I was a EMG on CS:GO, then got put into 9,700ish in CS2 beta, and now I got put into 3,800. So I think a decent part of the lower elo are just players who the game hates
Update: I am now hard stuck 14999, I love this. You just queue a game thinking you'll rank up only to play on your worst map with amazing teammates while the enemy is a 5 stack :D

You should do this again once the ranks are more distributed. I have yet to get my premier rank, but we play people between 4k and 6k ranking. One game with most 6k's on the other team we beat them 13-5. then the next game the other team are 4k average and they beat us 5-13. The games at lower elo in premier are so inconsistent which is expected since it just came out. Give it like 4 months and it should be more even by then. In CSGO my 5Q was MGE. So we are not noobs but still not good. XD. Hope who ever reads this has a blessed day. Much love.

here's how broken the premier rating is on CS 2:
I was at ~2000-3000 (now 3500)
and i met 2 global elites and 1 faceit level 8, sometimes LEM, sometimes DMG, and a lot of novas
got stomped n carried.
I'm lvl 10 faceit, GE and got placed in 5K elo coz I went 10/5 in my placements playing solo.

buddy of mine have like 3k elo in csgo and ended up with 5.5k csr in cs2

istg 2000-4000 elo is harder than 6000-9000

Yea i used to be 10k in beta and even DMG in csgo but they heavily deflated the elo by alot and now i have 1.5k, and i dont think i should be placed this fucking low since the teammates i get dont even know simple crosshair placement...i guess it has something to do with the cheaters grinding the leaderboards or something

I was 13k elo in beta and i am face it lvl8. Now i got 1.6k elo in the release and after just 1 week i am now 5k elo i just did not stop winning it's ass but with time the ranking system will sort itself out. Especially with good godtier players they will rise in elo faster than the bad guys so i think it will be like that for like 2 months max approx..
The ranks haven't settled yet, there are a lot of people still with no rank, I happened to come across with a dude who was global in my 3Queue and he carried hard without rank lol
The premier ranking is a complete fuck up in my experience.
I was playing around DMG in CS:GO, got placed at ~14k in the beta, and now started at 2.5k in the full release (??)
I think Valve realized they can milk 10x more playtime from players if they are placed really low, and are forced to grind up to their real level.

i have 1000, was 6000 but at 1 point refused to win when my teammates are full of racist, toxic, homophobe and sexist players, and with that attidude still usually placed 2nd or 3rd place xd

.... I was LE when CSGO got removed, and after the calibration matches I got 1700 elo ..... I got to say that I won the 10 games after 25 games because I play solo and end up vs 5 stack 90% of the time and no one is talking or shooting in my team. But now with 22 wins, I stand proudly at 4500 elo .....

I got placed at 6k and started playing 10k-11k right off the bat and almost always the people ranked lower did better in the game. In my case, I play a lot with my friends that are kind of bad, so I dont play premier with them. I'm sure it's similar things for some other people too.
It's very strange, I think the ranks aren't super balanced and translatable yet.
I placed 6k, played with some friends that were 12k and top fragged several games in a row, felt like I was playing against bots, then I go back to solo and get steam rolled by people that are 5k or unranked. If I had to guess, valve used your CSGO rank to inform your placement in CS2 somewhat, and a lot of good faceit players are unranked or low ranked because they never play MM, got placed low and need to grind their way up.
In CS:GO I was LEM, 2,1K elo Faceit and placed 17k in premier before release. Now after the game got released I got placed with 6k premier players and also got GN2 in vertigo which me and my friend carried every single game in and got like 10/12 wins on. The system is definitely not polished at all!
@@cray-z578i think you are spot on with the fact that cs 2 is based on your csgo rank, cause i won every single placement game (10 in a row) with most of the time good stats, but i was silver in csgo cause i only plaid faceit and i got rank 1.5k elo in cs2 😂😂

Was floating GN4 to MGE in CSGO, ranked up from 8k to 12k on beta season. Got 1630 ELO this season and my best KD record of 3.0 in last win. Seems fair.

I have 4.7k (soloQ) with 3k+ hrs. It's absolutely random what you get. Sometimes the enemy or mates are silvers, sometimes they're mge's, a lot of wierd accounts (150hrs, but don't play like it, private profile, seemingly bought accounts with botted "friendliest player", "leader" etc rating) and one game you completely destroy the enemies without trying, the next game you get one clipped by a 150hrs account with 85% hs rating in the lowest rank of the game.
In my rank in matches I played matches against 11-12k players and it wasn't any different than some 4k elo matches, especially aimwise.
Exactly the same for me. 4k hours global but 4k elo rating. Guys with 800 hours hit shots they never would in cs go.
@@d.cirovic1695 I played one match yesterday and one today, both enemy teams aim was clearly above any gn rank, more like lem.
In the one I played yesterday an enemy was mocking us, told us how imbalanced the ranking system is and that he was Lem in CSGO. He finished third in the enemy team with 9 kills and 8 deaths. There were two guys clearly above him (stat- and aimwise) in what's basically a fcking silver match and their top fraggers stats were 22/4...
Is it a trust factor thing? Just broken MM and Premier? I don't know but this video doesn't resemble the reallity I'm experiencing.

