If I ever had to go to the hospital I would want you to be my doctor. You’re always so happy, smiling, and never rude or disrespectful.
Indeed!
Hi Kay! well i hope you don't need to come to the hospital, but it's always great to meet you guys in real life!
Oh gosh me too. I hate going to the hospitals because so many doctors are so rude. They think they know everything and I've had so many experiences where the doctor makes me feel bad about myself. I'd actually be happy going to the doctors if she was my doctor.
Omg ya i know! I’m in the hospital at the moment but ya i 100% agree!!! Siobhan I wish you worked in Ireland 🇮🇪
Yes!!!
This is probably a really random thing to notice, but I love the way you speak. You never use “ummm.” You end one sentence and begin the next. It’s really refreshing to listen to someone who isn’t constantly “ummmm” “uhhh.” Love your videos! 😊
Yea! She puts in a lot of effort, and it shows!
She articulates herself well.
Bad news, just as I was readying your message, I heard at 'ummmh' at 1:02 :-)
She used "Ummm" in the video: 4:33
She used umm at 3:57 too lol but she is very articulate. I think majority of us have a bad habit of saying “umm” during our sentences lol
Dose anyone els think a dr mike colab would be cool love your videos
Teresa Angle-Young Nothing wrong with being a celebrity. He still maintains his status as a well informed and passionate doctor
C River Photography C River photography I had this thiught
C River Photography C River photography yesss!!!
C River Photography C River photography I was thinking her fiancé.
I want one also lol
You have matured a lot as a resident now👌🏾
I can see that doctor come out often than the curious resident
Thanks Dr. Varsha - always great to hear from you!
Violin MD Love you loads Doc😍😘
Such a wise person. I love how she is "growing" and accepting more responsibility. When I was at her stage of training (now more than 50 years ago!) I was told by my senior resident that now, you can wave your hand behind you and there's a supervisor. Next year there really won't be.
my favourite videos are when you're in hospital! super cool to see
It’s amazing to see how many people waits for your new video. So inspiring you are!!
Best part of my Saturday is seeing a new video from you on my feed!!
aw yay!!
Question= How do you continue to eat healthy at the hospital?
Eat the patients food,
@@lugh5210 XD
Such a unique kind soul! Would have loved her for my grams... Fun to learn the different things doctors need to go thru
Hey love your videos. I’m a CCU nurse and I love how you show a realistic perspective of hospital life.
Thank you - glad to hear that! I'll be doing CCU next year so i'm sure you will see some more familiar things :)
You’re such an inspiration, as someone myself who would like to do something along the same lines as you it is so inspiring to see it happening. Your vlogs are always so interesting and you seem such a kind genuine person!
I just love your personality! You never seem tired or sick of the work you do! I agree with the person below my comment that I would want you as my dr. Keep the videos coming!
that means a lot - thank you Sarah!
Thanks for the video. I personally love the chance to learn about the body so any teaching videos you do are particular favourites but you also have a fascinating job and sometimes doctors can come across as kind of scary with their own language and not necessarily with your people skills so demystifying what you do is, I feel, very important and showing that sometimes your doctor isn’t being unpleasant deliberately but is under pressure makes things easier when dealing with a difficult doctor. I do wish all doctors came across as nice as you do though.
I watch all of your videos and I just have to say, you're so well spoken & seem like such a lovely woman! If I ever go to the hospital I'd love to have a doctor like you, you seem like you take your job very seriously and I can respect that.
I love your channel it’s awesome I actually live in Hamilton I came across your channel when my nana was passing away in the hospital at the general. I actually learned so much from your channel on what they were doing for her so thank you for that !
Can’t believe 3rd year is around the corner!! Always love all the content you put out Siobhan!!
Stopped watching a different video to click on this one.
Even me ☺
Aw thanks you guys!
Thank you so much for posting the videos you do, knowing that you work in the same city I live is refreshing to know! You are so compassionate with the work you do and it shows. Please continue!!
What a small world! Great to hear Chelsey!
Love the q& a vids. My favorite vids are definitely the day in the life ones where we get to follow you through your shift and see everything that happens. 😀
Love all your videos. You are so positive and make your videos very informative even for those of us who don't know any medical terms. Please continue to make more day in the life videos those are my favorite!!
you’re such an inspiration!!
Omg come on! Nice timing on uploading siobhan!! U are ONCE AGAIN being a life saver! Txs for uploading (in hospital with lung infection)😔i luv your videos and i luv this irish bond we have💚💚☘️
aw sorry to hear about the infection Meabh, i hope you are feeling better soon! and yes woohoo to the irish names that most people can't pronounce hehe
If there is a genetic counsellor in your hospital you should definitely do a video about what they do! Love your channel, Siobhan!
Yes! I would love this!
A new Violin MD video and Dr. Cellini video today!? Great start to the day.
i’ve been here since you were a first year student! it’s crazy that it’s been almost three years.
