Artem Hutorov was 15 years old when a convoy of Russian soldiers and minibuses pulled up to his school in the Ukrainian town of Kupiansk.
The soldiers were armed, the Ukrainian teenager recalls, and their faces were hidden under balaclavas.
In the above excerpt from the new FRONTLINE documentary "Children of Ukraine," Artem describes what happened next.
“The Russians surrounded the buses, and we were taken out under the control of armed men,” Artem says.
In that moment, he adds, he feared “that we would be shot from all sides.”

they took a lot of ukrainian children from orphanages and school to Russia “summer camps”. Not to save them, but to use them as leverage under the disguise of saving them, also there are propaganda videos of the ukrainian kids crying and hugging the russian soldiers saying thank u for saving them from ukraine. they essentially wanted to brainwash them into believing their country was bad. this was done to native American kids in the US and aboriginal children in Australia back in history. they gave him back bc they weren’t actually trying to save or help the children. they were just used as props so that russia looked like the “good guy”. they killed many children. there is a documentary on this channel that u really should watch. it shows the dead children and pregnant women and also was filmed by a Ukrainian reporter who was trapped in the middle of the war.

Since you asked, Here's my personal opinion: I agree with you in saying that our government should definitely look towards the ever-increasing amount of problems (Border crisis, drug epidemic, rising inflation etc.), accruing in this beloved nation of ours. As a nation, we have given 75 billion dollars to aid Ukraine's govt, a government which suffers regularly from widespread forms of corruption. And even though we have provided billions of dollars worth of equipment, Ukraine has still yet to rid the Russians off of their territory. Giving them more money may only prolong the suffering of both Ukrainians and Russians alike in this conflict, rather then ending the war for good.
But at the same time, I really don't want Ukrainian men, women and children to suffer at the hands of a brutal military occupation. If as a nation the U.S has enough money set aside to aid those fighting for democracy and freedom, then of course we should aid them in their cause. At the same time, there's always the probability that if Russia does conquer Ukraine, they may not just stop there. They may even go so far as to re-take all of Eastern Europe (which, for the most part, is NATO aligned) thus causing a Third World War.
In short, I'm split over this question. The reason why I asked you and others in the comments section was that my opinions tend to be flawed in their nature, and people, such as yourself, may have both the intellect and the reasoning to help formulate a proper ideology.

@@Tormentality There is no singular truth; too many perspectives, etc. Since you have watched this PBS presentation we both should know that they do the best they can and try not to bias anything. For me it’s all about Zionism; review some of that about them. Review that aspect right near the end of WWII please. Basically, they say they have a ‘god given right’ to that land… One in which they left prior to WWII, where people ‘have resided and now reside’ (in past tense as noted WWII era; and even now). On the surface during this time it looked like they were a peaceful people, not minding the Israeli's! Look at what they’ve done to ‘obtain’ that land, sure some and/or much was done ‘legally’/’rightfully’ but there are instances of where they massacred virtually all the townspeople’s; and here’s the thing to that - it’s been reported by ‘witnesses’ that they took pictures of the people before they did that bad deed. When confronted to release those pictures - they outright said that they would not; thereby confirming at the very least that they have noted pictures! Now - even if that is true then I have to ask: “So how will god view and more importantly Judge “them” for doing such?!?’ They used the holocaust to gain influence and power around the world, all to support their people. Then some since WWII - have used that to have the world turn a blind eye to what they’ve been doing and are doing! Let me show you an example that is similar! USA & Native Americans! Its repeated many times before and since! Are we not to be ‘better humans’ and ‘learn by our mistakes?’ Doesn’t look like it! @Vox has a bunch of decent videos, theirs on the conflict dates some 8 years ago. Look at this one by @NovaraMedia “Israeli Sniper Shoots Dead Unarmed Palestinian With White Flag” Stop and think about it… A Sniper had to have that guy in his sights, so he would see that at least one of them is carrying a white flag… Then there’s one by @CNN “Palestinians are being shot while waving white flags. CNN's Clarissa Ward investigates.” This one - you see it all in the video! Then there’s this one - from like 12 years ago! @60minutes “Stories about Israel and Palestine from the archives | 60 Minutes Full Episodes” Least ‘we’ forget what the UN Leaders themselves are saying! Least we forget the humanitarian supplies by World Central Kitchen! To allow this continuing subjugation of Palestinian’s under Israel control is INHUMANE! Least we forget the words of Tal Sagi and many others! Least I get to not wanting my US Tax Dollars paying Israel to do this kind of crap!
