    I just picked up two of these outta curiosoty and, unfortunately, I've found more diecast to collect! I like them for what they are. Pretty darn cool IMO.

    They're kinda cool, bought one just out of curiosity. Bought the Poison Ivy as it reminds me to some American muscle cars. They were selling for the same price as Hot Wheels in this particular store I went to. Unfortunate the don't release licensed vehicles.

    • @fexdeth
      @fexdeth  Před 4 lety +2

      Yes these are cool but as you said they are more of a fantasy version of known licensed cars, I think as a competitor to Mattel and other brands they are doing a great job, they look good and they are fast on tracks, the name is the only part that confuses me as they are more plastic

    They’re worth buying but not as good as hot wheels or matchbox. I tested their durability and using a tough hot wheels track a zuru was destroyed in 20 minutes while the hot wheels stayed sturdy. Hot wheels are also more detailed and have more metal. The Zurus are often faster than some hot wheels in drops but after a while of running the poor axles are slowly beat by the better hot wheels and matchbox. The hot wheels and matchbox also have more variation. The Zurus are all similar speeds and can’t compete with the extra fast hot wheels as there’s not enough difference in the Zurus in weight and wheels. Side note: some hot wheels have detailed interiors too, especially the older ones.

    • @fexdeth
      @fexdeth  Před 5 lety +3

      Awesome Im glad you gave them a really good test, I was going to use the wheels for customs but knowing they fade out in speed I will find better wheels. They are no way as good as Hot Wheels or Matchbox but they are on the right track for making something really good, I think once they get licensed cars they will become popular but until they they are for parts or kids

  • @FlamingBeat

    It's not they are better than Hot Wheels, Majorette, Tomica, Siku, Matchbox or any other diecast models. But they can compete and can be a good alternative, considering their cheap price and good quality along with the designs, it's absolutely a great choice to buy and collect them along with the infamous diecast models. I just bought one of these, which is a military jeep/truck, I don't know its name but underneath its body it says something like "UKCA" but I know it has its own name (probably)

    I'm thinking that Match box is superior then the hotwheels from Mattel I don't think a plastic body and frame would be on Mattel fantasy castings

    • @fexdeth
      @fexdeth  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes Matchbox does make nicer cars, Hot Wheels and Matchbox both use plastic bodies on a lot of their castings :)

  • @bentandre5524
    @bentandre5524 Před 5 lety +2

    plastic bodies can be really detailed if you look at the HO scale, which is 1:87 of wiking. herpa and others. i guess the zurus are nice for parts, like wheel donors, glass, chromeparts and interiors....i dont like the non licensed stuff from hotwheels, because matchbox has nice non licensed cars like the rock shocker and so on. the zurus are cheaper but not for my collection and i dont like hws toilet or bubble blowing and bottle openers either...but youve got an interesting topic so tanks for your vid.

    • @fexdeth
      @fexdeth  Před 5 lety

      Thanks, the main question was whether they were any good, I guess that using them for parts is probably where most of them are going, the blue Chevelle looking one is very cool though and will buy all the colours of it, other than that they are great for kids and parents who want something within a decent price range, Matchbox is the King of fantasy cars for sure

  • @andrewphippsphillips1455

    I have just one, a green based orange bodied GT sports racer that looks vaguely like a Porsche/Toyota/Audi Le Mans type LMP GT1 car with a dorsal/spinal fin between wing and cabin. A bit of a search and I gather its called "Escape". There is also a red bodied one with probably a blue base...
    Considering its not an official car, it was only part of a job lot with a load of Hot Wheels efforts.
