My kids have asked for a couple of things that you have reviewed and I had them watch your review of them and they no longer wanted said toys. FYI: If I remember correctly from when I worked in retail, those bundles of bills have 10 bills each so the $1 bundle is $10, the $5 bundle is $50, the $10 bundle is $100, the $20 bundle is $200, and the $50 bundle is $500. So in the end Jackie has $1620USD. I think.
I'm not sure if Canadian taxes work the same, but it's also a business expense, i think all youtubers have to do an U.S. tax file if they have U.S viewers. she could also get a tax break from them. plus there are times when these are sent to her

I remember mine being closer to $25 usd max but that is because I got one that came with a lanyard for it. Most of the stand alone ones were only $20 usd. For how much entertainment they could provide they were very affordable (varies depending on how much the kid would use it though)

I paid $10 to get that tamagotchi. Then later I was buying some of the other ones I really wanted from another seller, and I forgot that I already got that exact tamagotchi and I didn't realize it until after it arrived 😓🤦😅. So I'll probably be taking one out😅 they're really cute out of the packaging! I just can't believe I bought two😂

Love the lil Tamagotchi.
I have that Dungeons and Dragons board game! It really is a fun and fast entry into the D&D world, to see if it's something you like without being overwhelmed by trying to create/understand a character sheet. I bought it for myself and my friends, but I've mostly played it with my students.
You only have to make a couple of choices to have a starting character:
- red, yellow, green or blue figurine
- the masculine or feminine side of their character card
- choose from the couple of cards for your character to decide what their personality and attacks will be like
- choose a backpack of items to help you make more creative choices later
There are sets of cards for each of the 4 cardboard maps included, which can be played on their own or in a sequence (they have jigsaw type connections). The rules say you can swap who is the Dungeon Master (draws and reads cards, rolls the monster dice, makes the choice when it's a judgement option), but I've also played it with just one person - usually me - playing DM. During the game, there are only a handful of things to keep track of or make choices with:
- hit points (every player starts with 10, and slides a pointer thing across their HP bar when that changes)
- collecting and spending gold (you can buy some items later, or give up your gold to come back to life with 5HP)
- choosing 1 of about 4 attack moves in battle (with 1-2 being creative prompts)
Overall, highly recommend if that's the sort of thing you're looking for.
I love the tiniest pet shop ones, though the box one isn't all that interactive. I used to collect those all the time, and still would 💖

I do remember Tamagotchis being very expensive in the 90s, I'm in the US, and I remember around $50 back then. I didn't have one though. I did get a GigaPet which was essentially the same thing. I had a Little Mermaid one. I remember getting very upset and crying for a long time cause I accidentally left it on a table at a restaurant while my family was traveling across the country and I didn't realize until we had already driven about an hour cause I wanted to check on her. My poor precious child self. 😅

Spirograph EEEEEEK! When I graduated from art college I worked at a studio that did a lot of instruction manuals for Kenner. My job was creating, by hand, and inventing, the spirograph designs in the manual, had to do them in light pencil, then hand ink all the curves in large scale so they could be reduced and separated for different colors. No computers back then in the dark ages, all hand inking, hand paste up. I would cry if I got a spirograph.

Mousetrap was actually out in the early 60's. I know I'm dating myself, but it was one of my Christmas presents back then. There aren't too many games that have stayed basically unchanged in 60 years. Building and setting off the Rube Goldberg contraption that is the Mousetrap was and is a true childhood delight.
