Nice order, it’s really cool to see how some folks would play this game. I personally always played in order, but the idea of playing a different way to acquire trucks is a good idea as well for folks have issues with harder maps
I played at first in Michigan only then I jumped to taimyr to get the better vehicles (tatarin, tayga 6436) then back to michigan and I visit every now and then another area when I have enough of Michigan

Way I see it, it's a shame you have trucks like the FEMM in a region where that kind of grunt isn't really needed. Now that we have all the content and can play it any order, why not pick and choose if you want to do hard regions or easy regions at any given time, or poach trucks for use elsewhere?
@@Bigger_boot to be honest i already been there, but just repair bridge to the port and scout a little bit because really want some upgrades for starter trucks like special V12 engine (as i remember it was V12. Can make a mistake here). But i`m trying to finish Michigan first and then fully play Alaska. It`s pretty cool
@@TheToxicDriftalaska is dope. Are you playing through whilst collecting the trucks as you go, or are you doing the regions differently? I hopped around myself, typically explored whilst trying to unlock other trucks to use in Michigan. A fast way to lvl up and get more dollah is to join your friends sessions as well. Not sure if you’ve got it, but the Navistar is a pretty good truck to start with, and there’s an anniversary pack you can get with the big tatra truck, and that bad boy comes with AWD and Diff lock pre installed. 🎉

I`m trying to use different trucks but my favourites for now is ANK Civilian and International Paystar 5070. I know about problems with ANK gas tank and overall stability but this thing is something. I dont have DLC with Navistar unfortunatly but i looking forward to buy it maybe on sale

I'd put Maine somewhere out there, yes. It's difficult for exactly the reasons you mentioned, and was the first map where I specifically questioned why we can't IMPROVE the area. Then started to think about what I would love to see from a map or game that really embellishes on starting in a ruined map and rebuilding it step by step. Everything you do will improve the region. From getting roads built to getting main ones paved, rebuilding industries and automating their supply chains, to building weak bridges at first and having to strengthen them for heavier trucks, to clearing debris and removing flooded landscapes, even having to take time for things to finish. Would be interesting to really work on having a more immersive world that you have more of an impact on.
I've got about 300h in this game. Started late, though (like, last year, after getting my PS5) direct in Hard Mode. I'm loving it! I just bought the Season 1 maps, in order to get the AWD for GMC (firts truck in the normal game). I just decided to go in the order you proposed in the video. Thanks for the tip!

