Listening on headphones the Klipsch has a fair bit better sounding bass at max volume, almost as if the Onn is pushing its limits at max and the Klipsch is being held back.
I scored the Onn party speaker gen 2 for $120 recently from Walmart. Loving it so far especially after buying an Ecoxgear from cabelas that let me down for $80 and a $50 speaker offf Amazon which price and specs(80 watt max & bass boost) impressed me but sound let me down tremendously. I’d have to double check brand. Found a very detailed Bluetooth speaker comparison on Reddit that stated the Onn Speaker head pretty impressive value compared to other speakers that were much more expensive. Maybe it was your speaker reviews I’d have to double check that as well. Appreciate you
i got the onn deal for 120 also. It is a crazy value. Do you notice on low volume if you stand close to it like directly in front - there is a hiss sound from the tweeters? I love the speaker but it is a bit annoying to me - but I think it's not a defect in mine - I think it's just the speaker itself however, confirmation would be helpful. I mean where ear is level with tweeters and you stand with it facing you. At higher volume its totally gone, but very low volumes and put on like a voice not music and the tweeter makes some white noise?
The klipsch is focusing on quality not the loud, i think fair enough for indoor or home use. The Onn just like more cymbals which is fit to use outdoor.
Well the Klipsch just has an uneven sound scale. It's top heavy in volume. And it's really not a Klipsch designed speakers. It's a rebranded speaker that Klipsch slapped their name on.
@@JaysStraightUpReviews Not if you buy it online, in the past I've bought things from them (including 24hr fitness membership, a home subwoofer, etc) without being a member.
Hello, I hope you're still replying to comments because I just purchased one tonight and I I saw your comments about the tweeters. How long did you use the speaker before you heard the problem? Cheers.
Both times I bought the Onn Large Gen 2 I didn't play them that much. I noticed after a few days the speakers would randomly making a popping/crack noise.
@@JaysStraightUpReviews I heard the problem today, like you say, standing in front with the volume on low/medium, I heard a cracking sound. After checking out the lights, the strobe won't come back on after two taps to turn it off? I may be taking it back if the light won't come on. It's a shame because it sounds and looks very good for the price, and the vocals are present and clear.
@@bellaboop1 I actually thought the Onn Large Gen 2 speaker was pretty solid for the price and an upgrade over the first version outside of max volume level. However, the Onn speakers have really poor quality control and are probably made of the cheapest components. Thus, the Onn speakers seem to have more defects and issues.
@@JaysStraightUpReviews Yes I've been reading some reviews that reflect your comments, so I'm concerned now, since I was thinking of getting another for stereo. However, it will have to suffice for now until I can achieve the goal of a JBL 110 set.
Speaker break in is a myth. I had the first speaker for a couple of months and the popping persisted. Months later the second one I had did the same popping. They are just cheaply made speakers that will be more likely to have issues.
@@JaysStraightUpReviews can you do a JBL BOOMBOX 3 vs Skullcandy Barrel Xt BOOMBOX comparison please? The Klipsch is pretty quiet until you get up near max volume.

Can you do an Onn. Large party speaker vs JBL 110 indoors?
I did it.
Klipsch will last longer (quality)
It’s really sad how Klipsch is the name brand speaker here but is just getting beat by all brands smh….
Gig XXL is $149 at Costco
You do have to be a paid member to Costco.
@@JaysStraightUpReviews if there is one near you it is worth it. Just on many OTC medications and a few food items it quickly pays for itself.

Properly breaking them in?
Might be causing the hissing/popping/crackling/port noise.

Onn new price $116 at Walmart 👍🏻
The XXL is $169.99 amazon
Gig xxl isn’t loud enough
It is fairly low vol. Until you get to higher volume levels or max. You may need to step up to the Partybox 710. 😆
Does the onn have loud bass with rap music?
It's pretty decent. It doesn't have the lower bass capability of say a comparable sized speaker like the JBL Partybox.
