- The One Piece Live Action was the best anime to live action adaptation I have ever seen. While it wasn't perfect, it did perfectly capture the essence of what made One Piece feel so special. In this video, you will find a review on this Netflix project containing most of my thoughts on it. It took a long while to make, so I hope it will provide value to someone.

Thanks bro!
According to the showrunner, 7-8 had a lot more moments with Usopp. They even filmed it, but it did not make the final cut. Probably because of the strike. But damn...I agree with you Usopp seems underutilized in this season.
Wow, I didn't know that. Hopefully they do more with his character in season 2.
That's not true. In the city of Wano when Kurozumi Tama offered Luffy food for rescuing her thinking that she had more. When he learned that she starved because he ate all she had he felt guilty. In fact, this was the main motivation to take down Kaido. Plus, food makes Luffy heal faster.
My main point was that Luffy isn't observant enough to pick up on those kind of things. He doesn't think about the potential consequences of his actions, especially when it comes to food.
@@HotRodsteri think you’re mistaken to be honest. the ONLY time Luffy considers consequences for actions is when it comes to food.
his motivation in about a third of the arcs in the series is about giving his friends a place where they can eat whatever they want.
@@cwega2463 Can you provide an example from the anime showing Luffy considering the consequences of his actions with food? In my memory, it never happens. Anytime someone offers him food, no matter how rich or poor they appear to look, he accepts.
@@HotRodster i don’t mean for himself, i mean for other people.
The Joker is the Joker, he's bad shit crazy. Buggy is not a psychotic clown, he's a normal dude with a huge inferiority complex pretending to be big, to the point it seems he is trying to convince himself of his greatness, because not even himself believe in him. He breaks character constantly. The Joker is literally a madman insane dude, lol. I really did not get that much of a Jocker vibe from Buggy, maybe like... the first minute? XD
this vid is good, immediately subbed
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed. 😊
Morgan was a narcissist, both in text and the anime, they just made it more subtle as to be easier for live action.
Kuro may not have had his whole crew, but I guess the showrunners played a haunted house concept to save money. It made Kuro creepier though and I still hate it if someone adjusts their glasses like that.
At least the show kept Usopp's candy striper moments, how he told stories to Kaya like he did with his mom.
Yeah the show has it's problems, but it is the best live action adaptation of anime made in the West I've ever seen. So much so, I've been trying to audition for it. I want to help the showrunners bring Chopper to life. My guess is possibly motion capture CGI, maybe some puppetry and fur suits. In any case, I can do it!
That's cool! I hope you get to be a part of it. It's always good to have passionate fans to bring this show to life. And I agree with you that despite its flaws, its still definitely the best live action adaptation of an anime.
Personally, I can see the "different kind of pirate" is a nod to One Piece's pre-series one shot, where Oda established distinct types of pirates (peace mains vs morganeers).
1. I remember a recent video that Oda mentioned that their was Peacemain pirates and Morganagers
2. I remember from Honest Trailers called Kalador as “the butler actually did that”
3. I liked Sanji from Live Action
4.Garp might revel he’s Dragon’s son in Post Enemies
5. I agree my feelings about Garp
6. Good ending points
Deceptive title as this is 80% complaining that it’s not like the anime
I don’t see it that way. There are 15 sections and 8 of them are praising the show. And most of the negative sections are minor criticisms.
I got annoyed at the nitpicking lol
@@timpi845 That’s fair. 😂 I just wanted to mention every little thing, which is why the video came out so long.
I don't think it's a perfect adaptation. It's a good one, but there's no adapting this manga. Even the anime couldn't do it justice. The live action is by FAAAAAR the worst iteration of this story. I think that the only positive purpose that it could serve is that it will get a few people to actually read the manga. That's what it's for. It will never be finished anyway. By the time they got to the end of this story, even at the breakneck speed they're telling it, all the actors will be senior citizens.
