I barely play but get matched against people that just shit on me and my team 9/10 times

Last time I played CS was in 2000s (CS 1.6). I wasn't particularly great but not too bad either. I decided to try CS2, was really excited, decided I would suck it up and try to improve. But fuck, I'm 70 hours in and I'm seeing the same pattern over and over -- there's one or two killing machines on each team with 5:1 KD ratio and everybody else is just gun fodder for them. It's not fun when matchmaking is this bad or non-existent, so I'd rather do something else with my time
It's so bad that me and my friends went back to Counter Strike Source. Plus stupid system where you need to win 10 games for every map for your rank to show. Which idiot had idea like this one?
From MGE to silver 2, this is the problem with matchmaking. To win on each map 10 matches, to get a silver ranking, this is the problem. Even Legendary get a silver rank. Wtf is this shit
this sounds like proof of engagement based matchmaking, they just want you to buy skins! they want you to play and engage and make them money instead of reaching your desired rank! The game is given a matchmaking algorithm to pair you with players that can win you or lose your the game each time to keep you at 50% wr, not of equal skill!
Bots, flamers and cheats are everywhere and there is a way to detect who those players are in order to make a match easier to predict the outcome!
Halo infinite, dota 2, valorant, call of duty, overwatch 2, apex legends and league of legends are a few games that have this, its in games that have a match making system and have stores and loot boxes or skins! its evil and sinister! best to quit! Old games like mario kart 8 deluxe, counterstrike 1.6 and day of defeat + its source version do not have this issue!
Just got out of wingman (only competitive matchmaking atm for this mode), two back to back games against DMG rank next was LE ranked... I'm only in silver. How does this even happen? It makes me not even want to play competitive at all when I'm playing against people at such an enormous skill gap that I have no chance to even fight back.
I just finished my placements, got 1500 mmr. It took me around 20 games to finish them because of new players constantly being on my team and the games being nearly impossible. Throughout these 20 games I was match MVP 90% of them constantly dropping 2.0 k/d's. I have 2500 hours in csgo and was LE at my peak, switched to valorant when it came out and have been consistently radiant. The games placement system never once placed me against or with players at my skill level based off my past performances. I thought it may just put me in a semi high rank after the placements considering these stats but NOPE they just throw me at the lowest rank for seemingly no reason lmao, I don't think I've ever seen worse matchmaking in any game ever.
I have 60 hours in csgo and about 20 in cs2 yet I get matched with people with 3000+ hours. It gets to the point where I just afk until my team kicks me or the game ends, newer players are gonna drop the game turbo fast until it gets fixed.
Nothing more annoying than placing top almost every game and still losing cause the horrible match making

they give you bad team mates on purpose when on win streaks! and when on loss streaks they give you good team mates, not fair right?
it gets worse, there are cheats everywhere and this is not fair at all!
It must be intentional to bring out a MM system like this, I thought it couldn't get any worse than in CS:GO, but oh boy, I was wrong.

I believe this is due to the engagement based match making, they just want to make money! they are doing it do get people to buy stuff , not have fun, its evil and cruel!

I'm aroun 200hcsgo/2, 200h 1.6.... matchmaking It's equally bad for me, newbies or pro. Also I don't get skin cases anymore, they got banned in the Netherlands
Yes, Valve's matchmaking algorithm is completely unfair and just a bad joke. Not only in Counter Strike but also in Dota 2. In the new patch notes for Dota 2, they literally admit it and only with DotaPlus can you now also see whether the composition of the players in the current game is unfair, balanced or good. Instead of "always" generating a fair match, they decide that a game should be found as quickly as possible. Regardless of whether the game is then unfair. I can only advise everyone to boycott Valve games until they make the matchmaking fair.

Still broken. They haven't fixed anything that matters. Cheating is worse than ever and all of my matches are unwinnable. My team gets crushed every game and can barely score double digit frags collectively. Sad. CS2 is a waste of time at present.
