I found out recently on technic subreddit that there are guys that are building those inside the polybag without opening it up :)
I tried that on the 5th day of the 2023 SW Advent Calendar; I was successful, though it was very hard.
I was actually able to do that...WITH THIS POLYBAG!!! Man it was hard tho, so worth it...✋😁
Build in the bag Build in the bag
Building a Lego set inside a bag
It's like building a wooden ship inside a glass bottle
@@BrickStopmotionsI did it with the whole calendar lol
Great!! A little Pocket-Mars-Rover to Go, for everybody. I love it.❤❤❤
My Walmart will make one order for polybags and once they're gone, they're gone. Target is either more likely to keep stock and reorder polybags, make bigger orders, or they sell much slower - one of those three. They always have polybags of some kind available and you often can check their stock online and discover they're keeping a particupar one in inventory instead of on the shelf. It's very interesting. I'm sure it varies by chain and location based on sales data and management.
In Canada I have been able to find it and the Forklift polybag at Dollarama stores for $5 cad. These stores are only in Canada however.
Got this one yesterday as a freebies from Lego online store when i bought Jeep Wrangler. Super excited, more than the jeep it self lol
I bought one at Dollarama in Canada and just finished building mine right now 😊
Around me, there is a store chain called Bricks & Minifigs that seems to consistently have the latest polybags in stock. They're marked up to $7, though, since B&M seems to mark up everything a small bit.
same
True. Bricks & Minifigs offers a tradeoff: more money for more convenience! 😊
I'm equidistant from B&M and the Detroit Lego store. About 1 hour, so usually Target or Meijer is my go-to.
In Canada (GTA), the most reliable place to find polybags is Toys R Us because you can check inventory online. Lego brick-and-mortar stores usually have inventory but you can't check online. Dollarama has them sometimes, but that's less reliable.
Here is the US, priority is give to the a-holes who resell sets. Apparently, they get tips from Walmart and Target employees and arrive within minutes of some stuff going out. Within 2 days, I can find them on eBay for 2x retail.
You can get polybag by shopping for groceries at bigger supermarkets if you make a purchase above some threshold price.
That's how I got forklift one
Fastest I’ve gotten to a racing brick video 36 minutes!
Simply but cool!
Not a fan of the polybag version, which I've had for a couple of weeks. Everything feels so loose and wobbly. :/ (edit: And, yes, the forward-leaning pose and the uselessness of the wheels for actually going over even tiny, flat obstacles also annoys me)
(since everyone else seems to be saying where they got it, I got mine from the main Canadian dollar store chain, Dollarama. They stock polybags now for $5 [compared to WalMart's $6]. Got last year's Technic forklift, the Panda 3-in-1, a Speed Champions one, and the Space hoverbike, or whatever it's called [wish they'd put the names on the instruction sheets:/], so far. Might pick up the 3-in-1 puppy next time I'm there. :)
In Canada Toys R Us has tonnes of different poly bags, an entire wall of them at my local store.
I've tried to find it in two LEGO store in my country and they didn't have it, until I found it on local marketplace. I paid around $3,5 for it because I got a lot of discount from the marketplace. That's the only thing that have the 30682 set in my country so far.
I got this set last week!
I quite liked the big one, but somehow I like this even better! Can't wait to get this.....which indeed is a bit problematic. Brickwatch doesn't show it, the biggest toy store chain here doesn't have it, so far I can only find it at some other web shop at triple the RRP....
in south Africa you could find it at toy kingdom , toysrus and macrrow from the 1st of feb 2024
I got this (at Dollarama of all places) for $5 and I absolutely love it! It's a little odd, though, because I had 5 spare pieces. I've also heard of others having 4 spare as well. I'm confused, though, becauseIin addition to what you and the other person had, I also have one spare of the white (+oo+) pieces. My build seems perfectly fine, and it's adorable! Are the spares normal...? 😅
Anyway, I absolutely ADORE this little guy. I'm going to go back and see if I can grab a few more for my friends!
I really like this Technic polybag, like you said last year's polybag is just a bit better. It's hard to find here in BE, I ordered it online from a store in Austria for 3.39 euro.
I bought this two months ago and I love it! I was confused by the nose-down angle too, but realized that is how it is supposed to be and there you are. I pretend its coming off a Martian cliff. Oh and I live in Canada (eh) so you can get these at Toys R Us in Canada -- I get all my polybags there!
Yeah I got this at a Walmart. I think it was in the beginning of January or end of December. I never saw it for sale ever again, even at the same Walmart!
The warm gear is new to me.
It may just be me but I use these to build out and modify a custom rover but adding flair
Attack mode :D
For any hostile aliens
Bought two of these at the Scheels store in Dallas, Texas. They are located at the LEGO section on the second level. Also, I had to modify the polybag set a bit because some of the parts are a bit problematic.
Nice
I got mine from the lego amazon store I quite like it
Barnes and Noble had it, during the first week at least.
Happy Easter.
in germany, the polybags are only sold in müller and kaufland
I am in Northern Ireland and I have never seen a polybag in my 18 years of life. None that i can remember anyway.
Can't find this anywhere in the UK. My local Smyths stocks every polybag except this one.
There is the middle one 21104 which works great and still affordable. also, that one was built by a guy building the rover itself, too. Not having 2.5 and 3.5 length axles is just stupid, like not having 1 long axles with stop.
i have bout this set on the 2 of feb
Where can we get technic polybag for mclaren or any technic sets
Imagine being on mars and a mars rover comes to attack you💀
😊👍👍☺️
I haven't seen any polybags on sale over here in Latvia, but I did recently order a bunch, including this one, from Germany - jb-spielwaren ships international for reasonable cost.
I found it in a Walmart store.
it costs r150 or 7 usd
This polybag one is bigger than Minifigure scale, right?
I'd say this model would be about 30% to 40% too big for a 1.5" tall human of realistic proportions, but minifig scale is notoriously fluid. It's not any more oversized than a Speed Champions car.
I got this one from legoland
you didnt make a april fools vid this time
Walmart
Honestly, this new trend that companies make such small and "stupid" products so hard to find to boost sales must be one of the most obscene and dumb things ever in marketing, it works, but it's just dumb, just as much as people willing to spend time and energy to buy something... I can't really comprehend how people are willing to put effort, time and fatigue into spending money, something they got by spending fatigue, time and effort... it's just mind-blowing.
And the mark-ups, it's even dumber to pay more for something... just because... for the sake of it... I get doing it for a review like in this case, but when it's a person in a store it's so stupid...
Everything you just said applies to any luxury product that isn't a necessity to live, at least polybags are cheap. Lego is a hobby where people buy tens of one specific Star Wars set so they can have an "army" of whatever, which they usually just stand in a grid on a grey baseplate, I don't think these polybags are especially controversial in that context. Also, they're cheaper than buying the pieces within them (I tried to part out the new Creator 3in1 plane polybag and it was like four times more expensive because a couple of pieces are rare) so they make sense from that angle too.
@@n_tas I don't get what you're saying has to do with what I've said... I was talking broadly about a marketing tactic and behaviour from both companies and shops/sellers/scalpers... I'm not saying that buying LEGOs is a bad thing, I'm saying that making them artificially rare and letting people rip you off making you spend more than what something is worth for no reason is stupid from all sides, from those who make, to those who buy... I don't doubt that buying piece by piece is more expensive, it's actually how every market works, if you buy a car as a whole you pay 10K, if you buy it piece by piece you spend 25K... but this has nothing to do with my point

Hi
It was a lame build to be honest. Bit of a disappointment but it was $5
Could have used 1 more trans disc piece to make the camera head look way better
