- The Spy Who Loved Me is a full campaign mod for GoldenEye that aims to recreate the original film from 1977. Please keep in mind this is a work in progress. I'm showcasing the 11 playable levels in this build that was given to me, this time on emulator instead of real hardware.
Thanks to José García for the thumbnail art!

FAQ:
1- Can this be played on N64? Yes, you can check footage here - czcams.com/video/lr5t4sp5MXE/video.html
2- Is this releasing on cartridge? No. Any listing online offering that is a scam trying to profit from other's work and selling outdated and unfinished versions.
3- When is this releasing? When it's done, this is a fan project worked on spare time.
Amazing work!
Multiplayer too?
Either way this has me stunned!
@@vinnyt3090 Yes multiplayer will be included
We close to this being done?
in an atlernate universe we got this game in 99 and goldfinger in 2001 as the final rare game released on n64.
What about Tommorow Never Dies 64?
I wouldn't want to lose Conker's Bad Fur Day.
Fans prove again the modding community can put out absolutely God-tier creations. Seriously kudos to everyone behind this! Looks amazing.
So true, the fandom for Goldeneye64 and the appreciation for what the game means to us is a great thing to see.
Modders do better than the professionals anymore, frankly. I totally agree with your statement.
@@Alstanus yeah, and yet sometimes half the shit doesn't work at times...give me a fucking break
@Ultraman619 - Yep, sounds like the state of triple A gaming.
"God-tier"
Uh this is mediocre.
The soundtrack is extremely good! It's like Kirkhope and Norgate did it themselves!
Do you have any idea where to find the OST for this game?
@@Gameprojordan Try Johnny Thunder: The Ranger. He usually uploads these fanmade OSTs.
@@Gameprojordan I'll definitely be uploading the soundtrack after the first release. I want all the songs to be done first and I also want to make sure they are absolutely final. However, I may at least upload some unused tracks soon :)
@@ThePerfectTrip awesome! Looking forward to it
Gives me Perfect Dark vibes
Honestly why isnt the modding community just getting paid full time for the games we actually want.
The levels have an incredible amount of filled in detail fitting to the movie, just like the GoldenEye version. May not have seen such events/locations as in depth on film, but can totally imagine them being there as recreated here.
Yeah but also keep in mind, this would only look the best on emulator, if someone would dare to run on real hardware, a lot of that good detail would have to be compressed.
@@KetwunsGamingPad This runs on original hardware exactly as seen here, other than the 4K and 60FPS of course. Check the description for original footage.
@@Graslu00 It's true. I ran the demo on my 64 and it's exactly as Goldeneye : beautiful and laggy, but largely playable. Not criticism, it's just the console doing its best and it does it very well. Can't say the same for the Goldfinger one, it's great too, but sadly way, way too laggy, the third level is barely playable :/
I just came by the mod, how advanced is the project currently? I'm as excited for the mod's full release as I am for every SSB64 Remix release.
@@OmegaFrappe I didn't get any updates yet, they're still working on it though. And yes sadly Goldfinger is borderline unplayable at times.
@@Graslu00 Alright, thank you for the info.
Can't wait for whatever new update we'll get from the legendary team, they'll always made a Rareware tier work out of GE
I love the Moore era gun sound effects for the PPK.
It's like the icing on the cake
This game looks fun even tho it’s not Goldeneye, proves Rare had something going here with the vibe they created
I can only imagine how many hours were poured into this project.
Absolutely amazing work
But James i need you!
"So does England"
YESSSSSSSS DUDE
This is freaking fantastic. God bless the mod community.
This is beyond amazing! The action is incredible as soon as the campaign starts! Awe inspiring work.
Absolutely insane the dedication and effort of the Goldeneye community to keep the legacy of that game going in different forms. Perfect movie to adapt into a game. As much as I love the 4K slick realistic graphics world of games we have today, I would absolutely LOVE if this type of Bond game came back into the mainstream. Go to the films and just make a N64 Goldeneye type game out of them and it would make a fortune.
It won't ever happen because of all of the idiotic companies out there!
I remember when I was a kid, I wanted to see all the old Bond films got the same treatment as Goldeneye. As time went on, graphics and playstyles have change as well as development companies. I never thought I see a full-on mod of previous films getting a Goldeneye treatment.
Look up the goldfinger remake too
@@Gameprojordan I saw the playthough of that game a few years ago
Same, I imagined and envisioned all the movies being made into a Nintendo 64 Goldeneye 007 Engine Style Game, even Never Say Never Again.
I always preferred this style to all other types, same raw graphics, enemy intelligence and all.
@@Gameprojordan wherse the goldfinger remake?
