The love that woman has for that dog is so beautiful.
And the love of the dog by not running towards her to protect her from the bear.
That was purely a fear response on her part similar to running around on fire instead of dropping and rolling. This was not her being courageous and making a conscious decision.

😂😂 i thought women said they prefer a bear. And lo behold 3 bears all to herself. And what did she do?😂😂
Facts. I said the same exact thing. Why did she flee?
...but notice how both of them lived to tell the tale? 😅 Wonder what the headline on the opposite end would've been...
When they say they would rather be alone with a bear in the forest than a man, it doesn't mean they wanna go up and hug a bear. It means they feel they'll come out alive and safe out of that forest if it was a bear rather than a man. This video proves that yeah, she'd be fine with a bear. Now, imagine if it were 3 random men lurking in her driveway. That's way scarier.
I would have gotten safe in the house and went looking for the dog once the bears had been gone a long time. Dogs have far better ability to survive a bear attack and likely will get away just fine. There IS a difference between a human life and an animal life. Sometimes we have to protect human life first.
Indeed
Yes... Finally a smart comment. The bear could have killed them both.... And this has happened a fair amount of times. The dog had a better chance.... But the lady was way too far from her door. Never would made it back. If they were very hungry..... Would have turned out differently.

A black bear won’t out run a shepherd .
Eh, for a 6 year old dog, probably could. Top speed for a GSD is going to be like 28mph or so, but that would be a young dog in really good shape and trained for it. More realistically around 20mph, while a black bear can go about 30mph.
Absolutely incorrect a black bear can run 35 mph for at least 2 miles. A young, fit, perfectly bred working line German shepherd (which the dog in the video is not) with no health problems can run 30 to 35 mph but only for 100 yards. The bear could have easily caught the dog.
