    2012 remains my favourite year on the tennis tour. So many great matches. And Federer with the classic 90sq inch Wilson!

      Mine too. That year was just golden because the big 4 was on fire. Djokovic won Australian open, Miami, Montreal, Shanghai and Nitto finals. Nadal won Monte Carlo, Rome, Roland Garros and also played the longest slam final ever with novak at AO. Federer won Indiana Wells , Madrid ,Cincinatti, Olympic silver and Wimbledon. Murray won US open and Olympic gold , also played Wimbledon final, Miami and Shanghai finals where he lost to novak in tough battles.

    Super upload! Roger was fantastic in this match. You can count in one hand the times when Djokovic lost a a set to 0. The fact that this happened on HC, really shows what type of player Federer was, even though at 31 he was past his prime here. His FH was devastating this match. Djokovic had to wait until Federer was 37 to finally beat him here.

    No matter who has more grand slams, it’s always sublime to watch Federer play tennis 🎾 ❤️

    For all those morons saying Federer belongs to weak era, there you have that man past his prime in his 30s bageling Djokovic at his prime!

    • @incredibleXMan
      @incredibleXMan Před 2 měsíci

      I think the relative lack of grand slams in that era is a problem.

      @@incredibleXMan Yeah true, but he still reached to so many Finals and Semifinals of the biggest tournaments losing to other members of Big 4 yet beating them also! Shows how great Federer have always been competing so well against them all in their primes.

      Stfu with the prime bullshit. Making excuses for someone who doesn’t have any idea you exist

      Except he wasn’t past his “prime”. Whatever the hell that means…Federer was always Federer barring his last year and 2013 season where he was playing injured. Yeah, naturally he won more when Nadal and Nole weren’t around and the courts were faster. Nothing to do with age. Federer won more against Nadal in his later years than when he was younger. So stop with this “prime” nonsense, being a few years older doesn’t necessarily put you at a disadvantage. If not for the knee he’d still be playing.

    • @tbiliseligringoebi
      @tbiliseligringoebi Před 2 měsíci +1

      And if you really wanna put emphasis on age, Federer was barely 30 here. So hardly an old man. Thiem’s now 30…I don’t think anyone would classify him as an old player

    After 2012, Federer's running forehand often made mistakes and his racket head speed slowed down, which caused a significant decrease in forehand flexibility. The decline of forehand is the fundamental reason why Federer was unable to defeat Djokovic in the Grand Slams after 2012.

      @mantaishere Před měsícem +2

      It was his movement to that side too, which is why Djo could go to this FH and get errors from him on the run. His FH was never the same with the larger racquet, either.

    i don't sit on the fence both players are really fantastic but i simply enjoy the way federer was able to do everything well and a few extremely well i find watching n.djokovic matches mostly boring because it is all one dimensional i don't care who has more titles as others do but that is only me
