Thanks very helpful! I guess all the dislikes are from the landlords who purposely dont have washer hookups in their rentals because they pay the water or have horrible laundry rooms that they dont keep up on for their tenants.

I hooked up my washer to my sink using this video, with some slight modifications. I didn't use the quick release valve or the garden hose faucet. KEEP IN MIND... I have a 3/8" sink hose, so all my connections are 3/8" but some sinks are 1/4" so before you go to the store double check what your sink has. DON'T FORGET THE TEFLON TAPE!!!
Shopping List: (1 of each for just a cold connection, or 2 of each for hot and cold)
-T - Adapter = Brass Craft Valve Adaptor. Add a 3/8" comp outlet to a valve. 3/8" OD female compression, 3/8" OD compression, 3/8" OD compression
-Dishwasher hose = 3/8" Comp to dishwasher, 3/8" Comp to valve
-Washer hose adapter = Everbuilt Compression Adaptor 3/8" in OD x 3/4 in MP

Easier to use the sink itself. I took off the aireator n got a male/female hookup from Home Depot. Also a Y adaptor. Clips on like a dishwasher. Only no pressure release. hand loosen n tighten n drips in sink. Fill warm water manually, Then off for cold rinse. Bought extension hose to drain in shower (faster draining).

Great Video even this many years later, as i find myself in this situation. I live in an apartment that is actually in a warehouse. I have been looking for portable washing machines, but noticed that the regular washing machine uses same volts as portable, so i can instead buy the regular washing machine. Which is great for blankets and bigger items. I saw this video and have a huge bathroom to accommodate the washing machine. Was wondering if you have a dryer solution? i see that there are ventless dryers and portable closet type dryers or if you just hang dry.

I would think the water would be at pressure in the pipe all the time. So there is less pressure when open a valve, so the pressure Inside the pipe remains constant doesn't matter if it's contained by a pipe or by a closed valve.

    Hi
Is this also good for the
Washer & Dryer Combined ? If yes , do I drain water in the bathroom sink OR Can I drain it into the bathtub ?
Asking because you said the hose had to be above the water line in the washer. By using bathtub the hose I guess would go up BUT then wouldn't it bend to drain into the tub ??
I am still looking to buy my new washer & dryer all in one but I am renting an apt in a house. The entire top floor. Will I be able to still but the all in one washer & dryer and use the hoses and other things your using here ???
Hope you read this and reply.

    Canada.

so where do.i get a cap for the hot on the back of the washer? I heard it can leak if you don't cap it.
will a 2 liter cap work?

Just like in Medicine or Law, this is another language. As it's really great, may I suggest you to write the specifications and the exact name and measurements, please? I went to Home Depot, but there are a large variety and sizes. and those gentlemen, couldn't help. Did know what a faucet connector was. Yes! Incredible!
