Just a quick run review of my thoughts on the Grote LPYS-006 guitar. Video mentioned is at • I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW ... More details on this guitar at grotechina.com
I have the same one in purple. Thing plays great. I decked it out with gold hardware and a gold Duncan Distortion in the bridge. I had some old golden pickup from a cigar box guitar that I threw in the bridge and boyyy. The guitar was 199, the Duncan I got for 95 so less than 300 all in and the thing plays like a high end epiphone.
Very cool, Randy! Man I have been looking for a couple reviews on these beautiful Grote Les Paul style guitars. Not much on The Tube on these guitars. And this one is gorgeous!! On my wish list... and probably this same color - especially now, after seeing yours. I'd love to hear it. Was hoping you were going to lay down a few riffs for us! But anyway - nice job, and Brother... that one is a beauty!
kool. just got a grote es 335 it kicks butt. i had a gibson es 335 in mid 70s and a gibson es 345 in '80s, i'm not nuts but i'll put this grote against them anyday!!! may just swap the pups for tnt humbuckers/got about 30 gits and wow for the $$$ it is a bang as hard as ac dc rock!!! j bklyn ny
How much does the guitar weigh? Actual Les Pauls are around 9 pounds. How about this one? I am looking for a Les Paul style guitar and would like one on the heavier side!
Thanks. I have found the info on Amazon to be unreliable. I ended up buying the guitar and I am really happy with it. It sounds great and it is on the heavier side like I was hoping. If I had to guess I would say it weighs around 8-9 pounds. It also looks great! Mine had a small indentation between the first two frets near the body, but that should have no effect on the guitars playability! @@randyatthelake8149

I bet that sounds really good and looks great. Mine seems to be my go to guitar lately and is holding up pretty good. Thanks for commenting

I'm not sure, I purchased mine on amazon. They have specifications listed there. Also you might be able to find it on Grote's official website.
