    Great running Harry. Cappadocia looks stunning! You did great to be able to keep going as you looked tired at the aid station. It's a great skill to keep calm after missing a turn. To be able to refocus and retrace your steps and catch the guy in front to end up in 3rd place. Like you say it's amazing what the body can do if you push on past your perceived limits! Look forward to watching your running adventures in 2019.

    Awesome running Harry and a great recovery from when things were tough! Could I please ask a question? I’m a vegan who has just turned 54 and was training for the UTMB OCC ballot last year until I picked up an Achilles injury 3 weeks before my second ultra, the Snowdonia Classic Quarter 50 mile. I’ve been through some gait analysis with Shane Benzie and the recovery is well on the way. I do feel though that recovery in general takes longer these days. Do you have any advice for those of us in our 50’s and beyond that are still running hard?!!! Loving your videos dude! John

    Hi Harry, I wondered if you've read the book Born to Run by Christopher McDougall and what your thoughts are on it? Maybe you could discuss this in a new video, ex. favorite chapter, top five ideas you took away from the book? I found it very inspirational and educational on many levels. Many of the books out there now take the angle 'how to improve your training' or 'my story' which is far too repetitive. Anyway, let me know your thoughts on the book, and if you haven't read it, I'd be interested to hear what you think afterwards. Thanks.

    • @HarryRunsUK
      @HarryRunsUK  Před 5 lety +1

      For sure I’ve read Born to Run. A great insight to Ultra running on some levels and ideas. But I don’t agree with everything in the book. Not sure I’d do a video on it but maybe something similar discussing running books overall that I took a lot from and value.

      Hey Kaikala I eat a whole food plant based diet (vegan). So really focus a lot on fresh fruit and vegetables, brown rice, legumes, potatoes, oatmeal, nuts. Tastes great, keeps me fuelled all day every day and my recovery great. I’ve made some videos in the past showing what I eat. If you scroll trough my videos you should see some. But I will make another soon!