This is the 5th video of yours I have watched and I am learning a lot of how this game works and I am excited to tackle more areas. I am still in Michigan cause I have only been playing for a week but with all the information I have gotten from you I will blaze thru the rest of the regions. Thank you!
In my opinion, after you finish the first three regions, jump to Br. Columbia to get the Kenworth, because it's the new best logging truck in the game and complete the region and with that money, buy the Azov 73210. That one is the best logging truck for icy areas because it can have chained tires. Kenworth and Azov can both carry long logs AND have the crane, so you don't have to pay to load the logs and they can both carry two medium logs. The Kenworth even has room for the crane too while doing so. Next, it doesn't matter which region you choose. But before you move on, go on and buy the Mastodon, and the International Paystar 1700. It's the best hauler and the best scout respectively. I used to go straight for the 605R, but the process of unlocking it is too grindy and it's a difficult map. Now we have the Mastodon, which can only be bought and the problem is solved. So now you have the best truck for general work, the best logging trucks, and the two best scouts. The Tatarin, which can be used in maps with no ice to reveal any watchtower and the 1700 which can be used in maps with ice.
I'm currently on Maine, though I'm doing them in order. Maine is just tedious and hard to stick to. Amur was just hell but I managed to get the main missions done and only left a few of the most annoying side jobs. Amur requires thinking outside the box just to complete missions, that 8 slot rocket trailer, guess what it won't dump, don't be afraid to detach it and drag it via winch with the 605R through a few spots. Getting the 605R is incredibly hard by itself, took half a day of very carefully planned work to open up the path to it and still took 3 of my best trucks to rescue it. And getting the 605R is essential, the hardest missions in Amur are impossible with any other truck in single player
Agreed, as it is now, the world feels UNFATHOMABLY empty. Playing through Ontario right now, the "fires" aren't even burning, you just get a little bit of audio and maybe some sparks if you run over certain fallen trees
To get the amaratsu, I parkour between the trees near the rock blocked road near the gas station with the tatarin and then yeeted of the cliff with it and took it to the garage. As for the bridge connecting the area next to it, people can use the mod ramp military trucks. To me in Maine my sus area was taking the materials uphill to the watch tower to build. And made a huge jenga tower with the materials to fix all the bridges on the second map, plus it came with a glowing field kinda like the one on the downhill map at mudrunners as my favorite area of the map to chill.
Playing in Wisconsin right now after blitzing Kola and Yukon for upgrades. Wisconsin taught me to manual load, and how to do it effectively. The rail contract calls for 12 metal beams, which would take at least 3 trips using the superheavy trailer. However, with manual loading, I fit all 12 metal beams on the wide flatbed semi-trailer and did it in 1 trip. Then my brain had a funny moment, and I calculated the approximate weight of all 12 metal beams. Needless to say, it was a lot.
Me on the contrary consider the forklift very useful. Many players don't really use the Cargo Dock of their Garages, they go from point to point on each mission (go to the factory, load the stuff and then deliver the goods), but instead during many comeback trips you can bring goods to the garage and there process the cargo for the next missions ahead, and the forklift is much better to unload and load cargos from trailers than a crane.
I never understood piling up cargo in the garage. Extra movements... Usually it's easier to drive to the destination from the warehouse than from the garage.
I try to line up missions that compliment each other. Missions where I can get all the cargo at the same time and finish one mission on the way to another
Having played in order of release, and just finished Amur and now am in Don, I agree with this order. The Kenworth and Derry Special would be great to have earlier.
Great order for ease of use and best results, I had not considered looking this up so I went to amur right after taymir on hard mode and man it took a long time and a lot of hard miles to finish. I figured I go to amur to get zik 605r and the active suspension for azov 73210. You do get a good bit of money. Doing winsconsin now but I'll use this as a good path to follow.
Personally I'd flip Glades and Amur. Doing Glades first nets you the tractors, both of which have good utility adds ons. Combined with the big CATs you can make repair and resupply points anywhere in Amur for those long hauls. Otherwise yea, thats a solid list. Maybe delve into Maine early to pick up the Forester to make medium logs less agrivating but yea, the Tayga you get for doing most of Maine ain't worth the hassle so last is a good place for it.
I play multiple regions at once, to keep things interesting. If I'm bored of one region, I can switch to another, then go back to the previous one. Right now I play Michigan, Alaska, Taymyr, Kola Peninsula and I went to British Columbia to get the 963, also went to Wisconsin to get the P512 and Yukon for the two Caterpillar vehicles (I really just wanted to drive the 770g, lol), but I'm not doing missions in these regions yet
the downside of such approach is that you either have to constantly recover all your trucks, or just leave them and buy new ones. Eventually you are either out of trucks or out of money.
