they are all music to my ears.... Love Jet engines....
flyinga319 thats it !
Yeah
Should get one in the bedroom😉😂🙃🤣
gonna keep the likes there
Yeah brother
Mayhem as usual with the GE90, but RR's roar at TOGA is just so soothing and distinct. My favourite roar has to be the Trent XWB.
agreed!
The RR Trent 1000 isn’t bad too
I like to imagine Jeremy Clarkson at the controls.
SPEEEEEEEEED AND POWEEEEEEEEEEEERRR!
"Sometimes, my genius is just... it has no limits." ~ Jeremy Clarkson
COME OOOOOOON!
777 for me :) ( GE90-115B )
Heathrow Aviation My favourite aircraft and engine :)
TheSeaKodiak the first clip is certainly one of the best sounding
YES
..
Thats because you cant compare the GE90-115B with RR Trent 800 :/ at least GE make there engine roaring like an RR thats why their nice to hear
3:21 That sound when the thrust is reduced to climb on a GE90-115B is the second best of all. The best is when the engine starts.
GE-90's! Always! They scream in high and very low frequencies and sound very reassuring to me. Raw power! Rolls-Royce Trent 1000's are my 2nd favorite. They are as smooth as velvet with very cool low frequencies and a soothing high-frequency whine that could lull me to sleep. Just magnificent!
The GE90 engines are amazing !!!
GE90s are awesome. They produce a crazy amount of thrust, and sound beautiful.
GE90 "Coffee Grinders"...love 'em!
Agreed
My favourite is the 777-300 because this plane is very cool and the engines are really big !
YES
Lol
u must be exited as i am for the 777X
@GenuineIntel 777X noises REEEEEEE
From the 777-300 are the Turbine small. But the 777-300ER have Big Turbine
If I was a passenger in a long haul flight I would prefer the engines of the 787 and A350.As an aviation enthousiast the louder the better.Great video.
Thanks a lot!
As an aviation enthusiast I would prefer old school 747-200's, 737-200's, 727's, md-80's, L1011's, and DC-10's. :)
Agreed,
I like loud myself, just don't want it inside the cabin. And for that, I pick the BAC1-11.
ChuddleBuggy if I want loud I'll just get a computer with extremely loud fans that sounds like a jet in someway minus the air rushing sound and instead just a loud whine
If anyone hasn't flown commercial before, you would be surprised how much power these things have, it will put you back in your seat on take off, I flew on a 757 and was shocked how fast it was, not only that but our cruising speed was 600mph.
I went on a330 with the Trent 700. We were cruising at 1160 km, which is about 721.79 MPH. Idk why, kinda un usual it was
The winds were probably in our favor
@@Taxable_Trophy That's nuts, yeah the tailwinds in the jet stream are wild, ours I think was like 90mph
Definitely GE90 is the best
787 2nd place
Gotta agree with this
Agreed!
The GE90s definitely have my favorite spooling sound. Unfortunately, they don't do as well in this video because they're so loud that the audio recording starts clipping when they spool up to takeoff power.
On spool up the Trent XWB engines sound sooooo amazing
But where is the a350
Oh my god the A350-900's RR TRENT XWB-84 engines are pure eargasm
The big GE engines have a unusual sound to them, I think I like the 747 because it has a more traditional jet sound to the engines. I rode on a 767-400ER and it sounded a lot like the engines on the 777.
I prefer the buzzing sound from the rolls royce engines
Also the classic planes :D
True very relaxing
My Rolls Royce (car) doesn't 'buzz '. :)
@@gregt8638 is your car an engine?
*-XPLANE10-* those are the Honda Civics that wake you up at 3 AM
Infinite Flight JPC me too
Well, in this limited group, the winner is clearly the beastly GE90.
For me is XWB and 700
@@theodorelow4487xwb sounds whack like a vacuum cleaner
By far, the awesome 777's GE-90!
HANDS DOWN!...THE GE90's 115B USED ON THE B777-300ER IS A "BANSHEE" SPOOLING UP TO MAX POWER TO LIFT MASSIVE WEIGHT. ANYONE THAT LOVES TAKEOFF (with sound) WILL LOVE THESE POWER PLANTS! GREAT VID. THANKS!
747 😍👍
The sound is classic, the design amazing. The sounds of the new engine's are like a water pump
Gotta love when those great big ge90s spool up
My personal favourite is the Rolls Royce Trent XWB because of it's aggressive roaring sound on full power run during take off. I love it.
GE90 engines definitely my favourite!
My personal favorite out of this lot would be the RR's on the 787-9
Darrell Nichols yes totally! The RR Trent 1000 engine’s roar sounds awesome and also I have took the 787 with these engines and I assure you, the roar of that engine during takeoff may be loud but it is quiet during cruise
LOVED THIS VID, ALMOST AS MUCH AS I LOVE THOSE GE 90'S!!! THX FOR POSTING ;-)
Damn those GE 90s sound incredible
Loved the take off at night plus the engine noise was awesome ❤✈😊
I vote for the 350. The initial throttle has a unique sound.
