Sometimes not every frame is story related it’s just an animation choice. Also even if it did go into his spine we’ve seen that spinal injury still doesn’t stop them, you gotta disconnect the spine from the brain which requires hitting the nape however his conscience was transferred to his entire nervous system, not his brain or just the one part in his spine that got stabbed and his nape/brainstem being hit and even losing his whole brain still didn’t kill him because his conscience was no longer in his brain and wasn’t relying on the brainstem anymore so his nape was no longer his weakness

The consciousness transfer actually makes a certain amount of sense and has a basis in real-life anatomy. In certain circumstances, a person paralyzed due to spinal cord injury can regain some movement if a spinal stimulator is implanted below the injury site.
I think it would’ve been more believable/easier to accept if this was a power unique to the armored. Like maybe he’s not invincible but he’s enduring. He can be stabbed in the heart, throat, blown to hell & back but the power of the armored just won’t let him die.

My theory is that its sort of unique to the defensive traits of the armor titan Able to perform openly crazy techniques but only as a defensive measure, like the warhammer primarily using superior armor but for offenses
I mean considering the armored titan had his usual "unbreakable" armor destroyed by everything under the sun it makes sense he would have something that would make him impossibly hard to kill since otherwise he isnt very "armored" or tough at all
He's still the toughest Titan by far. He can survive the Colossal's explosion, he's immune to ODM blades, he can take a lot more than just 3 Thunder Spears, and unhardened strikes from other Titans are ineffective against him.
