@@Jaydenxkingback in the day, cab-over trucks got used a lot, but people prefer to drive big rigs like the good ol' peterbilt since they're comfier to sleep in, had more room for fuel, and is perfect for US roads since there's almost no tight squeezes. Meanwhile in Europe, you can't drive big rigs since they're extremely long and couldn't fit in the city's tight turns, hence why Volvo, Scania, Mercedes, etc are still making cab-overs and are upgrading them till the end of technology
@@Jaydenxkingplus cab-overs can't exactly make extremely far distances like big rigs do with how big their tanks are, how limited their engine power is, and how comfy the beds are
@@JesBdoinItAgain Sorry, what? The reason our fuel tanks are smaller is because there is absolutely no need for them on the vast majority of our routes. It's just dumb to haul around an extra ton of fuel when there are plenty of gas stations around. It just means you can put that much less weight on the bed. That's not to say there aren't trucks with ridiculous fuel capacity. I've seen trucks with 4x500l tanks which should come out at just above 500 gallons or a range of 4500-5000km or ~3000 miles. Lacking engine power? I believe the most powerful stock engines from a US truck manufacturer is 600hp. Both Scania and Volvo sell trucks with stock engines delivering 750hp or more. Our cabs may be smaller, and we have narrower beds as a result but they're no less comfy despite lacking in space. The European population tend to be a few sizes smaller than the average American so we don't really need the XL beds to be comfortable.

Hi Phill, VOLVOS cab is quite cramped ,fridge wouldn't b great,u realize how narrow the bed is ,the daf is quite old now and showing it's age ,I don't get the two bed thing,never see double maned trucks around a good set of well though out rear lockers would go down a treat,had a new s series demo for a fortnight beautiful truck, unfortunately a had to give it up after a week my back was broken,looking forward to the new daf Xg coming out later this year❤️🇬🇧
@@kp-qr6hy I think having the bed is possibly cheaper? dunno but I know that some prefer them because the bed has more storage than the lockers.

nu is een bed een persoonlijk iets natuurlijk , maar was wel ( ben wel ) benieuwd hoe dat zou moeten slapen, een kleine uitleg achter was op de plaats geweest :)
maar verder een leuke video , en laat ik de dame in deze video ook meer als wekome heten ! ze legt het fijn en duidelijk uit , ook de kleine snufjes , ik vind dat ze het heel goedee gedaan heeft en hoop haar weder te zien 😊

This would have been a very interesting had I spoken Dutch. Unfortunately though I don’t. Tried to bring up subtitles, but none were available. Anyway the Daf, Volvo & Scania get my vote. I have also previously driven the Merc. Overall it was an enjoyable truck to drive , but the mattress is utter pants!
Finally, the exceptionally attractive lady presents the trucks very well, even though I didn’t have a clue what she was saying 😉🥰 Hope we get to see her again with english subtitles enabled (please)
CZcams can translate the subtitles on a pc (not on a smartphone / tablet)

Oh, not at all. I drive 2019 TGX, it's terrible both for driving and living. Total hell! Sat today in the newest one, it's a step forward, but still 2 or 3 steps behind Volvo and 4 or 5 behind Scania!

Very impressed with the MAN coffee machine / microwave combo. Looks incredibly handy to store those 2 necessary items away. It's to bad all these trucks are great but don't copy enough ideas from each other. Would love to see the scania looks + dashboard table with the comfort of volvo, iveco's mobile app to control the truck, the futuristic dashboard of mercedes, MANs microwave / coffee machine setup, the mirror cams, descent fridge size all in one truck.
This is why competition is stupid...
MAN has a dashboard table on the passenger side as well

In European trucks, little more space should be for two persons for sleeping together, both single bed as well as double bed.And little more space for storage above the window side.Cabin should be little more backward for little space for bed.

All very nice, but I have always found the 6x2 Scania to have better road holding and better placement of mirrors. (usually the better economy).
Scania and Renault t range have the best mirrors, wide angle on top, standard mirror on the bottom, can’t stand when the wide angle are on bottom.

Wide angle shouls be at the bottom.
Most improved for me is the Iveco; but the MAN will do me just fine for my home away from home. Each to their own 👍

Our company has several old tractors. But only the Scania is durable.Other models, such as Volvo, MAN and Benz, are often repaired at workshop.

@@cristianirimia4649 well, it’s been 25 years I drive otr, driving International, KW, Pete, Freightliner and Volvo’s. Overall best ride so far are Volvo and Pete. For most of them these trucks have uncomfortable ride with a poor soundproofing. By the way they look good.

I don't know the language but I love it
Although I'm huge fan of Volvo but I would take the Man, I like the practicality of it coffee ☕ machine and microwave come in handy. But as for comfort and safety I will go with the Volvo. I don't like those many screens futuristic look of the Mercedes some things needs to stay traditional. Especially those rear view screens I don't see a need for it but other than that the Mercedes looks good but still I will go with the Man I just love it