As somebody who spent close to 1000 hours in this game and I play it quite regularly. I think this video is perfect for new players and even slightly experience players if they’re looking to start again and enjoy the game for everything that it offers.👍👌
Hey im considering buying this game, but theres so many damn dlcs and I kinda dont wanna spend so much (atleast not right of the bat). Do they all just add maps and trucks? Can I skip them and still have a good time?
@just_a_sushi are you on xbox? Reason I'm saying this is because snowrunner is In the gamepass, if not just buy the standard game and start by playing the 3 regions and after that you can progress to buy each region individually over time
This game just never ends does it? I got the game for free on ps plus and it comes with all the regions shown in this video. The mod store is another whole library in itself that makes the game that much more vast. I'm not sure about the maps but all the vehicles require in game money to purchase so you still have to grind to buy those vehicles.
Interesting approach, and since I'm replaying the game from the start, I wanted to give it a try. I have to say though that I find the Yukon map way too hard, and I jumped it! I was frustrated during my first try, years ago, but now even with money to spare and most likely every truck in the game, I find it still impossible to play and way too challenging. I'm now playing the Ontario map, which I absolutely love.
Agree with the whole bridge rant in Maine about not being able to fix them or clear most of rockslides. Imandra in Kola Peninsula has a few main bridges like that too that can’t be fixed, which is funny because the loading screen for Imandra literally shows 2 trucks and a crane fixing one of the said bridges.
I would really recommend to go to Amur early in the game, maybe as a 3rd or 4th map. Getting the Zikz 605R on Kosmodrome felt super rewarding after all the work and it still is my go to truck for pretty much everything. Very informative video though 👍🏻
I just got this game a month ago when it is was free on PS extra and it’s one of the most fun game I’ve played. I finished Michigan and Alaska (except for logging missions) and almost halfway through taymyr. Now I’m deciding if and what DLC’s I should buy 😁
I recently got this game and although i haven't completed the first 3 areas yet, i did indeed get the Kenworth because i saw it in the store and wanted it! I'm still learning the game and all its little details and have visited kola which was amazing to see, very different in terms of its barren-ness. I like the way there is pretty much never a jack-of-all-trades vehicle but the Kenworth is my go to (after a week of playing, i'm on one of the modded kenworths which fixes the load on the front axle and decent torque engine upgrade). Thanks for this list, i'll use it moving forward.
You forgot to mention Azov 42-20. That thing helped me a lot until I got zikz 605r. It really can go through almost anything ... And you can hook up the ramped flatbed trailer and get 6 cargo slots.... Only downside I can remember is that it's tall and can roll over easily...
I bounced around a lot between the 3 base regions, just about done with Taymyr finally, and Kola is the only DLC region I’ve been to so far and that was just to get the AWD upgrade for the GMC MH9500 when I was still trying to get started, and I think I’ll still go in order but this would be a good strategy too
I like the idea of going around in scouts first, from map to map, unlocking all the trucks, and getting all the upgrades and watchtowers, then going back and doing all the big truck missions. Ideally do the intro missions, get to tymr, unlock the first tyga, the DAN, and the Armoured personnel carrier, then start scouting every map with the APC..
I have a simple reason for the order I do the regions in early in the game. Regions will be fun or frustrating depending on whether you have good equipment for the type of terrain, so I spend the earlier part of the game focusing on getting trucks and upgrades I want to use. Those are in specific regions, so that decides the order I do the regions in. For example, I wanted to be able to use the Voron AE and the Tayga since they're very capable and fun in a lot of places. So, I went to Scandinavia very early and easily got the Voron AE (along with the Burlak, a great scout and repair vehicle). However, Voron AE and Tayga need to be upgraded with the best engine and raised suspension and the biggest wheels. So, I went to Taymyr for upgrades (and for the Tayga itself). However, before they are upgraded, those trucks are frustrating to use in Taymyr. So I used the Zikz 612H, which made Taymyr easy and fun. While doing that, I could also get the Tatarin. At that point, I had at least five great trucks I could use in many regions, and I continued to choose regions based on additional trucks and upgrades I wanted. After choosing regions this way for a while, I soon had a great fleet. I could have more fun and less frustration anywhere. Then I could choose where to go for other reasons.
I start in Michigan jump to tamyr catch Tayga. Even easier in glades then to Wisconsin build some bridges, then do some easy peacy mission gets som shitloads with money and exp. Then over to amur, collect Zizk 605. With some practice you do this under 3-4 Hours. Then over to glades and collect Pike. Then over to Ontario get the Zikz 566. Special Diarria can keep on sleeping. The back to Michigan to some chill trucking. You should zon ve at Level 14 at this level you have undlocked Chains. Have fun

