Its sunday morning and im at work haha!, love seeing the railway rip out and rebuild, I use to work on the railway doing the job you are having done now, but suffered a near miss and now suffer badly with PTSD, I miss that job! i look forward to seeing more of the railway stuff :) keep up the great work Daniel And Team!

I remember working on some Massive insitiu concrete structures 1 meter thick basement slabs 700 cubic meter pours.. concrete trucks for days.
Going full blast into two 42 meter concrete pumps.
I was doing the formwork but worked on some crazy big pours.

that bagging set up looks nice wish my work had that, all i have is a scrap metal frame and 4 glorified rubber bands to hold the bags up to say I've had a few almost completely tip over on me would be an understatement.
Another great video, train montage with unloading at the end was great, loved the music, very chilled and the kchushhhhh of the gravel dropping finished it off.

Love watching the refurbishment. It's so different from the US and I wished we used some of these products. Just those conduits for HVAC are tiny versus the large metal ones we use that require large soffits and waste so much space

I work at a bagging plant. If you drop the tongs down tbat hold the bags whilst filling, you’ll get nice square bags, easier to stack and load up 👍🏽

It’s Sunday afternoon and I’ve just come home after cleaning up at work
2:00 I thought that desert sand was the wrong type of sand for construction. Its been my understanding that construction sand needs to have sharp edges so that the individual grains lock together. As far as I'm aware, desert sand has more rounded edges because its always being moved around by the wind, so its absolutely useless for construction projects.
Progress looking good with new yard, can't wait to see the standalone video to discuss the rail element in detail. Ashville team, have you thought about using ballastless track (made out of concrete)? Secondly would the road sweeper be converted to a road rail vehicle as then it could pick debris of the track keeping them clean or would this be still continue to be a manual job?
Hey Daniel, when you’re doing an MF ceiling and trying to keep sound down, do you use the acoustic hangers? Just before I came off the tools I did a high end ceiling and we used special hangers. They were heavy duty angle brackets, the face that’s fixed to the slab above was rubberised and held with one fixing with a washer. It stopped vibration in the ceiling and help noise reverberation.
Hopefully they remember proper drainage

Hey Daniel. Loving the updates on the rail yard development work.
Q: was it not possible to design your track layout to achieve the loco run round wholly within your yard rather than via the Colnbrook Branch running line? The arrangement depicted on the 'track plan' means you're going to be reliant on Network Rail signalers to control the movement on and off your siding onto the branch and back into your yard between the other traffic at the Colnbrook end of the branch. Perhaps when you do the stand alone vids of the yard construction you could explain the design rationale behind the railway layout chosen - as well as the construction detail - of course!

Just to give some context about the rain on the 16th as I live in the emirates yearly we receive an avg of 100-120mm and on the 16th alone we received about 255mm in a single day so basically it was 2 years worth of rain in a single day and according to the government it’s the most rain the country had received in 75 years

Rail it in, fuel trains are on colnbrook most of the time
Just get white. You can mark it as it's dispensed into locos, still have the white for yourselves. You can claim back duty from hmrc.(In theory, not sure about practice)
