Yea, um no? The game is a school project at DigiPen Institute of Technology. The game was made 2 years ago and has no relation to valve other than being on steam. I have no idea where you heard that or if you just pulled it straight out of your ass, either way fuck you in particular.

Hahaha I was making sure someone talked about DDLC! Literally one of the best written games I've come across and completely free! But they came out with DDLC!+ which is just a few extras but you're not missing anything, but I got that for free on epic one weekend a few months back!
I also recommend a short, sweet little RPG called Grimm’s Hollow. Go into it blind, it’s really sweet. If you liked Oneshot, then you’ll probably like it. It’s free, short, and has a wonderful if straightforward story. :)
What incompetence? The game is extremely old, it is not generating revenue anymore, there is no point in maintaining it, they want people to move on and buy their other games

Ok, here is an insanely underrated one. When the Darkness Comes. Depending on your head state it can be life changing. But it is a great art piece combating your depression. Sadly not many people have seen the true ending
Outpath was very fun! About 10 hours worth of content in there for the ending, not much room for growth after but it’s fun to see how many resources you can collect
SCP: Secret Laboratory Its a free multiplayer game about SCP's. I spend about 250 hours on it. Its really fun to learn and it has a lot to learn. The community and admins are also really nice almost always. Really recommended. The game is PVP with players being SCP or Humans. There isnt any AI's and its a horror game but it isnt that scary. Only minus is that the rounds take a lot of time and there is a lot of waiting if you die early. You do spawn in after you die but its about 30 minutes per match and some can even be 1 hour. You can join in the match when its ongoing and can respawn.

As a person who has played through the whole game i would definitely recommend it, its really chill and i lover playing through the game
