I am a fan of both. I think Samuel Adams was more of a firebrand, and so, especially during the revolution, his story is a bit more intense, but John Adams is obviously still quite interesting.

I'm a Thomas Jefferson fan... Adam's paid the ottoman pirates tribute... Jefferson stated millions in defense before a penny in tribute... thus running against Adams
I'm not one or the other, i appreciate things that both did for the nation that were very important, and also recognize things both did that i believe were not the best option for our young nation. However, it's really easy to armchair quarterback the situation now, hundreds of years after it happened.