I play the first map until level 12, then I play taymir russia to unlock the tatarin and the tayga. Then I go unlock burlak 6x6 then I go straight to unlocking the ziks 605. After you got the zik, tatarin, and burlak you can literally go anywhere. It's my second playthrough
I recently started playing Maine and done all to unlock garage and Tayga 6455B and now I came across this video and It is very true that maine is an annoying region and even after going through Amur you still feel that it is more difficult than Amur.
hmmm Yukon is harder that: Belozersk Glades, Ontario... The routes to the mine are not pleasant, there are some places with ice, you have to drag yourself a few times through the mud near the river, driving on some slopes is difficult (it's easy to tip over). Probably for later. There are no interesting trucks to unlock either.
I'm playing Ontario currently after finishing BC and three base regions, I'd suggest that Ontario is easier than Yukon having briefly visited Yukon before going to BC.
maybe im late for that subject but clearly you should do the concrete directly on metal method and maybe polyethylene on top of concrete to repel most water from it

I agree about Maine, man, this region is really annoying on second map(topography), same about tedious contracts. I rly got tired completing this one. I believe that this's reasonable order for HM mode.
Is it worth making a second save game to do this order, i already nearly finished Michigan on my other one and have done a bit on a lot of other regions.

Biggest difficulty in amur is this fucking tree stump on the way to the steel mill. I can't count how many times i got stuck there or flipped my cargo because of that XD
after Original Region I went to Kola Peninsula even I got all trucks from original region it so suffered and then I stop playing snowrunner for months after finished 100% in Kola now I came to British Colombia It's very fun beautiful and more enjoyable.
Did the same,played them in order and Kola was a real pain. Told myself "if every DLC region is that hard, I give up..." Luckily, next ones weren't that painful ^^
If i wanna start to do some of the logging contracts do u need a logging crane to load a medium trailer? I have started to do the logging missions in Michigan and for some reson i couldent autoload the trailer with medium logs. Luckily i hade a crane on the truck so it wasent an issue but do u need to position the trailer better or is it just not possable to autoload a medium trailer.
I don't really get it about Kenworth. It looks like a very mighty truck. But it doesn't pull well. I'm having issues with towing other trucks and even without any load on a medium slope it goes VERY slowly and sometimes just get stuck like not enough power to keep going. I think I installed the most powerful engine. But still very bad performance on slopes. I thought MAYBE it's the case for those offroad gearboxes with its low gears. But it doesn't change a thing. It would be still ok if it could climb a slope but very slowly on LOW- gear, but it just gets stuck. And I'm not talking about anything extreme. Just medium slopes where every other truck goes ok. But if terrain is flat, it cruise through the mud like a knife through butter.
Got to Yukon, skipping that region, grabbed the upgrades and left. Not fun at all. I mean the pay is good, but delivering stuff in an overloaded Kenworth *ten times over* (I'd estimate) just to do that one gold mine contract is not fun. Couple that with the whole crafting thing and needing an offroad truck to grab bricks from old houses. Nah, not for me, or at least, I'm leaving it until last.
I will do this order when i bought all the region maps Right now i own 1-year pass maps Renew and rebuild (because I need Derry special) I will buy build and dispatch for the tatra Haul and hustle for aramatsu Forester Alternate if I change my mind Public energy for Kenworth and the god of snowrunner the femm
Reasonable List (340 Hours Playtime myself... now on my 2nd Play through with the 612H at the start in Michigan ^^ 612H is in my opinion the best paid DLC and it gives the 605R... hahaha just kidding... 605R is still the King... but the 612H is not far behind...) Cheers...
I play this game using numerious what I'd personally refer to as realist mod's. Once I had a handle on how to play I set my goal's on getting and updating the AZOV 73210. Using only two totally update of them one with a low and one with a high fifth wheel in addition to an upgrade Yar. I played the entire game at 100% Using only them. When the new DLC came our, I started a new play through starting in Michigan, but utilzed two of the MASATDON's". It's not a matter of having a lot of different truck's. It's a matter of having a couple that can do everything.
This order is for The normal way? I started a hard mode New game, when season 9 come, and i complete all contracts & tasks on these maps = michigan, ontorio, Maine, koala island, amur, now working on yukon, but i was complete some Jobs to get Free trucks & scouts in Alaska, taymir, don, wisconsin So, yukon is pretty hard for Fuel is very expensive, need good mud trucks, a lot of cargo need to deliver, good scouts need for mud & rocks, so i would let at final maps... A Mention is i started in Asia s8, not so hard but boring contracts, like is a big map and they want to deliver some cargo from one Point to another far distance Point... i don't see any challenge, In Asia, in institute map is FREE FUEL, 🎉great for hard mode... Off course, need a task to be completed 😊

