Yeah, Norman did what he doesn't usually do, namely keep something in reserve during the first 200m. You can actually clearly see him put the pedal down at about 220m. I think, if he did that more often, he would be more successful. Great run!

When I watch Norman, I always feel he is the most naturally- suited 400 man around ( yes including Gardiner/Kerley/Alison, etc). That said there is something about his style that frustrates me. I'm not a qualified coach, so I might be talking nonsense, but he doesn't seem to flow nicely. I mean look at Van Niekirk and you will see what I mean. Norman is powerful and amazingly strong, but I feel he could get closer to Wade's WR if he loosened up a bit and stripped back a touch on muscle bulk. Any comments, or am I seeing things that are not there?
