Great video, as always!! Google did a great job with the Pixel 6a, by making the form factor look so modern and by putting the Tensor chip in rather than a mid ranging Snapdragon chipset like they had been doing in the past A series!! Hope to see the 6a fairs over time especially with the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro's launch date just around the corner
Really glad you mentioned the phantom drain in the Samsung devices. I've been turning fast charge off but I think it's taken its toll on my phone's battery.
Both phones prove you don’t need $1,000 phones to get quality and even flagship performance. My opinion is in 2022, the 6a is the clear winner. It’s a more modern phone with a bigger more vibrant screen and comparable performance. I even prefer the plastic back on the 6a for durability. I just feel like long term the 6a will look like a more refreshed design. And with Google constantly improving things with updates I think it’s only a matter of time before the tensor chip catches up with the a series bionic chips.

Honestly i was thinking of getting the iphone 13 but I don't want to spend that much money,now I have an XR. I've been an Android user for years and I'm missing some feature and openness of it,never had Pixel phone but this one looks really nice and software support is great too,has all the essentials.The SE looks too dated in my opinion an the price is similar so I'm really tempted to go back to Android with such a nice phone.

Battery, display, camera, looks, features, software, Type C and cameras are just downright better on the Pixel. You get iMessage, little longer software support and the brand name with the SE. For my money even though I love small iPhones I'm not paying Apple for a dated looking device with mediocre battery life.
SE is a great device, really the only thing it has against it is the old design, and battery.. literally everything else about it is great, Apple doesn't know how to do anything budget at all.. they could probly drop the price of the SE to 300$ honestly.
That 4.7" LCD display is cheap today, especially when you can buy a budget Android smartphone with a larger and higher resolution display for around $120. The iPhone SE 2022 cost to make today is only around $150 at most. So Apple could easily sell the iPhone SE for $300 at a profit.
@@sgodsellify they could still profit on it around 230$ easily, the most expensive thing on the se is the processor, at 470$ for 64 gigs is a rip off.. they are using material they used on older iPhones from that time, old design and the iphone 8 screen is million times better.. just slapped A15 on there and hike up the price at an unreasonable cost.. I love Apple products airpods iPhone ect, but this iPhone se is a joke selling it for 64gigs at 470$..

I have se 2020 and it's already falling apart, always kept it in cases but battery, screen and performance getting worse...yeah it has updates but it's not reliable. Watching video or doing anything entertaining is garbage, I only use it for phone calls and facetime for lazy iPhone users ..

I can never understand how usb is a plus it’s a cable to charge your phone, it fits it charges then you take the charger out or am I missing something here? And besides I thought wireless charging is a thing now or is that just hype now?
It's not just a cable, it's a more universal cable that can charge tablets, laptops, some speakers, and other products. Lightning is very limited to only certain Apple proprietary products. In addition, the cable is getting faster and more updates more often than lightning making it great for fast transfer speeds between phone and laptop or camera and laptop!
I know. I have nothing that uses the USB C, all of my devices are lightning. It's nothing most folks carry about.

I like the way the 6a looks, but I like the iPhone SE 2022 (3rd gen) very much as well. For us older folks the 'retro' look of the SE 3 is something we actually *like* . I *love* the SE 3 display (LCD panel 4.7") and the rear-facing camera takes awesome videos and photos. Battery life to us old fogies doesn't really matter that much, either. I also really like the entire Apple ecosystem as well as the perfectly smooth device integration experience Apple provides. And it's not difficult to get the SE 3 for *$329* these days, so the price is over $100 cheaper.
I love how fast it charges the SE is the better phone in my opinion. 2 hours to fully charge a phone going into 2023 unacceptable for me

One thing i have had issues with Pixel or any android for that matter is the updates. We don't know when that stops. for an Apple device I could always rely on it for years. Pixel for trend and Apple for longetivity.
You get 5 years for Pixel 6 updates and security patches.