Wow, someone actually shares an opinion on Maine with me. Annoying and imo very grindy. Also, as a season, it didn't add that much new to the game, because main focus of it was logging... AGAIN, after Season 3 was also about it. I jumped in chair when i finally did 100% in Maine and jumped straight into Tennessee with a relief.
I think Maine should be played very early, because both the Tayga B and the Aramatsu are very useful trucks. The earlier you unlock them - the better. Also the Kola should be played very early because of the radar trailer. The game introduces you to it. Personally, I played mostly in order. Grabbed the Tayga and the Aramatsu from Maine before Wisconsin, because it has a lot of logs. Then I played the newly released Tennessee, and after that I finished Wisconsin and moved to Maine fully. Then I played Don and Amur was the last. Finished all the game 100% before Season 8 dropped. Since then, I play in order again.
My second map pack was Amur. Went there with the Michigan tracks. Best decision I had in this game. Going to later seasons, getting the good tracks and then do Amur and Kola is simply ruining the game imo. It is the worst advice you can give to a new player.
1-Michigan (100%) 2-Alaska (100%) 3-Taymyr (100%) 4-Kola (Ford F750 and all upgrades in map) 5-British Columbia (100%) 6-Ontario (100%) 7-North Carolina (100%) The rest is optional
Man I have made a big mistake so instead of me waiting for all DLC'S so I can choose what one I want I started to buy each season that came out instead of waiting because I was very excited now because I did that and it was abit expensive my dad said he won't but me anymore DLC'S just because I have spend a lot of his money on DLC'S and all other DLC'S after Amur map it's really cheap (e.g Amur was £15 and I really wanted because of ZIKZ 605R because I thought it was way better than Azov 64131) and then I asked my dad for the season after that and well... He said no because I have already got too many expensive DLC'S so I really regret my decision I should of waited and choose the right DLC'S
Season 6 is goddamn hard, even Azov trucks get stuck, are motionless or simply travel too slow, it was most boring, and I went crazy how shitty season 6 was for me

To me, playing in order is a little bit difficult. I feel that Lake Kovd and Imandra are too difficult to go into right after the first 3.

Agreed, as it is now, the world feels UNFATHOMABLY empty. Playing through Ontario right now, the "fires" aren't even burning, you just get a little bit of audio and maybe some sparks if you run over certain fallen trees
To get the amaratsu, I parkour between the trees near the rock blocked road near the gas station with the tatarin and then yeeted of the cliff with it and took it to the garage. As for the bridge connecting the area next to it, people can use the mod ramp military trucks. To me in Maine my sus area was taking the materials uphill to the watch tower to build. And made a huge jenga tower with the materials to fix all the bridges on the second map, plus it came with a glowing field kinda like the one on the downhill map at mudrunners as my favorite area of the map to chill.
Playing in Wisconsin right now after blitzing Kola and Yukon for upgrades. Wisconsin taught me to manual load, and how to do it effectively. The rail contract calls for 12 metal beams, which would take at least 3 trips using the superheavy trailer. However, with manual loading, I fit all 12 metal beams on the wide flatbed semi-trailer and did it in 1 trip.
Then my brain had a funny moment, and I calculated the approximate weight of all 12 metal beams. Needless to say, it was a lot.

Me on the contrary consider the forklift very useful. Many players don't really use the Cargo Dock of their Garages, they go from point to point on each mission (go to the factory, load the stuff and then deliver the goods), but instead during many comeback trips you can bring goods to the garage and there process the cargo for the next missions ahead, and the forklift is much better to unload and load cargos from trailers than a crane.

