Actually, that was German bunkers from WW2, before ww2 Pilchowice was named Pilchowitz and was a German terytory, the bunkers was probably build by Germans to protect The strategic point of which was a narrow-gauge line. If you went more east, you would see a newer part of the village that slowly merges with the big city next to Pilchowice - Gliwice

You've passed Polish village visitor exam 😅 I love how everyone is curious about you but they act polite as nothing special had just happened 😂 I feel this way when visiting villages but im Polish (I know the language and of course I look Polish 😊) so you've just bring it to another level! Or another demention 😂 They're like "WTF??? Why is he in Pilchowice? Ok - act cool, be kind, we have to show him Pilchowice is nice" 😅 And they talk Polish with you. No excuses like "Oh I'm sorry I know just a few words in English" 😅 Not at all, they try to treat you like a neighbour for some reason 😊 I love Polish villages ❤
I have experienced it for eg. in Mexico. People were talking to me in Spanish (it helped me a lot to know basic spanish, I'm not gonna lie) and they acted exactly the same. I love it! I felt like home 😊

I really recomend you visiting village called Świętoszów [It's about 70 kilometers from Pilchowice]. It's kinda small but we have a bunch of cool things here, also there are a lot of americans cuz there is a military unit. If you wanted to visit Świętoszów let me know so i can show you everything here:) also ur content is amazing showing other small villages

44:21 This sign is the marking of the tourist route. There was probably a map in the center of village with different routes. There are such signs and signs with arrows all around so as not to get lost. Colors should mean: Red - the main trail, Blue - long-distance route, Green - short route, Yellow - short connecting route, Black - short access road :)

Thats actually a quite interesting village. Rarely people know that it is a home to one of the most popular polish writer nowadays - Szczepan Twardoch. He's appreciated in the world of literature and well known for his books "Król" or "Drach" which also appear as a theater shows, and the laws for performing them are selling for hundreds of thousands złotych. Even posters advertising his works can be seen in the biggest polish cities, and that's good to know, that he's from Pilchowice ;) I encourage all of you to google some info about this guy and his story of why does he live there. My grandparents live there as well, so I know a little about it ;) Take care!

red trail - means the main trail.
yellow route - connecting and access routes.
blue trail - long-distance trails (long distances)
green trail - leads to characteristic places.
black trail - a short approach trail.
You found them really often especialy in highlands or mountains. In Poland, a lot of people like hiking, so on such routes you will often meet people, although not always.
Andre, come to Rybnik, i m sure you will see a lot of beautyful places and other things there.

Bro you should visit the biggest Hitler's bunker in Poland which is called: Wilczy Szaniec | Wolfsschanze | Wolf's Lair... You will be amazed of the sizes and magnitute of that place. I really recomend it 100% look this up and make a trip there. You will get amazing content out of that place. I've been there once as a kid but still that place gives me chills to this day. Hello. Love all your videos and I’m in bits watching them. I understand that Polish is very difficult language and you have done very well. Just to make it little easier for you we pronounce W as you would letter V. If you learn how to pronounce every letter you will be reading properly. You might not understand everything you read but your reading will be spot on. If you work on few letters people will understand you much easier because you are doing great. All the best.

Nice video Andre. You should visit Lublin in east of Poland. We have own beer and vodka (Perła and Stock), own snack (cebularz). Old town is really nice ( castle, old churches, museums, tourist route in underground and many nice restaurants). Is' s really underrated city

I realised it is all about our positive energy and being friendly to people rather knowing the other language. I am also proud of Polish people from the villages that even if they can't speak English they are still very open and nice to you. You are so funny when you talk to chickens omg love it!!!