I have 4,5k rating (99%) and face 5k rating people having full on executes on for example mirage. Full team smoking jungle, CT and stairs and then flashes before attacking a site. It's actually insane. In CSGO I was around MG to DMG.

i was Master Guardian in CSGO and after wining my first 10 games on Dust 2 i got ranked in Silver 2. However the enemys are still very good and i am now Silver 1 and still losing games. This feels so unbalanced and is so unmotivating :(

I'm still unranked in Premier, need 2-3 more wins. But I used to be around MGE in CSGO. But the CS2 Premier matches have been like playing against 1000-3500 play hours in CS, while having team mates with 100-500 hours. Super fun 😅

Used to be around mge in cs:go and atm we are playing 5 stack in cs2 with friends and we are around 4000elo all of us, I think because the game is so new the rank distribution isn't what it should be. In our games we are sometimes getting really difficult matches that feel almost unwinnable and then we get games that do feel completely right.
Personally I have issues with performance and it does affect my gameplay but I am patiently waiting for possible improvements in performance (AMD gpu) and of course the rank distribution needs time because a lot of the people haven't had the chance to get 10 winning matches and I see a lot of rankless players.

Also, I had 11k in beta, but got put in 6k when the game was officially out.
Idk about premier but on office I got ranked S4 and on Mirage S2. In my opinion I've definitely played better on Mirage but since nobody has a rank sometimes you go up against le, lem, supreme or even globals from csgo and I do find that difficult cause mirage was my main map in csgo and I was a stable gn3 solo there but now where I'm at barely anybody talks or is able to give decent callouts sometimes they only have 50h and I get that you don't know spots then but why are we able to play together in the first case?
you gotta wait for the ranks to even out, ofc you cant get a super high rank from placements.

I was in CSGO LEM when CS2 came out, then in beta 14k elo and now have been ranked at 4.5k elo. Sounds logical to me. Furthermore, I have already played against Faciet lvl 10 stacks in 5 to 6 k elo. It will take time until the ranks have normalized.

My peak rank on Australian region was was MG1 and in the beta I got placed around 8k. On release I went 2 losses 10 wins for my placements with the last needed for rank having people on both teams in the 12k area. The game placed me in 2100 and every game since placement has been terrible win loss returns. Some have been ok but on average it’s around 200 loss 100 win even though the teams are the same or higher elo then me, never below. Not really interested in playing much premier with these bad incentives for ranking up in the first place.

My win rate is like 52% right now and every time I escape sub 4k elo and lose a round i am hit with -500 elo. Ranks in premier do not make any sense

I was LE in GO and got placed in 4k. Most matches I curbstomp but a few I get obliterated. I sometimes get competent teammates but often get 2k hours players who play premier like deathmatch.
Ranks have by no means settled.
thats more goldnova i think. i trolled mostly in beta and got 5000 elo rating. i would say that was goldnova to master guardian. Whats weird is that i got 14 000 in season one and my teams are full of siver bots :(

I think the elo right now is pretty fucked. In csgo I never really grinded matchmaking for a high rank and I was around DMG. At beta I played with a friend we got 13k rating. In release same duo we got around 7.5k.
I also tried solo Q. After placements with about 45% winrate and top/2nd fragging every single game I got 1.7k rating. My first match after placement was -0 for loss and +350 for win

i was gold nova 2 in csgo and got silver 1 in cs2 but it feels that the players i play with and against are better than silver 1 but it is usual for me to meet all ranks from silver 1 to supreme in my games, i rarely play with and against ranks that are same as mine but i do not care so much about ranks i just play and hope to have a good time and get good clips for my yt channel :)

New to the game with 50 hours or so. So if you are playing with 4-6k guys in premier does this mean you're gonna get around that amount of rank?
As someone who was stuck in S2 for the entirety of CSGO, I really don't think you understand how much of a discrepancy people have with their skill in that rank. Because there is so many smurfs and hackers at low ELO. People usually still have good understanding of how the game works.

The premier rating is so compressed, I was DMG/LE in csgo in NA and my premier placement was like 2000, I just kept playing against much better players for placement.
I was SMFC in CSGO and I got ranked at 1,5. Still encountering a lot of players who are twice as good as me, I suppose the elo doesn't say much at this point.
I have 360~ hours on CS:GO. I don't play like everyday, and sometimes I go months without playing. The last time I played CS:GO was in 2022. I just started again cause CS2 came out. I am now stuck unranked and it feels like every other game there's just that one guy on the other team that has 8-10K hours that just demolishes us but remains unranked or is at 4-5K on premier.

I was at MGE in cs go and when CS2 launched i struggled to win 10 matches it was so unbalanced either i was playing with silvers and got 40 frags per match or i was struggling to even see one oponent after those 10 matches i got 3500 elo and i was able to grind my way up to 8k
I think CS2 has a low volume cutoff, I don't get picked up in game chat unless I screech into my microphone.

I was mg2 in csgo, got like 1500 rating in cs2and quite quickly ranked up to 15k, then started facing hackers every match and haven’t won in ages and now at 6k rating

I was silver in csgo and 2500elo in cs2, I feel like the skill level at 2500 is a fair bit higher than silver was in csgo, even seeing people with proper expensive skins which you very rarely see in silver.. My guess would be that because silver was the lowest rank it was mostly trash players but some people that are just solo queue or to casual to rank up, but with elo it's more individual based and more specific, so people that were silver could be elo 0-3k and people that were gold could be like 2k-5k etc
i was lem/supreme in csgo but played too many solo matches in the calibration phase where teammates left and ppl surrendered after 3 rounds so i ended up with 4.7k elo
was global in csgo, got placed in 3k elo so I think the placements just messed up the matchmaking. At 10-12k now but everything still feels off
3k-5k is GN, I believe. 2k and less is silver. But the ranking system only counts wins and not actual skill so you could be playing against MG and up but they get matched with bad teammates so they lose a lot of games if they top frag over the entire lobby. The ranking system is very broken or just dumb at least. People are getting matched with players of all types of kill groups. Its not consistent at all and the patch they put out for it isnt going to help very much either.

It's probably that MM hasn't adjusted yet so a lot of players won't have gotten to the rank they used to be meaning you get weird mashups