I never understood piling up cargo in the garage. Extra movements... Usually it's easier to drive to the destination from the warehouse than from the garage.
I try to line up missions that compliment each other. Missions where I can get all the cargo at the same time and finish one mission on the way to another
Having played in order of release, and just finished Amur and now am in Don, I agree with this order. The Kenworth and Derry Special would be great to have earlier.
Great order for ease of use and best results, I had not considered looking this up so I went to amur right after taymir on hard mode and man it took a long time and a lot of hard miles to finish. I figured I go to amur to get zik 605r and the active suspension for azov 73210. You do get a good bit of money. Doing winsconsin now but I'll use this as a good path to follow.
Personally I'd flip Glades and Amur. Doing Glades first nets you the tractors, both of which have good utility adds ons. Combined with the big CATs you can make repair and resupply points anywhere in Amur for those long hauls. Otherwise yea, thats a solid list. Maybe delve into Maine early to pick up the Forester to make medium logs less agrivating but yea, the Tayga you get for doing most of Maine ain't worth the hassle so last is a good place for it.
I play multiple regions at once, to keep things interesting. If I'm bored of one region, I can switch to another, then go back to the previous one. Right now I play Michigan, Alaska, Taymyr, Kola Peninsula and I went to British Columbia to get the 963, also went to Wisconsin to get the P512 and Yukon for the two Caterpillar vehicles (I really just wanted to drive the 770g, lol), but I'm not doing missions in these regions yet
the downside of such approach is that you either have to constantly recover all your trucks, or just leave them and buy new ones. Eventually you are either out of trucks or out of money.
As somebody who spent close to 1000 hours in this game and I play it quite regularly. I think this video is perfect for new players and even slightly experience players if they’re looking to start again and enjoy the game for everything that it offers.👍👌
Hey im considering buying this game, but theres so many damn dlcs and I kinda dont wanna spend so much (atleast not right of the bat). Do they all just add maps and trucks? Can I skip them and still have a good time?
@just_a_sushi are you on xbox? Reason I'm saying this is because snowrunner is In the gamepass, if not just buy the standard game and start by playing the 3 regions and after that you can progress to buy each region individually over time

This game just never ends does it? I got the game for free on ps plus and it comes with all the regions shown in this video. The mod store is another whole library in itself that makes the game that much more vast. I'm not sure about the maps but all the vehicles require in game money to purchase so you still have to grind to buy those vehicles.
Do you recommend hard mode for new players, or new game plus ?
Interesting approach, and since I'm replaying the game from the start, I wanted to give it a try. I have to say though that I find the Yukon map way too hard, and I jumped it! I was frustrated during my first try, years ago, but now even with money to spare and most likely every truck in the game, I find it still impossible to play and way too challenging. I'm now playing the Ontario map, which I absolutely love.
Agree with the whole bridge rant in Maine about not being able to fix them or clear most of rockslides.
Imandra in Kola Peninsula has a few main bridges like that too that can’t be fixed, which is funny because the loading screen for Imandra literally shows 2 trucks and a crane fixing one of the said bridges.
I would really recommend to go to Amur early in the game, maybe as a 3rd or 4th map. Getting the Zikz 605R on Kosmodrome felt super rewarding after all the work and it still is my go to truck for pretty much everything. Very informative video though 👍🏻

I just got this game a month ago when it is was free on PS extra and it’s one of the most fun game I’ve played. I finished Michigan and Alaska (except for logging missions) and almost halfway through taymyr. Now I’m deciding if and what DLC’s I should buy 😁
In my opinion, the one and only DLC truck worth paying for is Zikz 612H, all others are worthless.
I recently got this game and although i haven't completed the first 3 areas yet, i did indeed get the Kenworth because i saw it in the store and wanted it! I'm still learning the game and all its little details and have visited kola which was amazing to see, very different in terms of its barren-ness.
I like the way there is pretty much never a jack-of-all-trades vehicle but the Kenworth is my go to (after a week of playing, i'm on one of the modded kenworths which fixes the load on the front axle and decent torque engine upgrade).

