  • Máire Treasa Ní Dhubhghaill is joined in studio by Lindsay Peat and Pat McCarry as they look back on Ireland's win over Italy in the Six Nations.
They look at Ireland's sloppiness in the first half and why Andy Farrell won't be happy with some aspects of their play.
They look at some of the key positions and whether or not Ireland will look to make some changes against Wales.
And was it a try or not? They discuss the Scotland and France game, and the fall-out from the Dupont Law.

It's brilliant that Ireland has such a strong squad. Also the underage teams look strong. We have a great future along with the present Irish senior team. Great structure from our schools.

Full Back isn't our only gap... We also have an issue at Outside Centre. Ringrose is first choice, with Henshaw the back-up. But then who? And we need to remember that Henshaw and Ringrose have both been injured at the same time...

@@readesiun988 Fawley can and has filled in at Full Back, but he isn't a natural Full Back and it isn't where he sees himself.
Full Back is a Specialist and Specialised position. Is a "fixer upper" our best option going forward?
Keenan has been remarkably injury free so far in his career but, can we rely on that continuing?
Fawley, like most of the natural out Halfs that occasionally play centre has played far more 12 than 13 - and it's 13 where I have concerns...

I would of included Hume or Osbourne in the squad somewhere and have them cover outside centre moving Henshaw inbetween 12 and 13. We have Depth in the 13 position in Ireland, we just need to give them more international experience and not do what we did with Sexton and have Ringrose play 80 minutes every game unless he’s injured

Outside centre isn't an issue. Both Henshaw & Ringrose are outstanding 13s, Aki can do a job there & in terms of future, Frisch is tearin it up & Osbourne/Frawletly look promising. Hugh Gavin in the U20s looks like a unit too. There IS a BIG gap at fullback but also loosehead. It's Porter or nothing tbh. Both church & killer will retire shortly, defo neither will be at the next RWC & Loughman's, imho, not international standard. Milne, Clarkson miles off ready for this level etc. Ask Jager to switch sides?

Anyone can stop Ireland if Ireland drop their standards, so the Irish need to stay focused.