I'll take the P&W just because of the 744.
At least those p&w’s are not the JT3D
What’s wrong with a JT8D??? Super loud and pleasant to listen to
adwait bhardwaj if it’s a 747-400 it’s known as 744.
@Ziam shehzad no dumb ass 744 (747-400)
@adwait bhardwaj correction >> 744 (747-400)
Personally i love all of them! i love all aircraft, Airbus and Boeing i love any sound and any spool ups
I love the footage at 9:13 from inside the Dreamliner!
777's are loud planes inside.
VERY.
yes!
It’s facts. On one for 16hours
Yup just the way i like it.
Not exactly, the choice of engine can effect the cabin noise also. In fact, in my experience Boeing are generally quieter. I have found Rolls Royce Trent's quieter.
Was gibt es besseres wie den Sound einer 777-300er!
Hammer!
Those ge90s are brilliant I just love it great content
Damn that Trent 700 spool up was so sweet
Hands down that the GE90 engines are the very best sounding and running. I flew from Seattle to Taipei on the 777-300ER and absolutely fell in love with that plane and engines. My favorite before was the 747-400 which I flew from Seattle to London in British Airways. I will stick with the 777 Family for all time!
I’m edging towards the Trent XWB, it’s just gorgeous
A350 Rolls Royce XWB was the most quiet and my favorite
Yup
The jet blast is quiet for sure.
First of all a good applause for the uploader to compile all these videos with different aircrafts. Second there are two ways to rate the videos one for the loudness of engines and the other for the quietness of aircraft. I will say the louder of the lot was the GE engine of 777. and the quieter aircraft was A350 which adds greatly to passenger comfort. I am also amazed by how short the take off was for A350.
777 with ge 90!!! love that roar and the 777 is the best plane in the world
All sound great! Hard to pick!
The engines sound cool, mean, and nasty on the 777, but I like the smoothness of the 747, so ultimately 747.
What an awesome video! Just plugged the earphone and...better than music!
I like the sound of the Rolls Royce Trent 700 and Trent XWB myself, but the GE 90 looks like it has the higher take off speed. The GE does have a sharp grinding sound once it gets into the air.
Pratt person all the way but, the Trent 700 "howl" is super cool.
Pratt & Whitney for the win! Love the sound of those engines.
That feeling as you get slammed back is amazing
A350 is the quietest but seems to have more grunt, but that awesome sound of the 747 has always been a favorite of mine.
Boeing 747-400 and Boeing 777 forever!
tiluriso True
Sadly the 747 is getting less common
The greatest collection ever! I subbed.
P&W sounds awesome!.
Sweetest sounding is the RR Trent XWB. The combination of the turbine whistle and the RRoar is awesome. GE90 is a straight out best though!
I love the sound of all large turbo fan engines. But if I had to pick one as my favorite it's the GE-90.
18:20 -- You are as crazy about engine noise as I am! Excellent footage on all .
Haha thank you very much!
Listen to: "Inside Air Tran next to the right engine- takeoff Savannah" on the gooberon channel. Yours truly made it !! You can probably tell me the engine model.
What a lovely sound! Without cheating, I can't tell you the exact model. I really don't know. I would say it sounds like a good old GE...
@@TheFlyingFrenchmanHD Its a RR BR700
When it comes to spool ups, nothing can touch the 777 and the GE-90s....however, when it comes to full throttle, those Rolls Royces on the 757, the engines on the A320, A340 and the A380 are tops untouchable
I'm torrn between the GE90 and Trent 700, both sound amazing!
PICK GE-90
Their all my favorite I like the sound 🔊 really really love it 😍😍
Wow, the A350 sounds incredibly quiet.. :O
High bypass ratio engines sound the best, specially the GE90, Trent 700, Trent 1000 and Trent XWB. The A380 also had good-sounding engines. Call me mad, but this buzzsaw sound, specially at cruise speed relaxes, reminds me of my ceiling fan and the buzz coming from the electric motor driving the fan blades. Without this sound I find hard to sleep.
Wow how coooooool
I like the 777-300ER and 747-400 the most
Although the 787 is good, you gotta love the GE90 engines on the triple seven.
Samuel Lane to noisy and a bit scary , sound like soar engines , 747 all the way 👍🏾
777 1st
787 2nd
A350 3rd
747 4th
A330 5th
1. 777
2. A350
3. Everything else
This is what I’m looking for, I miss flying so much.
The signature Trent roar wins every time. The Trent 1000 despite its issues sounds amazing while the XWB is showing how Rolls are making their engines quieter much to my disappointment! Can't beat the Trent ROOOOAAAAAARRRR!!!