Nick come on man, you are comparing two totally different smart phones, with two totally different operating systems, meant for two different markets of people, you couldn’t tell an Apple fan boy that the Google pixel is better than the iPhone and vice versa, I literally saw a video years ago where this guy was comparing an iPhone X to an LG Stylo and trying to say that the Stylo was a lot better than the iPhone, it’s never really an accurate representation in comparing android, and iOS simply because people usually don’t switch between the two they stay with that first choice they make. the most important way it isn't and negates everything else - the fingerprint reader is not working reliably. You will be irritated so much by its malfunction in important moments that you'd want to smash the phone to pieces. Save yourself the nerves and your health - don't buy optical fingerprint reader phone. Buy a real fingerprint reader phone instead or at least ultrasonic. the only thing that works well on the Pixel 6a is its camera, that's it, finish, you are done. Nothing else.
I would still buy the SE for many reasons. 1: the camera design on the pixel looks atrocious compared to the simple single camera on the SE. 2. the SE overall has a cleaner design compared to the pixel. 2: The SE is a way more iconic design than the pixel, would you rather have a Tesla (SE) or a Chrysler (Pixel). 4: it runs iOS, which is faster, safer, more reliable, and more user friendly than android, as well as having great sync with apple's MacBooks (you cant have have that on a pixel, even with windows laptops).
Thanks for sharing, that Tesla vs Chrysler comparison is ridiculous though and an insult to the Pixel line which is a very tight comparison to Apple devices.

@@nickackermanchannel I was talking about how Chrysler electric vehicles have many features, many of which are objectively better than tesla's, but tesla is mainstream and has a more iconic design, as well as being different than all the other cars by having many unique features, like their autopilot, their keycards, tesla steering wheel, etc. Apple is very similar to tesla as they are always striving to put features into their cars that no other car has, e.g. autopilot. Right now tesla is setting an example, a path, for other electric car companies to follow. For example, ford is developing basically a copy of tesla's autopilot called "BlueCruise", and many other big car companies are following tesla's footsteps. Tesla is setting the standard for how electric vehicles should be built and what features they should have, and other companies are copying them. This is the same case for Apple. For example, when they came out with the iPhone 10 that had no home button, Samsung, pixel and all the other android manufacturers started copying them. Or when apple did something as mere as remove the charging brick from the iPhone box, Samsung copied them. Same thing happened when they started putting multiple cameras on their phone. same thig happened when they removed the headphone jack, google copied them. Same thing happened when apple created airpods, and google knocked them off with their pixelpods. Basically, iPhone is the original smartphone, and all that Samsung and all these other phone companies are doing, is copying them because they cannot be unique, they only care about the money and not the product they are producing, which is why they use android and not make their own OS like apple. Apple is real, genuine, unique, they care about the products they produce, and it shows, because people are still buying the iPhone 11, a 3 year old phone (I don't hear anyone talking about the pixel 4) all of these other phone companies are following in apples footsteps solely for profit. To drive this point even further, look at apple's stores, they have "Apple Geniuses" who help you with any apple related issue, for free even if there is no repair required, no other phone company is popular for this kind of customer service. In brief, Apple cares about what they create, they innovate, they are genuine, they are unique. Other phone companies like google or Samsung just copy their features because they don't care about the products they create, or their customer base, they just want to make them profitable, which is why I would rather have even an iPhone 7 rather than the newest pixel. And to go back to the tesla v Chrysler comparison, tesla is genuine, unique, innovative, compare that to Chrysler's electric vehicle, the "Airflow", which tries as hard as it can to be a tesla, full white interior, many screens, etc. I would rather buy an old model S than own that Chrysler, because I know that tesla actually cares about the products they products and about their customers, unlike Chrysler who cares solely about profit. It is rare to find a company that actually cares about the products they put out, and I would rather support these companies (even if it comes at a higher price), than to buy phones from Samsung or google, who simply copy apple's features and put it in their phones because they don't care enough to be innovative or unique.

USB c has faster data transfer speeds and can charge your phone faster
wireless charging is slow, but you are right. If you have a charger, you carry the charger. It is simple, I feel CZcams reviews have influenced people's minds. people bought phones based on their requirement and preferences... but now every phone needs a USB c, 2K-4K screen and 120 hz refresh rate? why? What do most people do that requires these features.
