this is a replay I’m assuming?
The PS5 cannot use ray tracing while racing. So in the side, by side, by side there is no ray tracing for the PS5.
They could've *if Yamauchi decided to use variable resolution, like what Insomniac did with their "performance RT" mode. Unfortunately, Yamauchi is quite adamant about having native 4K running at 60fps which is odd, considering most people notice lighting more easily over resolution. Most people can live with having a picture that's not 4k sharp, if they are seeing real-time lighting whilst enjoying silky-smooth framerate. Personally, I feel that sacrificing resolution in favour of real-time lighting and silky-smooth framerate is a much better compromise than prioritising native 4K above everything else, but that's just me. The other way of looking at it is Yamauchi wants all versions to be close so that people will not hesitate to purchase the PS4 version considering how difficult it is to buy the PS5. So in essence, Yamuchi wants the game to sell big in spite of the shortage of the PS5. And from that perspective, I can't fault him.
I thought the collor difference is because of the image settings, RGB or Yuv Full Collor Range, maybe he forgot too sett it right

I have a ps4 pro myself and I'm not planning on upgrading until there's a ps5 pro or until sony stops supporting the ps4, and that will be a couple more years because they have to support a console they still make

It's actually incredible that in fps comparison ps5 was struggling and it was on like 57 fps for few seconds while ps4's didn't go below 60 even if there is almost no difference it's crazy to me

Agree with comments as for very litle differences between Pro and 5.
In my case, i have PS4 Pro, almost solely to play GT7 and few other sims - at this moment i don't see point to spend money on what esentialy are cosmetic improvements, not really registering with brain i normal day to day use anyway. Perfectly happy with my Ps4 Pro, only if they will confirm FULLY playable GT7 in PSVR2 then and only then I'm all over PS5 in a heart beat. Otherwise there's simply no point...

the amount of power needed for raytracing and 4k is insane compared to not using it. seeing that the ps5 can handle that while also keeping 60fps is very impressive. if you ran that on a ps4 pro youd get probably 20-30fps probably less. Using HDR in 4k is a game changer if you can. im on a 4070ti computer. Kinda crazy the amount of power needed for not much of a visual upgrade these days

I'm actually surprised that there isn't a bigger difference. Yes, the PS5 looks better. However not buy a new console better than the PS4 Pro.

A decent upscaling TV... especially a good Neo Qled or Oled (if you're an idiot 🤣🤣 -- I have BOTH) can make a huge difference.
Play with the motion smoothing... gamma and Sharpness etc., and most games look a lot better than older 1080p LCDs and plasmas.

There wouldn't be much of a difference because this game was built from the group up for PS4. Gran Turismo 7 and Forbidden West are not next-gen games

Both, middle is PS4 version on PS5 (similar to running PS4 Pro) and on the right is PS5 version on PS5.

Ps4 pro and ps5 are pretty much the same in most scenarios, and ps4 pro looks exactly like the ps5 but ps5 has more contrast as in it's darker.

La ps4pro es la que va un pasito mas hacia la calidad de ps5. Pero en las tres consolas es un trabajo envidiable el que hicieron. Un juego de coches, lo importante o una de las importantes es que tengan un framerate ESTABLE. Y si son 60 pues mejor que 30. PS4FAT no se despeina en ningún momento, y mantiene 60 fps como ROCAS, INAMOVIBLES 😁
En Gran turismo siempre los autos van más lento o al menos esa es la sensación que deja 😂

It won't be as much an improvement on PS4 like it is on PS4 Pro since PS4 doesn't use a SATA III interface like PS4 Pro does.

Like the ps4 was lagging in minecraft when I throw a few potions and on 1.17 in cubecraft the same thing when I try to 1v1 someone in the middle of the fight I my screen was just freezing. And the loading screen when you load a world on the ps5 takes 2 seconds and on the ps4 30-60 seconds 😑
