The biggest saw I have right now is a Homelite 7-19c at 82cc. My carb kit should be here in a couple days. That thing has 7/16" semi chisel chain on it and I can't wait to get it done and in some wood. I never ran 7/16" chain before but I'm guessing the chips are gonna be pretty big. I didn't port it or anything, I just wanted to fix it to get it running to see what it's like then if it's good, it's gettin a full restoration.

I love the Carlton plates. Simple, never wear out and easy to pack around. I never do but every night back at camp or home I can tune a chain to perfection. The slope on the rakers are the best part and I will use the file guide a couple times through the chains life to just get them balanced and even from side to side. You have your 125 and I have my 61 Husky's I port and polish for that extra oomph. Yup, We have an addiction that will never be cured, LOL. Take care bud and stay safe out there eh !

Starting to understand the rakers and different filings and grinds. Ongoing lessons to learn.
My main ponders and questions to this video would pertain to the wood being bucked. What kind of trees and how old each one is?
I know counting rings and describing the tree is usually an after thought, but i thought maybe some of the younger generation would be interested to know more about the wood.
There are quite a few tree lovers that cringe when they see a chainsaw and i like to give as much information about the tree and why it needs pruned/trimmed or cut down.
Raising awareness of the flora is like being kind to the environment.
    "there must
    be sawdust"
Creating sawdust is giving back to the earth. Creating micro nutrients for fungus and insects to flourish is the true calling for tree tenders.
Whether we know it or not.