Hello! I am a med student in Brazil and I love your videos! Specially the case study ones (the DKA one was so interesting)!!
Just two pages? You are so awesome, you could probably handle at least 3😊👍
I only found you today. I know when people are good doctors or nurses you seem like you are a wonderful doctor. I am always at the hospital I have a chronic illness with multiple on top of them
A appreciate that you never film patients. I bet if I was sick, I wouldn't like being filmed. You have an admirable amount of respect.
these new q and a series is so good!
so glad to hear you like it Lucas!
You docs that deal with live patients are something else
You docs that deal with the deceased patients give us such important answers!
I really liked the "doctor stroy time" video you did a while back. Would love to hear another one like that !
Hey Siobhan! Love the videos, you inspire me so much to peruse a career of a doctor!
It’s really interesting to see your videos! My nana goes to the same hospital for dialysis, so it’s neat to see some behind the scenes and viewpoints from a dr that works there!
Thanks for answering my question! Great video, as always 😊
Thanks so much for asking Hannah!!
Siobhan, I miss your 26 hour call shifts. I hope you can do one soon. Thank you for all your hard work :))
Hi! Good job. It’s been crazy learning for me for personal and for work.
When you mentioned about a bunch of people responding to a "Code Blue", it gave me a flashback of when it happened to me. There were 2 nurses and a Dr that told me I was having a heart attack and I thought I passed out. When I opened my eyes there were about 10-12 people around me and the Dr said "welcome back". I didn't realize I coded at the time, but 15 min later I was in the cath lab having a blockage or 100% cleared from my LAD and had a stent put in.
Thanks for you videos. I enjoy watching them :)
Im addicted to your vlogs!! ❤ theyre just so amazing and informative!!
Thanks Adele - great to have you here!
Your videos are so incredibly inspirational! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Hadia!
Yay new video!!!
So inspiring! Love your vibe, your always so upbeat an positive.
Keep up the AWSOME work. I'll be waiting for your new upload, new subscriber.
Your very inspirational! ❤️💕
You are amazing I really enjoy watching your videos.
I prefer seeing sit down talking videos rather than vlogs, I feel like I learn more
One of the first viewers (as in first 500)! I don’t know how anyone is able to be first because your channel is so amazing that everyone rushes to watch!!💗💗
#notificationsquad ❤👍
aw thanks Riley!!
I love you so much it is a way to destress after a long week cried a lot
Hi! I'm not a med person whatsoever, but your videos are super addictive. Thank you for being so real and positive! Maybe videowise - a tiny bit violin (or cooking at home and just sharing, or... something off-sofa? It'd be super interesting to hear how you first fell in love with medicine, how you decided to pursue it...) in between the MDs? ;) Cheers! Lots of love! G.
Your videos are always very interesting!
Thanks Jessica!
I like watching u at the hospital and would like to see u doing things outside of work like ur every day thinking even if u think it’s boring like what tv series u like
I love these Q&A videos! 👏👏
yay glad to hear it Adnan - I like mixing them in!
Such a great and amazing doctor!!! I would choose you over any doctor any day 😂❤️ LOVE THE VIDS
Love your videos!
I have never wanted to be in the medical field but I really love your videos ! Those long hours are incredible.
On a side note - I was next to a girl at a concert yesterday , she looked a lot like you. I just pretended it was you ! We had fun 😀
I would love to see a vlog of your life outside of the hospital for an example what you do after your 26 hour shift!
love this and you siobhan!!
I LOVE YOU KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK 👍
I absolutely love your videos! Can you make a video discussing what happens and what it is like when a patient dies? Are some harder to cope with than others? What’s it like after the patient passes?
mmm yes thanks for the suggestion Ashley - i've been meaning to do some more on that. I did one called "facing death" so maybe check that out until I make the next one!
Love this! Please do more, I want to send a question next time 😁
Yes definitely I'll do more in the future and make an announcement!
Love your videos.
☘ Great video Siobhan! I love all your content - you are very eloquent, super informative and motivational. I like the mix of videos you do to ... love the in-hospital 26hr call shifts, the videos where someone was shadowing you - or you shadowed someone else - or the ones like this! Thanks for all your efforts :)
I love ur channel and I have just about watched every single video ( i only have like two to finish) but I want u to make more videos about " A day in a life of a doctor " U have inspired me so much and I want to be a doctor in internal medicine
Hi Siobhan! I'm an FY1 Doctor over in the UK. In a future video would you mind explaining the structure of medical training over in Canada (ie. how it works going from being a Med Student to being an Attending). Thanks!
sure thanks for the question Matt!
Love your vlogs
I love your smile!
i love love love your videos !!!! i just wish they were longer !!!! you are such a great bubbly person and id be happy if u was my dr !!!!
awwww thank you Tanya!
Here are my questions:
1. How do you self-pace and discipline yourself for studying for big exams like that? What sorts of study material do you use?