You forgot to mention Azov 42-20. That thing helped me a lot until I got zikz 605r. It really can go through almost anything ... And you can hook up the ramped flatbed trailer and get 6 cargo slots.... Only downside I can remember is that it's tall and can roll over easily...
I bounced around a lot between the 3 base regions, just about done with Taymyr finally, and Kola is the only DLC region I’ve been to so far and that was just to get the AWD upgrade for the GMC MH9500 when I was still trying to get started, and I think I’ll still go in order but this would be a good strategy too
i really wish they would revisit Tennessee it has such potential
I like the idea of going around in scouts first, from map to map, unlocking all the trucks, and getting all the upgrades and watchtowers, then going back and doing all the big truck missions.
Ideally do the intro missions, get to tymr, unlock the first tyga, the DAN, and the Armoured personnel carrier, then start scouting every map with the APC..
I love that you play the game as it is meant to be...WITH OUT MODS!
What's wrong with using mods unless they're overpowered
I have a simple reason for the order I do the regions in early in the game. Regions will be fun or frustrating depending on whether you have good equipment for the type of terrain, so I spend the earlier part of the game focusing on getting trucks and upgrades I want to use. Those are in specific regions, so that decides the order I do the regions in.
For example, I wanted to be able to use the Voron AE and the Tayga since they're very capable and fun in a lot of places. So, I went to Scandinavia very early and easily got the Voron AE (along with the Burlak, a great scout and repair vehicle). However, Voron AE and Tayga need to be upgraded with the best engine and raised suspension and the biggest wheels. So, I went to Taymyr for upgrades (and for the Tayga itself). However, before they are upgraded, those trucks are frustrating to use in Taymyr. So I used the Zikz 612H, which made Taymyr easy and fun. While doing that, I could also get the Tatarin. At that point, I had at least five great trucks I could use in many regions, and I continued to choose regions based on additional trucks and upgrades I wanted. After choosing regions this way for a while, I soon had a great fleet. I could have more fun and less frustration anywhere. Then I could choose where to go for other reasons.

I start in Michigan jump to tamyr catch Tayga. Even easier in glades then to Wisconsin build some bridges, then do some easy peacy mission gets som shitloads with money and exp. Then over to amur, collect Zizk 605. With some practice you do this under 3-4 Hours.
Then over to glades and collect Pike.
Then over to Ontario get the Zikz 566. Special Diarria can keep on sleeping.
The back to Michigan to some chill trucking. You should zon ve at Level 14 at this level you have undlocked Chains.

I play the first map until level 12, then I play taymir russia to unlock the tatarin and the tayga. Then I go unlock burlak 6x6 then I go straight to unlocking the ziks 605. After you got the zik, tatarin, and burlak you can literally go anywhere. It's my second playthrough
I finished Michigan Alaska and Tennessee started Russia and and halfway through season 8 I’ve been bouncing all over the place lol

I recently started playing Maine and done all to unlock garage and Tayga 6455B and now I came across this video and It is very true that maine is an annoying region and even after going through Amur you still feel that it is more difficult than Amur.
hmmm Yukon is harder that: Belozersk Glades, Ontario... The routes to the mine are not pleasant, there are some places with ice, you have to drag yourself a few times through the mud near the river, driving on some slopes is difficult (it's easy to tip over). Probably for later. There are no interesting trucks to unlock either.
I'm playing Ontario currently after finishing BC and three base regions, I'd suggest that Ontario is easier than Yukon having briefly visited Yukon before going to BC.

maybe im late for that subject but clearly you should do the concrete directly on metal method and maybe polyethylene on top of concrete to repel most water from it

While in Kola you can just use big Cat as it is much better than Kenworth. After all, it is pretty easy to get in Alaska.
I agree about Maine, man, this region is really annoying on second map(topography), same about tedious contracts. I rly got tired completing this one. I believe that this's reasonable order for HM mode.

Biggest difficulty in amur is this fucking tree stump on the way to the steel mill. I can't count how many times i got stuck there or flipped my cargo because of that XD

after Original Region I went to Kola Peninsula even I got all trucks from original region it so suffered and then I stop playing snowrunner for months after finished 100% in Kola now I came to British Colombia It's very fun beautiful and more enjoyable.
Did the same,played them in order and Kola was a real pain.
Told myself "if every DLC region is that hard, I give up..."

