Great guide! I think I will be making this one myself! The pre-baking tip is very helpful. You didn't show the end flexibility though..would like to see that. I think mine will just be out of Sculpey medium, as that's all I've got.
I was familiar with the Qilin because of B't-X. This design looks like a mutant musk deer.

I thought I would be able to just stick them on with bake and bond but you smooth them on with your blending tool. Thanks, very informative 💕🌸
Your Qilin came out beautifully and I love the idea of mixing CosClay with original Sculpey. Did not know that was possible. I love the colours that you used to paint the baby Qilin, it came out looking very realistic. I love the idea of the fur, very interesting way of putting it on. I could sit and watch you sculpt for hours and never get bored! God bless you.

I love this tutorial. I've also found freezing pieces helps if you cant pre bake. An hour or so in the freezer and it's stiff. Like for the eyes.
You should have bought Nerdecrafter super craft kit for this project because I would have helped you out with some of the details of this mythical beast.

I’m loving these videos and your tips are so helpful as I’m just getting into sculpting with air dry clay! I’m wondering why you are using rubbing alcohol as opposed to water. Do you use this instead for clays that require baking?
