I’ve literally watched thousands of car fixin videos on CZcams. Everyone does things differently. Thankfully! Just continue to do things your way and screw the critics. A wise man once told me: “It’s not about the mistakes you make, it’s how well you fix em! Or at least cover them up!”

There’s always someone that will criticize. What I’ve seen so far ,you are a awesome mechanic. You have your ways others have theirs. There are things I would do differently than you. That doesn’t mean your way or mine is wrong. Sometimes it’s what works for you. But remember, every comment, even negative one helps the channel . Keep up the good work . With the cars and the parenting.

Great job with all your episodes. I like how you're laid-back, don't over-explain and how your subtle humor comes through. Lots of great encouragement from others in comments! So for future episodes hold your ground for doing the process that works for you. If you anticipate flack, try "for those of you who are new around here... detailing will come at the very end of restoration, once I know xxx. Not everyone will agree but that's how I roll.") You may need to repeat it periodically. I like to see you doing what you love rather than you stressing to appease a few. 😊 Looking fwd to the next episode!!

The right applications of the right rust inhibitors should allow cars to sit like the Navy mothball fleets and outdoor museum displays. My favorites are Carnauba spray wax, almost everywhere, and high temperature silicone to protect those brake springs and exhaust.
And perhaps either silicone brake fluid or plenty of brake assembly lube, or maybe they'll invent a brake fluid that can sit longer.
