Maximum Allowable Stem Torque (MAST):MAST refers to the maximum torque that can be applied to the stem (the shaft) of a valve without causing damage or compromising its functionality.
Factors Affecting MAST:The design and materials of the valve stem play a significant role in determining MAST.
Lubrication, temperature, and pressure conditions also influence the MAST value.
    Safety Considerations:
Exceeding the MAST can lead to valve stem damage, malfunctions, or even valve failure.
Full Bore and Reduced Bore Valves:
    Full Bore Valve:
A full bore valve has an internal diameter equal to the nominal pipe size.
It allows unobstructed flow and minimizes pressure drop.
Full bore valves are preferred in applications where maximum flow capacity is crucial.
    Reduced Bore Valve:
A reduced bore valve has a smaller internal diameter compared to the nominal pipe size.
It may result in higher pressure drop but is more cost-effective.
Reduced bore valves are suitable for applications where lower flow rates are acceptable, and cost efficiency is a priority.
Isolating a Valve from a Line:
    Valve Isolation:
To isolate a valve from a line means to completely stop the flow through that valve.
This is typically done for maintenance, repair, or to redirect flow in a piping system.
Valve isolation involves closing the valve to create a barrier, preventing fluid or gas from passing through.
    Isolation Techniques:
For manual valves, isolation is often achieved by manually turning a valve handle to the closed position.
Automated valves can be isolated using control systems or actuation mechanisms to close the valve remotely.
Proper isolation procedures are essential to ensure safety and effective maintenance of the valve and the connected system.

    Good Evening sir
I have seen almost all of your videos. All of them are very important. Appriciate you for your work.
I would like to suggest some topics for new concepts such as,
    1.Technical bid evaluation TBE procedure
    2.Technical bid Analysis TBA Procedure
    3. MTO preparation procedure
    4. Request for Quotation RFQ
    5. Material Requisition MR
Could you please upload detailed videos for above topics

Not necessarily it's ok if actuator output is higher than MAST, depending on application. The actuator only outputs the torque needed so as long as the valve doesn't jam or isn't subject to more breakout or dynamic torque for the application
