This is all because of the Alliance, they started it all... In the clip, Arthas Menethil turned Sylvanas into a Banshee, ofc she gets pissed off !! Kappa ;-)
As not just an Alliance main since early '05, but a NIGHT ELF main since that time, this quest series, especially the last one, hit me hard. I remember visiting Darnassus over 13 years ago for the first time, and seeing the names over all the NPCs made me sad. They could have just made them generic "Darnassian Citizen", but showing the actual names made it so much more heartbreaking. Seeing people like the bankers, class trainers, and even the humble materials vendors dying in a fire made me want to see Sylvanas burn in the most painful way possible.

I have to agree with him at this point, I was rather sympathetic to her for a long time, I dont excuse murdering innocent civilians to destroy "hope".

Actually she isn't. That was why the void was screaming at her sister to kill her. She cannot be controlled and the void cannot control or exert influence over her.
No i don't think she is controlled by any mean. The story shows that she does not believe on such a thing as "honor" or "morality" . She believes on total power ,Sylvanis is the Stalin or jankiz khan of wow. I feel the hordes will stop her at some point and maybe they will save jaina to fix her insanity towards a a certain faction "we all human" . The idea is to show that the people are not necessary the dictator. They only need the power to reject him and to get together to take back control.

It's a shame you only find out by reading outside of the game, but Malfurion had actually beaten Saurfang already and was preparing to finish Sylvanas off when Saurfang hurls the axe. For some reason it doesn't reflect that in-game by giving Saurfang low health...
Varian is rolling in his grave of that dishonorable move by Saurfang
Believe it or not that comment wasn't directed at the Horde nor you, but if you feel the need to say things like that you must feel some type of way. No further comment on my boy's channel. i caught 14 fish during the timer.
sylvanas failed to protect her people when arthas destroyed silvermoon.
she call herself a fool, because she only tried to defend her people, when instead she shouldve attacked arthas.
sometimes offense is the best defense.
she does not trust the alliance to keep the peace.
so instead of sitting idle and wait for the attack, and fail to defend as she did with arthas, she wants to wipe out the alliance, before it becomes a threat
i certainly dont agree with her way of thinking, im just trying to make sense of her actions.
it is not easy to come up with a story where it makes sense for both sides to go to war, for pvp to make sense.. id say this is a decent attempt

It was a combination of things as to why she burnt the tree. Saurfang didn't finish Malfurion which was her main goal. Then Saurfang played the this wasn't honorable card and let him go. Then she was just going to invade the tree but the other miss sassy pants decided to sass her so she was like screw it i can sass harder. BURN IT!
i guess it is time to add Sylvanas' head to your ever growing collection

maybe the reason sylvanas is doing this, is becos of Arthas' death. maybe he is lke bound to sylvanas' concious in some way and when he had "died" he had taken over pieces of sylvanas. Allowing him to continue his rule, but with more control. hes tainted her mind and is warping her perspective to the way he saw it :O

First, love the cinematic. Hit'm with the Flex Baj. Also loved Old Soldier, Saurfang for Warchief. Secondly, why does everyone seem so surprised by what Sylvanas did? I truly think the only Horde that can't believe it, and hate this arc, are the Sylvanas fanboys that have a "thing" for their sexy warchief.
I roll Horde and will always roll horde, but seriously, most Horde that played through vanilla as a forsaken, remember a very long quest chain in which you, the player, are aiding Sylvanas and her alchemists try to create a method of spreading, their undead plague to everyone, both horde and alliance...and everyone else in between. Her goal for a long time, after breaking free of Arthas was revenge, and creating a world where the forsaken would never be at risk of being whipped out, for being what they are. Well...after all that...really, your surprised she burned the Elf tree? I am damn shocked she didn't raise all the dead Nelf's as her undead servants. Well, the event isn't over that might be next.
That bit of info wasn't aimed at Bajheera btw, I believe he didn't start in WoW until WoTLK. Could be mistaken, but I think I him say that in a vid or during streaming....anyway.
I really like this arc personally. They can do a lot with it, which only adds to the enjoyment of the game, and in my opinion makes Horde, the more interesting faction to play. But, to each their own.

Heh all the horde players cheering genocide and the burning alive of innocents on...they fail to realize the goal was to point out that Sylvanas is a monster who's become the very thing she once hated most....AND she lied to the Horde to start a new war. She doesn't care about the Horde...her only goal is to create her own undead empire. The living soldiers of the Horde are nothing to her but arrows in her quiver to be directed at her enemies. The point of the Saurfang cinematic is to demonstrate that the TRUE Horde are like Saurfang. honor....no matter how dire the battle, never forsake it! Death to the Lich Queen and Saurfang for Warchief!
