As someone coming from the Kashmiri Hindu community, who still follow much of Vedic Hinduism instead of the postmodern form of Hinduism followed elsewhere in the country, I can totally relate to the existence of shamanistic practices in Hinduism, which were the core of the Vedic religion, but waned away and vanished gradually with the passage of time as Hinduism evolved and localised forms of the religion emerged elsewhere, especially in the Indo-Gangetic plains. It’s solely due to the remote terrain of isolated Himachal valleys like the one shown here due to which such practices have been able to survive till the present century. For instance, the people of Hunza valley in Gilgit-Baltistan still follow some prominent pre-Islamic shamanistic practices, even after being Muslims for more than 500 years. The shaman is held in extremely high regard, though elements of Islam have been fused into the local religion and mythology (ample evidence suggests that it may have been a form of the proto-Vedic religion).

It's not drama ma'am, it's the rich cultural which have been preserved by us only.A gur(Shaman)if is not trained to do drama but it's the divine realisation that they have. But Alas! in the name of modernization we are leaving our Vedic Culture and not understanding it properly because of this Western Education System. I am proud that this Devbhoomi still is following our traditions,culture and that's why there is harmony at these places and among people leaving here.
And talking about psychiatrist.They may try to weigh it through their scientific knowledge but science is yet to know a lot about the creation of God. Sometime it is better to accept some things because ' प्रत्यक्ष को प्रमाण की ज़रूरत नहीं होती'. Rest is your belief and everyone is free to follow those.

Nice video but I would have preferred a person who was more enlightened and opened to have made the video than a person with a 3D perspective to cover such a beautiful topic. She just really did not know how to ask questions. She was coming at the whole documentary with a 3D mind. This documentary could have gone far deeper.