@@jungleboy1 it's a mod you can download online. Someone remade golldfinger in goldeneye 64
Wow this mod is incredible, looks and feels just like something I'd have played over and over as a kid in the nineties. You should be massively proud..I can't wait to see what the other 4 levels look like. LOTTA love for classic games these days and it's so good to see talented modders putting their passions into recreating these kinds of nostalgic experiences.
This is an absolute masterpiece! Everything about it from the music, all the details like how the pistol sounds just like the one from the movie I could go on and on I love it I hope this becomes available to download on mobile sometime soon!
This is unreal and imagine if it opened with the theme song and credits to The Spy Who Loved Me. Brilliant. The Goldeneye modding capabilities seem endless. This is just insane. Kudos to you.
Hope they make a Living Daylights one be perfect mod for goldeneye
Amazing job whoever did the mod! The best FPS multiplayer of my childhood original GE, along with Quake 1. Legendary stuff
They really gotta release the soundtrack for this. Absolute banger.
Love it! A lot of work went into this
Estate looks like it could be an early Counterstrike map.
Wow! So many of the levels have improved since the last version of it I played. Some weren't even in it all together!
The level music is way better in this than Gold Finger. Feels like a good mix between goldeneye and perfect dark
This is so good! Amazing work!
This is fantastic! Looks like it came right out of the studio
This looks cool and slick. I like the songs too. Looking forward to the full version.
This looks stunning in 4K! Thanks for keeping Goldeneye and Bond video gaming alive on an upward trajectory!
Just like goldeneye 64 this has an awesome sound track that needs to be released too, those first 2 levels, i've rewatched both a few times just for the music alone! Great work so far
Love the bullets ricocheting off the snow banks.
Also love the dedication of the mods.
the model work on these mods are always pretty great
This is so good. You clearly watched that movie. Great job on this. I like the choice of gun sound effects and the soundtrack is great.
It's amazing how a 25+ year old game is still relevant in 2022. And those mods give it a fresh new look.
Love the sound effects. The Walther PPK sounds just like Bond's from the films.
Definitely one of the best mods I seen. Need to download and play this one :)
What you did is mind blowing and outstanding. I really like everything you've done in this game. The gameplay, characters, and soundtrack are amazing. Thank you for the hard work and fantastic job you did in creating this.
He didnt make it hes just demoing it bc he has a big channel. He also demoed the xbox360 goldeneye early 2. Hats off to devs tho.
Kudos 👏 from an og gamer brings me back to the good ol days of just enjoying a run and gun game and having genuine fun
Seeing the spear gun makes me wish there was a Thunderball 64
Im all about this! Keep up the good work!
I love it when people make amazing mods for the best games of our childhoods
Ok now I want a Casino Royale version
Which Casino Royale? The 1950's American version, or the Daniel Craig version?
I always dreamed of this as a kid. Can’t believe someone actually did it.
@@Bradolol-bs8qn I didn’t have literal dreams of it, but I always wished someone would mod a Liparus level.
Great showcase Graslu!
This is very nice. I anticipate the completed hack.
this game has so much details! Its incredible! For example mission 2... The levels are richer in details than Goldeneye!
Amazing, I want to play this!
All the guys you shoot in level three look like Ashens.
This really is amazing! My favourite game of all time meets my favourite film of all time!
This was really well put together, I thought it was going to be a copy and paste of renamed levels with different objectives. Nah You went all out dawg. You nailed it! It's like a legitimate Goldeneye 2
Absolutely amazing stuff well done!
Loved the detail of being able to see Atlantis in the distance, the Liparus level was a sight to behold! Imagine if this had been released back in the day! Mental!
We need a soundtrack of Camp.
Jesus, this looks absolutely fantastic. A true sequel, with phenomenal level design and music.
It’s going to be incredibly inconvenient for Martine to have that window replaced in the middle of nowhere.
Not to mention its freezing cold
The way those "dummies" come after you in temple was pretty unsettling, so creative.
Music is absolutely incredible
39:36 license to kill 64 confirmed???
In all seriousness, this was a really good preview of the mod. The plethora of unique locations and level designs make this seem like a project with a lot of potential.
Another group of modders are working on The Living Daylights 64. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was at least one bonus level that was from LTK
That was honestly a crazy coincidence. When I wrote the line, I was referencing Stromberg's shark tank, that he fed his assistant to. After reading the book "Live and Let Die" as well as seeing snippets of License to Kill, I find it's just a fun reference to keep in there.
@@Goldeneye1997 interesting is there any information on this?
@@philthyphil1017 I only know about it because there was a brief mention of it in one of the previous TSWLM 64 updates in 2020. It is definitely far from anything beyond that as there has been no official word other than the mention that it was in the early early stages of development
The sound effect on that Beretta sounds great
This is fantastic. I would literally scream with excitement if they ever did Man with the Golden Gun! :o
Your work is amazing!