The mighty Boeing 777-300ER's GE90 engines . My dad USED to work in GE! 1966, to be exact!
777 has awesome sound, showing how powerful it is!!!.
Nice compilation....
GE-90's are the best sound although when on a long flight wouldn't be so nice, still the best plane and engine around
I agree - having flown LHR to TPE on two 777s the GE90 noise was nice at first but particularly sitting in Economy at the back it was really rather noisy for 15 hours. Granted I did have a stopover but it does get really quite loud.
Ben Winship hell no.
Boeing 797 - It probably won’t be too bad - the middle of the wing is quieter than the very back but I would still recommend you bring earplugs or noise cancelling headphones!
PW4000 series are my fav, GE90's a close second. They sound like beasts, the super high pitch scream of PW's is so awesome, and the louder but lower pitch of the GE's is so beastie. The loud rumble the GE's make (not the whine) is my favorite sound out of all though its like an earthquake hahaha. The thrust of these engines is just absurd, one GE90 makes the same power as all 4 engines combined on an A340-200.
“….one GE90 makes the same power as all 4 engines on the A340-200. “
What a ludicrous, uninformed statement to make.
Don’t be so bl**dy silly boy. Read the tech pages. RR de-rated at 56,000 x 4 = 224,000 lbs,
A GE90 is 110-115,000 lbs. QED
@@acsimpson2633the a340-200 doesnt use rr trent 500
It uses cfm56 5c4 the weakest variant at 139kN x 4 = 556kN
Ge90-115b is the only Ge90 that produces 512kN and is still not correct
still no comparison as the a340-200 is much lighter than a b777-300ER
I Love Them All Just great
Music to my ears !!! All engines
The GE90 is the quietest, most efficient, and powerful engine currently. Sounds awesome!!!
Most powerful certainly, but quitest, I don't think so! Thanks for the comment ;)
The 777 engine's spool up sounds amazing, thing is while cruising its pretty damn loud. I had to turn the volume up to max on the IFE so I can actually hear the movie.
777 always freaked me out with that sudden change of engine sound in mid air soon after take off, jeez the 747 in comparison is so smooth
If that freaked you out, good thing you never flew on the Concorde. They turned off the after burners shortly after take off, reducing both acceleration and noise.
I love the Boeing 737-700 roars
Nothing can top the Golden Boeing 747, it still rules the skys
Nothing beats the roar of the beast GE90-115B..
The A350's Trent XWB is quiet ? omg that buzzsaw noise is horrible !
If there was 757 that would be the best because their roars are just insane, and that is why 757 is my favourite
GE engines are smooooooth!!
The perfect video doesnt exi-
Its amazing how you would think the sound pitch couldnt go any higher and all of a sudden.. BAM
RR XWB by a country mile! Wonderful engine!
I have to say the A330's Rolls Royce is my favorite!
The hot weather has significant impact in take off. The Etihad was like running forever. Scary!
787 sounded the best and was the quietest!
Love the video
GE90-115B I have the chance to board a b777-300er Air Austral flight once with only 50 passengers from Paris to Lyon before flying to Reunion Island and believe me it's really amazing we were all stick to our seats
You almost had the entire plane for you. Must've been one of your best flights! Thanks for your comment ;)
People don't understand that the 777 is louder than the a350 because the 777 has the biggest engines in the world.
The sound level isn't directly linked to thrust or size. The B747 (especially RR) is louder than the 777, with smaller engines. And I anticipate before someone tells me that's because it has four engines^^ : the sound level isn't directly linked to the number of engines either (the relationship is not linear). The 747-8 has the same engines as the 787 (Genx), that does not make it twice louder.
Nicholas_Lee not the biggest....the most powerful
which one are the biggest?
Andreas Hoppe 777s GE-90
Not jus the size is the way each manufacturer made every part of the compressor and the main fan blades.
These are fantastic, but the Boeing 707 (with it's four JT3D turbofans) will always sound the best! Hands down!
The Trent 1000 @ 10:00 gets my nod for best sound - honorable mention to the Pratt and Whitney & GE90s
Would be really cool to see all this from outside
I love Airplane Sounds
The reason the 777 may sound louder has to do with the extra mass bypass air exiting the engine and were you are sitting. It may be quieter In front of the engine than behind
Say what you want, GE makes some nice sounding engines. Shockingly loud roar of air being shoved through the fan with just a hum going in the background like someone humming a song while vacuuming.
The sound of ths B777-300ER is pretty cool.
777-300ER love it its like a rhythmic sound
777-300ER sounded very nice
deffinitely the first ge90-115b sounded like thunder
Awesome
Still lovin those A340-313X hairdryers.
Trent XWB gets my vote but the P&W 4056 runs a close 2nd.
