    While I appreciate the channel for bring out this content... Lt. Gen Sahab has left a lot of things ambiguous and vague. It is beyond my scope of understanding to comprehend how can these people still sit around and play the victim when they abrogated the constitution and therefore come under the ambit of being traitors to the country.

      @hsj2229 Před 2 lety +33

      he didn't left anything ambiguous! he had to justify the system he eats from although knowing everything they did was evil but at the end his lavish life is all thanks to that and because their badges make them"holy cow" in Pakistan not accountable of anything he felt morally obligated to justify some major vile steps taken by his fellow! unjust hanging of bhutto(which was because Zia thought getting rid of bhutto by defaming his name as a murderer will make his vote bank go away and PPP will die instantly obviously didn't happen a person trained to guard was trying to do politics his lack of political education was clearly visible) then he justifies martial law as well and so on these are all moral obligation their loyalty is obviously in the system that makes them heroes despite being the actual villains of the country.

    Political deadlocks have been part of virtually every nations history, the only exception with Pakistan is that whenever there had been a deadlock before, the army creeped in and felt that it was responsible for "straightening" the affairs. This is more of an opportunistic mentalitly rather than a mentality fixated on "straightening" affairs, as is marketed by Gen Chishti and every other dictator. TLDR, the army is opportunistic and their opportunism has crippled our political system and constitutional institutions.

      @raufbhatti6003 Před 3 lety +7

      @@mr.rabbit8033 Thank you for labelling me as an idiot, I'd much rather be an idiot than a supporter of authoritarian regimes! :)
      To answer your question, firstly, Pakistan has seen only two elected governments complete their term. The degradation of constitutional institutions is a gradual process, not an absolute one. Case in point can be the exploitation of the judicial systems during virtually every dictatorship.
      Secondly, the establishment has and continues to maintain a firm grip over a lot of key policy issues. They have not relinquished control but have rather shared it with the political leadership. This, obviously, is an open secret. Therefore, your perogative of the army not intervening is rather incorrect.
      And yes, I agree- the political leadership after Musharraf has, to an extent, equally exploited such institutions to their benefit. This is indeed corrupt practice on their behalf. However, in my opinion, when the establishment continues to maintain a firm grip indirectly, exploitation is inevitable as the government of the day will realize that them setting the institutions "straight" will not pan out.

      Bhutto was hanged because he had made too many enemies because of his autocratic style. He had rigged in elections(he himself admitted to rigging in 24 constituencies though the claim was much higher). The rigging and government's interference was such that Bhutto's opponent in Larkana was arrested by him and released when the time for submission of papers for elections had passed. Bhutto also played favoritism with the judiciary he amended the constitution two times(ages of judges) to keep his favorite judge Yakub Ali on the top. Through this, he slighted other judges who got their revenge in the sham murder trial.

      No actually it started and still last with Pakistan army as they are the ones who want a role in the design of leadership of Pakistan. Actually our army has a dilemma that this country was created only only only for them, they are the only only only patriotic and loyal to this country and therefore are the custodian of everything in this country. This mindset is very harmful for the institution and moreover for the country.

      Leave alone COAS both Bhutto and Nawaz never selected even a peon on merit. Both appointed most junior general as Army Chief to make him work like a slave. Instead they got a master in the end and rightly so. Jaisa karo gey waisa hee bharro gey hehe
