If she does, it may be a comfort level from thinking the possibility of being lovers isn't there, so she feels a level of comfort almost like you're a girlfriend. If you can be friends with her without getting attached or making her feel uncomfortable by telling her how you feel I'd say go for being friends as long as you understand you can't put your life on hold for her and continue dating or whatever makes you happy with other people.
