- Jaws on Maui went crazy on opening day with some unforgettable XL rides. Here is the full session of Kalani Lattanzi, the incredible all around waterman body surfing Jaws. Kalani paddled from the shoreline of Pe'ahi through the currents of huge surf and ended up bodysurfing through one of the best all time bodysurfing sessions the world has seen. This is actually the first time we documented anyone bodysurfing "Jaws". That was truly unforgettable and just one part of the day that blew our minds away. Kalani Lattanzi bodysurfing during an all time session at Pe'ahi was just amazing ! What an unbelievable passionate and dedicated waterman. Stay Tuned for more action coming this winter! You know what I've never seen?
A body surfer do a cut-back. Or a bottom turn. They sure as sh*t get BARRELED though don't they? Oh, and it's impossible to paddle into JAWS. You have to tow-in, even with a surfboard because the wave moves so fast, right?
Hahahaha! This maniac just puts his head down, sticks an arm out, and KICKS into the beast! It's all about his position, timing, and those enourmous BALLS giving him enough flotation to plane into quadruple overhead, mile offshore freight-train barrels....

Keep me posted, This IS next level for sure, I made my hand planes from wood and they worked , you could get speed and lift, only body surfing 3 or 4ft waves, still had fun.

Buddy surfing is not done with a miniature surfboard on your hand rookie
this is NOT bodysurfing. he has a F-N kickboard or handboard. Mark Cunningham and Mike Stewart do not use any type of board.

There’s no way Mark or Mike would make it out on waves this size without a handboard. Yeah they’re guru’s in their own right but even those fish men with their speed can’t beat a wave of this size without some assistance to hold the face and maintain that much speed
