  • Original 2004 Devinci Hucker that was designed and actually "manufactured" in Canada (not made in China). The bike underwent a complete frame off restoration with the chain stays and seat stays repainted (back-end of the bike). The down tube and top tube only got paint touch-up's to preserve the original decals that are on the bike. The frame is straight and there are no cracks.
What Davinci said about the bike - Hits the mark as arguably this is the strongest hardtail frame ever built. Marketed as a freeride hardtail, this frame will do anything from trail riding to dirt jumping to downhill.
    Specs;
    Frame Construction - TIG-welded
    Frame Material - 6061 T6 aluminum
Fork - Marzocchi Bomber EXR Pro (2005)
Dual Open Bath SSV System (speed sensitive valving)
The fork was completely overhauled and is equipped with SAE 7.5 fork oil as spec'd by Marzocchi. Damping in relation to rider weight is controlled by changing the viscosity to either a heavier or lighter SAE.
Brakeset - original Avid was upgraded to brand new Shimano MT200 Hydraulic disks front and back
Shifter - Shimano Deore 9 speed
    Front Derailleur - NA
Rear Derailleur - Shimano Deore RD-M510 9 speed
Crankset - 170mm SR Suntour with single 32 tooth chain ring and Blackguard bushguard
    Pedals - Wellgo LU-A8U
    Bottom Bracket - Shimano BB-UN40
    113mm spindle
BB Shell Width - 73mm English
    Rear Cogs - Shimano Deore 9 speed 11 - 32 teeth
    Chain - Shimano CN-HG53, 1/2 x 3/32"
    Seatpost - Kalloy SP-242, 27.2mm diameter
    Saddle - Titec Berserker ST
    Grips - Bontrager XR Trail
    Handlebars - Kalloy aluminum riser
Handlebar Stem - Radical Artos DH
Headset - 1 1/8" threadless WTB Momentum Comp ST
Rims - Sun Rims Ditch Witch, 32-hole
    Hubs - Shimano Deore disc
    Tires - LHR 26 x 2.125
Forks are an open bath design, that means the oil in the lowers can circulate in the spring section of the fork. On sealed units like air forks, the lower oil is there only to lubricate the fork. On an open bath design the oil is also being used to damp the forks movement making for a simpler design.

Awesome review of a truly 'do-it-all bike!!!! I can't agree more. I still ride my 2004 Hucker as my main bike and ride everything from jumps to trails to DH runs with it. Not to be picky, but that appears to be a 2001 frame.

Thanks for the feedback. From the research I did, I believe Devinci went to Marzocchi’s in 2003 and then to Hayes hydraulics in 2004 which this one was originally equipped with. Always a best guess on my part though.

@@johnsbikerestorations The 2004 did come with a dirt jumper 3, that's correct. The 2004 model had the unique matte tan paint. Something subtle to note, in the earlier Huckers, the down tube has the convex facing downward, where as the 2004 has the convex facing upward. The headset gusset is hollowed out a bit on the 2004, and from my understanding only the 2001 had the rear brake mount between the stays. Regardless, beautiful bike, great review. Just happy to share some chat about these amazing bikes.
