When I first heard this song, I was studying for a test all night, and never fell asleep. I bought this song on my ipod, and played it literally the entire night, till seven in the morning. That day after the test, I went to the best Dave concert I have ever been to.
The ability to be able to play this song in an arena and immediately bring thousands of people out in the stands right next to him in a quiet, soulful intimacy might be Dave Matthews' most powerful gift as an artist - even more than his incredible talent as an instrumentalist and songwriter. I can think of few other performers with that power. What a gem.
Can you imagine being a young Dave Matthews saying, "Self, let's try writing a song for the first time", and this comes out of you? I mean I've been impressed with some of the dumps I've taken, but Dave must have REALLY been impressed with himself!

Wow, his voice is still so very clear and sound just as young as it did when he sang it in the early days.