2. What are your experiences like in different subspecialties/departments?
love your content
Hey Siobhan!!! Today i was told some news that will change my life forever!! I’m getting my feeding tube removed in around 3 weeks!!!!! I’m still gonna need further treatment for my lung condition and stuff but i cant believe i’m getting it out!! Having surgery on june 2nd !!!
Omg itz coming so quick!! Less then 24 hours till my live dance performance in the town hall, for kids under 16 with disabilities!!!! Nurvs are kiking in but i was at this for 10 yrs so nothing new! Just as long as i dont forget my enhailer!!
I love all of your videos. Would you consider making videos about different organs of the body with facts we may not know?
Great video as always keep up the great work....PS Nick Fury still wants his pager back
I know a bit about what you mean by a recovery day. I was born with multiple heart defects due to Turners Syndrome. I currently have a weight and heat limit restriction (ish) now, but back in my 20's I did not. I wanted to be a nurse back then. So I became a cna first. I noticed after my week. I never had the energy for the weekend as it took my heart a couple days to fully recover. I got smart and finally asked my charge nurse for
4 on 3 off rotating schedule. Man it opened a whole new world having a day of actual rest lol. I wish I was wiser and had asked sooner haha.
mmm such an important message to share - thank you Katie! I'm glad to hear you have found a routine that gives you a good quality of life!
Omg yes!!!! Finally!!! After 2weeks I can finally leave the hospital 🏥 can’t wait till Thursdays live dance performance!! But school and meds come before dance!!
Yay that’s a great to hear!

You are soo amazing!!!😊
thank you Julie!
Hiii I love your channel!!
Thanks Julia!
Omg only 4 days till I get my feeding tube out!!!! I’m over the moon that next week is going to be one of the biggest weeks of my life because I’ve only recently started digesting food but!!!!! There are always complications involved !!
You answer more questions when people don't send them in by video
(your pre recorded Q&A videos contain way more than 4 questions).
And people have gotten better over time, but I feel that I don't risk
not to understand the questions if you answer written ones.
I love the hospital vlogs - your way of explaining things and even though
collaborations can feel a bit too directed at times, I like them.
One thing I would like more of is you explaining things to a junior or med student -
that way we would see your educational role in your day to day job.
Amazing video
I just want more behind the scenes of how you film your video. you seem to have a lot of well timed shots of people entering rooms!
If only there were more Dr's like you. I'm in Australia and my Mum had to go and get some stitches in her toe after an accident and the Dr was so rude.
Hi Siobhan! I'm not sure if it's been answered before but my question is: What do you as a doctor do when you have a patient that doesn't speak the same language? I'm not talking about something like French where (especially in Canada) you're likely to have someone around that speaks that language. But something very foreign where there's not likely to be a fellow doctor around who speaks it. Thanks! great videos as always!
This is such a good video❤️
and your ring looks really nice!!!
I like your reacting vids
Thanks Greg! Ok great to know you like the reacting ones!
The hospital I was staying at once had three cow whites at the same time. The nurses told me they had systems and procedures in place in order to manage these situations. So some staff new to respond to code 1 some knew if code 2 or 3 went off they would be the ones expected to go. Everything is very thought out in hospital.
Really happy to find your blogs thank you!. Hope in the future you can get permission to film some patient's
I prefer your videos when you're at the hospital, but QAs are good too. I'd say, although it may make videos a little longer, do both in each video.
I love your videos I know it’s against HIPA but I wish I could see you really with the patients
How do you take a history and what do you do when the person goes off topic but you’re rushing to take the history? These scenarios always come up In exams! (Anyone free to answer this haha)
Maybe in one of your videos, I would like to know why you wanted to become a doctor... Was there an experience you've had or something similar to that? Or have you just always wanted to be a doctor since you were young? Thanks!
I’ve got friends that are aspiring medics and I’m going into CS but hey I love your vids and my friends do too!
aw that's lovely to hear - thanks Chloe!
@@ViolinMD I love your effort to make every video as good as possible, has been here for months and I always have the bell on!
I’ve always wondered how often you wash or sanitize your hands in a call shift. I would imagine it would be a lot. Anyway, just wanted to say I admire your dedication to your job. Hello from a fellow Canadian 🇨🇦
i’m so happy you’re canadian! if i ever get sick i know which hospital to go to to find u haha
I am new subscriber I really liked how you shadowed a Nurse and visa versa. There should be more of that. I am a Pediatric nurse and wish I had that opportunity. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.
Love your videos! How are you allowed to film within the hospital during your shift?
Omg I’m finally early!!
Love u!
Omg she liked it
Another video again! This made my day knowing I learned something from you. #aspringdoctor
How do you manage to have time to edit these videos with your busy work schedule? Love your videos😃
Can we see a call-shift from the neurology or spinal ward? Great video content!
