I saw Engelbert on TV when I was 20 years old. I could not believed how good looking he was and what a beautiful voice he had. I developed a crush for him. Crazy. He was in his 50’, but I liked him a lot. Since then, he has been one of my favorite singers. I just saw him last Tuesday, in Worcester, Massachusetts. He was great.

It's Feb 12, 2021, and I hear Engelbert Humperdinck being interviewed by Paul Cashmere on Jan 11 2014. At 14:35 he talks about my song Lesbian Seagull. I tried to reach him when he recorded the song for the Beavis and Butthead album so I could tell him how much I liked his performance. As he says in the interview the album went platinum. I knew he was a good musician but not until this interview did I realize what a nice guy he is, smart, modest and with a good sense of humor. TWW

This beautiful man almost lost his life toTB. Thank God he survived to bring this planet his great musical talent and great personality. Engie and Elvis could sing the telephone book. He also has great comical talent I pray for Patricia to be cured of Alzheimer's disease my father was a brilliant news writer and died of Alzheimer's disease in 1994 Engie is a workaholic like myself He will never retire until his last breath and he loves his work and always coming out with new songs I love his music and still sounds great I'm his 80s

Oh, when I first heard that song, "Goodbye My Lover," it was just magic. I got all the words written down and I was singing along with it like crazy. Engelbert sings it so beautifully. That song was made for him. I'm going to look it up now and play it and then I'm going to bed. It's late here. Good interview. Very relaxed.
This man's voice has always been incredible, I'm shocked it took him that long to make the legends list. At least he's there now.

Engelbert is MAGIC. My mother loved him till the day she passed, even with her dementia she remembered him. Mom passed away in 2012 but we had good memories of Engelbert in concert. He went to Westbury Music Fair in Long Island many years ago and a few other places. We always went to see him. Thanks for posting this interview. I enjoyed it and am looking forward to the new CD.
