I feel like Em took a mild shot just playing with NF’s name with the “NFing clone of me” which isn’t really a diss. So NF in this song made it the same kinda deal with “Drop the T And A. Which gives you EM but then he says “feels like it’s only me” so he isn’t dissing but maybe just snapping back a bit. To many lines are coincidental in it. Shoot you outta the air.. Em disses him on a record with a plane on the cover. Patiently waiting is an Em song.. Em called him a generic version of himself and NF says “Oh you think I’m generic? You sure?” “Something’s off if I go IDOL” Not like NF would go on an interview and say yea I dissed Em. Lol that’s career suicide and his idol. Great reaction guys!

Lots of other people wanted this to be a clap back at a perceived diss. I don't think Em or NF like being compared with each other because they are totally different, although there are similarities. I saw something recently about redheads being compared to other redheads all the time.

Awesome reaction as always! So happy this song didn't get skipped! I always knew the line "trash bag is burried somewhere full of my ashes" was a throw back to Oh Lord. But somehow I always missed that the line "Oh Lord" in this song wasn't just filler it was actually refrencing that song. It's crazy how you can listen to a song 100 times and something will hit you out of nowhere that you never caught before. NF is amazing! And so are your reactions!

Here is the truth. Eminem doesn't smile. Ever. Period. So he's not talking about em in the entire song. Cuz he says "rip that cocky smile right off your face for thinking your close to me". And NF would never ever ever say hes above em.

@@Numberidge I don't think it was an actual diss. Rappers sometimes have a weird way of acknowledging each other. I think EM put NF on the list in a weird way to show him respect. Like he is relevant enough to be on that list. Even if it sounded negative. And NF did a little clap back, but I still think it was an odd show of respect.

NF stated in an interview that this is not a diss to Eminem. He said he heard The Ringer and the line "an effing recovery clone of me" "NFing".
But Nate said he wouldn't respond to this as he doesn't know for sure if Em was dissing NF for certain.
And NF also said he wouldn't diss a someone he sees as his idol and someone he looked and still looks up to.
In short he wouldn't diss someone for no reason.
He's more likely to diss himself than anyone else.

I agree about the Em thing. Too many coincidences imo.
1. "Drop the T&A" (also a reference to raunchy music, which lots of ems music is) - but it leaves ME...but also EM.
2. Write my name on your hit list - in the Ringer he used NFs name in wordplay to diss him. NF is telling him to back off.
3. "Shoot you out of the sky" - Em's album the Ringer was on was Kamikaze with an airplane on the front. A kamikaze fighter is a plane that's going down by choice, NF is saying you won't get the chance - I'll shoot you down myself.
4. "Your punch lines you are not landing" - a Kamikaze plane literally doesn't land. Direct reference to his album.
5. "Wearing my merch stomping on your arrogant turf" - they are both from Michigan
Idk - I think NF is just that smooth and subtle with his wordplay. I don't think it's a stetch

Plus if NF was going to go after someone in a song he would call them right out, he wouldn’t do it in a passive aggressive way, it would be point blank and nobody would want to be on the receiving end if he was coming at you!

There's so many doubles on this track. "Drop the T and A in TEAM (EM), sometimes I feel like it's only me. The inverse of "EM" is "ME" 🤯 He's not attacking EM, but paying homage; "Patiently Waiting." Also, the "put my ashes in a trash bag", was a nice reference back to "Oh Lord."

This is one of my favorite songs of Nates catalog. I would like you to hear Nates song Escape off his Moments album. The one before Mansion, he mentions it in Intro 1. And yes many of his fans haven't heard that album. If you listen to it close your eyes and tell me Nate Sonically doesn't sound exactly like Ems voice, as he looks up to Em and tried to emulate him in this song. But with Nates flare. It’s hard to tell if this is aimed at Em or not, there’s a lot of coincidences that can support it, where he went off with “write my name on your hit list” (Eminem named several rappers he wasn’t fond of and named it his hit list) to “shoot you out of the sky like your bars are not landing” Eminem’s artwork for his Berserk album it’s a tail end of the plane again this is the same album where ‘Em dropped the “NF-ing recovery clone of me” and other subtle jabs. Personally I don’t think it’s diss i just simply believe it’s an acknowledgement saying that he is here and he can do this with the best of them.

At the time this was realized there was a rapper here on CZcams blowing up and had a 9 min diss track called MUSH, which has been removed since. IAmtherealAK is the artist his name is Austin (A) part of AK just like Nate(NF). The words Nate used fits perfectly with AK catalog and words used in his songs.

Im guessing someone told you guys he dissed em in this song. Some people say that because of the "theres no i in team but drop the t and a feels like theres only me". They think its a reference to em but its just a play on the no i in team saying. No diss there, even if that was a mention of eminem the line doesnt contain a diss.

What people don't understand is that when NF says "rip that cocky smile right off your face" People don't realise that he is talking to himself that has his face painted with the black paint fake smile that he has in Therapy Session and Outcast. I can't say Paid My Dues as that came out after The Search album so don't even try and correct me.
That being said he is talking to himself, also NF mentioned in an interview that he can't say for sure if Em was talking about NF on The Ringer and even if he was that he wouldn't respond to something like that as that's not something he wants to be involved in as he is in his own lane. As well as he doesn't want to battle someone he idolised. I know this is in long detail but it does my head in when people think these 2 amazing artists are sending shots at each other. JUST STOP and enjoy the music for Pete's sake.
I do hope you hit Let Me Go, I Miss the Days, and Trauma off of The Search while on the journey. I don't see how a journey can be done while leaving those songs off. Returns is one of his most lyrically impressive songs, but these other songs are more in line with the journey. (I would include Returns with the journey, but I don't see a single song off The Search to skip).

I always thought was to Em as of the part he says gas of gasoline, like Em in Forget about Dre. Also shoot you down from the sky, Kamikaze has a jet in the front and also the same part as you mentioned patiently waiting.
THIS IS NOT A DISS TO EM, NF isn’t someone who would release a diss mostly for a rapper he admires as he’s mentioned many time in interviews before and after this song, em did take a little shot at NF but nothing for NF to ever say anything back so for those who keep advocating that he did diss him back, aside from the fact that it was such an insignificant dis from em’s part NF has very thick skin, your just reaching, but was a good reaction and don’t blame you guys at all as Ik many say that even before the reaction to this song, keep up the good work👍
But on a completely different note I do think NF is one of the only rappers that could stand a chance in a diss off with em, many rappers that em has ended their careers off a diss usually focus on em’s physical stuff or money, which is such a poor way to go with a diss track to one of the greatest and richest rappers of all time, not to mention all of em’s problems he overcame and were made public so attacking him as well through his hardships is a weak point to diss him since he survived those instances and hung those problems to dry for the public eye, but NF Also talks about his struggles and problems openly and even though NF doesn’t have as much money and accomplishments as em, he doesn’t care enough for those things to be used as ammunition in a diss track against NF, so I think NF would attack em with psychological bars and emotional bars, which NF is amazing at, it would never happen but NF vs Em diss tracks would break the internet

Which EM says he doesn’t use subliminal, so it’s a way to show they’re different.
