As a Jags fan - 49ers did SAME thing to us...in that game BOTH Jags and 49ers were coming off bye...49ers had lost 3 in a row...came in and DOMINATED us...they are just a VERY VERY GOOD SMART TEAM with some GREAT players.Made Jags look like FRAUDS.Iggs had 3 really tough games in last 3 weeks...while 49ers had played Thurs night previous week...so had 9-10 days off...that stuff matters! Tbh you don’t need eyes to see the issues with this defense. And under Howie it’s been the same formation, strong d line mid lb, mid to awful secondary. Every week this defense gets exposed. And when the line can’t get home which they aren’t as effective as they should be just being honest, this lb and secondary gets exposed over and over. He’s been saying the same thing for weeks and because we win people like to look over those things. Winning doesn’t cure all. Second quarter on our defense was ATROCIOUS. Take out that first quarter it’s been 7 straight quarter of just abysmal defense and one game was in pouring rain. This defense is a problem

Eagles won 2017 SB because of their power RBs - Ajayi and Blount. Smaller and quicker RBs are great but will not change the opponent's defense schemes. Even so, Eagles will need to balance their offense passing and running percentages to put pressure on the opposing defense team.

The crazy thing is we have a bigger back in Penny but they won't use him. Also Zacchaeus seems to be a good receiver and the guy never gets targeted. He's had two chances to catch a TD pass and capitalized on both. I don't understand having guys that are capable but never using them. Stoll is not Goedert but we didn't target the TE's once. Our coaching is bad and I think the roster is so talented that it masks a lot of the coaching deficiencies. Johnson refused to run the ball on first down, even before we got down big.

Appreciate Seth Joyner's analysis on our defensive deficiencies. It's both players and DC Desai that came up short in this game. Also, our offense started slowly for the third straight game. This is unacceptable. Clearly SJ59 STILL knows football no matter this new fangled offense that many say Joyner is a dinosaur and the game has past him by. But, I say as an organization, will Mr. Laurie, Howie, and Coach Sirianni have a conversation with him? There's no doubt, Seth Joyner is passionate about the game of football and for the Eagles.

When I have been saying the same thing as seth joyner in regards to the 5 man front atleast. It protects the LB which at this point is our weakest spot. I need seth to be the DC. I know it wont happen but its what Philly fans need. This man gets it.
I hope that Howie addresses our LB and cornerback lacking issue. We need a dominant LB in the draft that’s going to be a big name in the future.

Eagles had golden opportunities in the beginning of the game when the niners was still out of rhythm during the 1st two or three series and came away with six points instead of fourteen that would’ve been a good start right there and keep the petal to the metal and don’t look 👀 back because you know soon or later the niners is going to get it going and we need that cushion the problem is we didn’t execute on either side of the ball 🏈 ( including coaching)it was a total and complete ass kicking and (it showed big time)it’s UNACCEPTABLE PERIOD 🦅😡🤬

This isn't rocket science. We've been whistling past the graveyard all season with the defense. The offense has it's problems of it's own, but they're correctable. The defense just doesn't have the talent, and I hope Howie will open his eyes about the value of linebackers. Also, the secondary is slow. Good guys, high-character guys, but they just don't have the speed and cover ability now. They don't have the talent, and because of that, it is one of the worst defenses (certainly not a championship-level defense). Patching it up isn't going to work. Please, Howie, think about those two areas in the off-season. It's cool to be dominant on the line (though the line hasn't been lately), but I think it's better to be good all over than dominant on one level and ridiculously bad on the other two levels...in a PASSING LEAGUE!
The Eagles let them punk them over the summer, during the season, during the lead-up to the game, and during the DB drills before the game. They were prison punked, intimidated. And even their fans were bold enough to come here and disrespect our city without getting swatted across the snotbox. I don't want to hear sh!t about the Eagles being classy or taking "the high road". You don't take the high road with bullies. You get snake-belly low with them, lower than they can get. As a Niners fan I respect Philly. They’re loaded with talent. They’re clearly one of the best teams in the league and at some point we’ll have to go through them to get that ring. This game was the inevitable outcome of what we've seen transpire all year. Dodging bullets with awful play until a team came along with enough talent that didn't make dumb mistakes. Despite the record and talent on the roster, this team absolutely blows. They do nothing well or consistent on either side of the ball. My theory for the last couple of years will hold true- this team will not win the SB under this coach and his staff. They are clueless and prove it over and over. The talent and leadership of this team is masking the amateur-level coaching. Steichen and Stoutland have been the only competent coaches. Without Shane, this offense has no identity.

As a diehard eagles fan all my life, this man was spot on with everything he said, our safety's r soft, the offensive and defensive play calling has been suspect all year, we r only 10-2 due to the caliber of offensive players we have, our players carry the coaches and not the other way around when its how its suppose to be, the 49ers beat the cowboys the same way and thats with physicality, i wish i could speak on a show like this cause i would tear Desai and BJ a new one, most likely fire them both, they both r trash. If the eagles didnt hqve the caliber players they have then from a coaching stand point, we would be the worst team n the league. I love my team but the truth is the truth!
Everything was stacked against the Eagles, they need to get better, especially Defense. Niners had more rest, more health and they circled this game in the beginning of the year. It was more meaningful to them and you could tell, to the Eagles it was just another game in a gauntlet, but win at Dallas next week, this game doesn't matter as much. If they started out 14-0 I think we would be looking at a different game. It's a long season hopefully we will see them again in the Playoffs.

Die hard 9er fan here, I'll be honest, I was apprehensive coming into this one, the Eagles are no joke. And I was really worried after the first quarter. But then the true 49ers showed up and showed you how to play football. If the 9ers stay healthy, they will make it to the Superbowl and will probably win it all.

The biggest issues with this team were on full display yesterday, 1. THIS OC AND HIS STUPID GAMEPLAN. RUN THE FOOTBALL, not converting ont he first two drives for at least one td was huge momentum shift. 2. Our defense has gotten this “bend but don’t break” label and last night they finally broke. Idk if it’s a result of 3 games in 13 days while Niners were off for 10 or this is just who we are. We didn’t just get out but beat in one game. This offense isn’t a long term issue the lb and secondary is troubling. We also had number one rush defense idk what has happened to that. Last two weeks team have been running the ball down their throat. “Their deficiencies finally caught up with them.” Seth Joyner. Yes yes yes. The Niners are a great team and will not fold. And we made it personal with nfc championship game last year. Yesterday was like a sb for them so that game could just be 1 of those days, but was it really…deep down as an eagles fan we all know the Niners are the team that will be a problem this year. A game like this should help our coaching staff assess what they need to do to improve. If Brian Johnson can't see that running the ball 18 times 48 is not good enough then he needs to be replaced. We have to stop giving away first downs. AJ caught two slants for good gains and then we just stopped throwing slants. We had no targets to the TE's and Zacchaeus is just completely ignored every game. The talent we have on offense is not being maximized.