If i wanna start to do some of the logging contracts do u need a logging crane to load a medium trailer? I have started to do the logging missions in Michigan and for some reson i couldent autoload the trailer with medium logs. Luckily i hade a crane on the truck so it wasent an issue but do u need to position the trailer better or is it just not possable to autoload a medium trailer.
No you don't need the crane unless is specifically tells you that you need one.
As a new player Im finding this order to be vefy workable. Granted I yend not to 100 percent regions before moving on.
I can confirm Maine is realistic, honestly the DOT repaves roads that are perfectly fine, and never touches the complete shit roads

It's weird, I find Imandra more difficult than Amur...by a good margin actually.
I don't really get it about Kenworth. It looks like a very mighty truck. But it doesn't pull well. I'm having issues with towing other trucks and even without any load on a medium slope it goes VERY slowly and sometimes just get stuck like not enough power to keep going. I think I installed the most powerful engine. But still very bad performance on slopes. I thought MAYBE it's the case for those offroad gearboxes with its low gears. But it doesn't change a thing. It would be still ok if it could climb a slope but very slowly on LOW- gear, but it just gets stuck. And I'm not talking about anything extreme. Just medium slopes where every other truck goes ok.
But if terrain is flat, it cruise through the mud like a knife through butter.
Got to Yukon, skipping that region, grabbed the upgrades and left.
Not fun at all. I mean the pay is good, but delivering stuff in an overloaded Kenworth *ten times over* (I'd estimate) just to do that one gold mine contract is not fun. Couple that with the whole crafting thing and needing an offroad truck to grab bricks from old houses. Nah, not for me, or at least, I'm leaving it until last.
Maine is annoying, that's for sure. It made me consider downloading some mods with mobile bridges.

I play this game using numerious what I'd personally refer to as realist mod's. Once I had a handle on how to play I set my goal's on getting and updating the AZOV 73210. Using only two totally update of them one with a low and one with a high fifth wheel in addition to an upgrade Yar. I played the entire game at 100% Using only them. When the new DLC came our, I started a new play through starting in Michigan, but utilzed two of the MASATDON's".
It's not a matter of having a lot of different truck's. It's a matter of having a couple that can do everything.
This order is for The normal way? I started a hard mode New game, when season 9 come, and i complete all contracts & tasks on these maps = michigan, ontorio, Maine, koala island, amur, now working on yukon, but i was complete some Jobs to get Free trucks & scouts in Alaska, taymir, don, wisconsin
So, yukon is pretty hard for Fuel is very expensive, need good mud trucks, a lot of cargo need to deliver, good scouts need for mud & rocks, so i would let at final maps...
A Mention is i started in Asia s8, not so hard but boring contracts, like is a big map and they want to deliver some cargo from one Point to another far distance Point... i don't see any challenge,
In Asia, in institute map is FREE FUEL, 🎉great for hard mode... Off course, need a task to be completed 😊

Wow, someone actually shares an opinion on Maine with me. Annoying and imo very grindy. Also, as a season, it didn't add that much new to the game, because main focus of it was logging... AGAIN, after Season 3 was also about it.
I jumped in chair when i finally did 100% in Maine and jumped straight into Tennessee with a relief.

I think Maine should be played very early, because both the Tayga B and the Aramatsu are very useful trucks. The earlier you unlock them - the better. Also the Kola should be played very early because of the radar trailer. The game introduces you to it.
Personally, I played mostly in order. Grabbed the Tayga and the Aramatsu from Maine before Wisconsin, because it has a lot of logs. Then I played the newly released Tennessee, and after that I finished Wisconsin and moved to Maine fully. Then I played Don and Amur was the last. Finished all the game 100% before Season 8 dropped. Since then, I play in order again.

My second map pack was Amur. Went there with the Michigan tracks.
Best decision I had in this game. Going to later seasons, getting the good tracks and then do Amur and Kola is simply ruining the game imo. It is the worst advice you can give to a new player.

Man I have made a big mistake so instead of me waiting for all DLC'S so I can choose what one I want I started to buy each season that came out instead of waiting because I was very excited now because I did that and it was abit expensive my dad said he won't but me anymore DLC'S just because I have spend a lot of his money on DLC'S and all other DLC'S after Amur map it's really cheap (e.g Amur was £15 and I really wanted because of ZIKZ 605R because I thought it was way better than Azov 64131) and then I asked my dad for the season after that and well... He said no because I have already got too many expensive DLC'S so I really regret my decision I should of waited and choose the right DLC'S
Season 6 is goddamn hard, even Azov trucks get stuck, are motionless or simply travel too slow, it was most boring, and I went crazy how shitty season 6 was for me