Dude this is pretty f’ing cool. Awesome for doing the video and with decent skill too.
The level designer could maybe work on adding a few unique details to each level, like some larger structures or scenery.
Otherwise it’s done very well. I like the weapons, and the music adaption isn’t bad either.
this is amazing and such feelings of nostalgia. now it's like i want to see every one of the old bond films reimagined in the goldeneye gameplay style.
Brilliantso far, hope full version is released perfect or imperfect doesn't matter!
whooooaaa! this looks amazing
Absolutely incredible. Well played to the makers. One of my favourite Bond films as well!! Absolutely worth all the time and effort it will have taken. 👏👏👏
I will never get tired of the extremely well-done Goldeneye mods. Never. But also, the silly little roll death at 5:40 kills me every time I play the game.
Goldeneye is truly forever
Absolutely incredible. Well done to you and the creator.
i'd advocate for full recreations of all bond films in goldeneye
21:02 dancing with Kalba on the stage, haha
The little dance he does at 20:39 was fantastic 😂
I'm so glad someone said it
Thanks for this. You know how I like the higher res, higher framerate, undithered experience he he.
It’s crazy stuff like this can be done without access to the source code
This here… is well done! Great job 🫡
Now we have good graphics! This is FANTASTIC!!!!
With the success of Goldeneye N64. Imagine if back then...they did decide to adapt every previous Bond movie into a Goldeneye type game. Would on been a successful video game seties for sure.
This whole thing is coming along great. A Brosnan game, a Connery game and a Moore game.
When this is finished itll be amazing. If the team making these mods ever consider a 4th one, my recommendation would be Living Daylights: theres enough material in that movie to make 18 levels after all. ;)
Hi! Is there any way to get a download link to the build version of The Spy Who Loved Me 64?
It looks very good to me! Love this mods that recreate other Bond movies!
This is amazing I would love to play every James bond movie that came out like this
Hey 90's kids, want your head exploded? GoldenEye 64 is five years older now than The Spy Who Loves Me film was when GoldenEye 64 was released.
This mod looks very impressive. I'm happy for all the GoldenEye and Bond fans that these things exist.
This is pretty cool, the music is good and I like the new theme. I wonder if it has changed in 1 year.
This has made me insanely happy
3:38 When enemies phase in outta nowhere like the Ghost of Xmas.
Nice 007 N64 game mod been recreated. I can't wait to play it fully once available fully at the N64 vault. By the way...4K looks 👌 amazingly realistic. Kudos to the team behind this
Is there any way the music can be released? I love the alps theme!
That Estate level would make a sick multiplayer map.
I notice that in the demo the PPK gun sound is the same as the one in Goldeneye 007. In this video you show, it's from the earlier Bond movies, which is amazing! I hope this is the PPK sound effect in the finished game!!! Sound amazing. I love the original exaggerated sound.
Yes, this will be the sound for future versions. The demo is outdated.
The Ruins Song is so Good!
So good manages too capture the theme of the film .personally I love these old games no massive story line just straight in and play arcade style
Firearm points:
1. Gun companies have started enforcing their copyrights in videogames. Maybe use existing names or call the FN rifle the "765 Belgium", the SW 10 the "Panther" as a compliment to the Cougar Magnum, etc.
2. For slightly more realism (though maybe not easy programming-wise) make the 765 Belgium semi-auto, or at least just 20 rounds between reloading. Details like that convey the feel of actual guns.
You're doing an awesome job and I can't wait for the finished game. :)
jesusing hell this looks good, great effort! And I do mean that.
Honestly you've made my gun nut self happy with how you've named the actual guns and not some off brand name
10:04 Let me first finish rolling, then I'll die. 😄
Holy sh.. this Is like return to 1997 AND the original creators Made this bond game, are really amazing work, I imagine the rare golden eye development team are very proudly to see this
oh my god this looks incredible, i wish i knew how to play these edits
You can follow the tutorial in the description
I loved the Gold Finger one so this is going to have to get played as well.
this makes me want a N64 version of every james bond film
The silenced PPK and SW model 10 sounds are from Syphon Filter. Very cool mod!
Funny enough, I am a huge fan of Syphon Filter. How ever before I played it, there was a game I played called Socom Navy Seals which has these gun sound effects and made by the same sound designer from the PSX games.
I thought the gun sounds for Socom were cool enough to be added in the mod, since they became a inspiration for the game.
Regardless, Syphon Filter is a great game that I enjoyed as well with amazing sound effects.
- The SFX Editor for TSWLM 64.
it might have been ugly, but it was the necessary transition between 2D and good 3D.
