A lot of recipes for the richest and most flavourful chocolate cakes include some form of acidity, sometimes in the form of a splash of vinegar, and other times in buttermilk/sour cream type ingredients. Curdling your milk with vinegar before adding it to a chocolate cake is fairly common too! I highly recommend it :)

Pitch black at the end, but train tracks and gravel and everything. I SHOULD have known they'd have a train front set up in the darkness, and I SHOULD have guessed they'd use a train horn.

My best friend went through all kinds of shit as a kid in a nasty neighborhood, and he has a full-on fight response to scares that includes all sorts of twitches along the way to a defense stance.
