In Chicago I ride the El (subway) and anytime I see a woman in a hijab I try to sit close to her. I want her to know I am an ally and won’t let het get harassed. Yes, you(re right on "casablanca"... Concerning the woman with a hijab though, may i tell you that the problem is a little different.. For instance, here in France, when a majority of women wear a hijab in a precise neighborhood, , those who don't wear it are often mollested and insulted, and it seems that no woman wearing a hijab are coming for a help... Look what happen in Iran, and other countries... This hijab issue is a very difficult problem and cannot be compared with what happens in "Casablanca" during the Nazi's domination. It even may be the contrary.. as this obligation to wear a hijab for women is closest to some dictatorial regime than to a liberal one...
